  • this is terrible and disturbing for me.damn.. poor mouse its just a newborn baby :(

  • everybody whos crying over this why would you go to a video called White;s Tree Frogs eats mouse? im watching cuz i want to get one of these frogs and i wanna know what it eats jeez people these days

  • Dude you couldn't have found another way did it have to be a baby why? Why must the good die young!?

  • Ok so .. its sad to watch, but it's natural I suppose ... though you dont find a lot of pinkies in the rainforest ...

  • Even if u think the frogs an asshole then let me ask u. We eat burgers.and rice and wat not everyday all from live animals. Arent we assholes too

  • Poor lil guy but in the world its either us or the if u know wat i mean

  • WHY WOULD THEY MAKE A FROG EAT A BABY MOUSE >:*(

  • @cutiepie24681000 I don't make any frogs eat anything. They love baby mice as treats.

  • @cutiepie24681000 boo hoo go cry i would kill the little vermin for fun but u know frogs and lizards and snakes gotta eat too

  • Comment removed

  • You have to feed them live animals or there not interested

  • Where do I get these I need to have them

  • Lol, that frog is like "What the hell is that thing doing"

  • Ifeel sorry for it But im not gonna bitch and moan about it

  • :(

  • Im waiting till my frog gets a little older to eat pinkie mice

  • You could have done the video 45 seconds shorter.

  • @lcville ikr

  • where do you get pinky mice?

  • @lukesta32 My local pet stores have them, but I sometimes have to call and make sure they have some in stock.

  • oh boo bloody hoo! natures doing what nature does!

  • If i remember right, frogs will only eat moving things, thats why they feed them live animals...i cant remember where i heard it, but when thinking about it applied IRL in nature, i can never think of a frog that eats something that is already dead

  • You guys are soo sad! feeding a frog a baby mouse! sick!!! :/

  • @MsCaitlinM thats what we call nature

  • I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • thats fine if it eats it, but i thought the part where they grab it with tweezerz it starts squeeling and then it starts to get eaten it half in the frogs mouth and still whining was sad.

  • im thinking to get a white tree frog soon and im asking how many time by week you can feed your frog. can i give him only pinkies or i need too give him something else

  • You need to feed frogs something else besides pinkies as the main part of their diet. Typically, 3 to 6 medium size crickets are fed to the frogs 2-3 times per week, depending on who you ask, the size of the frogs, their activity levels, etc. You will also find those that advise you to feed them mealworms, though this is slightly more controversial, and also wax worms, though these are higher in fat and should be fed more sparingly. Pinkies should only be fed at a rate of 1 per month, if any.

  • @ehs5mw do you have to feed them mice or crickets because mine LOVES crickets

  • @2007Reaper666 they mostly eat crickets. probably two a day im purchasing one in only a week and i did lots of reaserch

  • People here are crying over the infanticide of a baby mouse...

As if it's worse than the abortion of a human fetus.

Personally, I don't see much wrong with this; I feel some pity for the infant rodent, but if it is truly part of a frog's meal, then I see nothing wrong with this.

However, on the other thing I stated, everyone's entitled to an opinion; though I see the murder of an unborn human baby to be worse than feeding a baby rodent to a pet frog.

    That's my belief, anyways.

  • @Daelyah Amen.

  • @Daelyah First of all, I have to say this is a very ignorant remark on your behalf. Fetuses are not fighting for life while they are inside of the woman. It is quite cruel to feed a live animal to another animal. After all, what would your remark be to eating a live cat, dog, or human? Why do you not actually think of how indecent it is to feed a live animal to another. That is awfully cruel, therefore I take your relation between the fetus and the baby mouse to be highly out of place.

  • @TekkenGodZafina How was my remark ignorant? Explain to me how I am ignorant for statingan observation on how people, similar to yourself, seem to be more concerned about a baby rodent over a human infant? And fetuses are technically fighting for their life, once they've passed two weeks in the womb; and yet, women to this day still decide to abort the child, even after that mark.

  • @TekkenGodZafina And I would not eat a live cat, dog, or human, because it isn't in my nature to do so; but some animals, such as frogs, snakes, wolves, etcetera, have the instinct to capture and eat living things. Call me anything you like, but I must question your use on the word, "ignorant," if you haven't realized that, for time immemorial, animals have been eating other animals alive, in order to survive.

  • @Daelyah Yes, I understand that animals kill each other to live. However, why is it necessary to actually capture animals, keep them alive only to be savagely killed. It is in no way humane to feed a housed animal something that is alive. The whole "natural instinct" resides to if the animal were wild and out in the forest. This frog, lives in a box; it is not hunting for food, so what is the reasoning for feeding it a live infant rat? Why can it not have a dead one or a substitute?

  • @TekkenGodZafina Some instincts still remain in domesticated creatures, even if they were born in captivity. They will still feel the need to do what feels right in their nature, and are not capable to reason against their own nature. And if some animals are not fed properly, according to how their instincts allow them to feed, the animals may refuse to eat, and could grow sick or die.

  • @TekkenGodZafina However, there's a possibility, perhaps, to train an animal to do things differently from their instincts; though whether a frog can be trained to feed on things that are dead, like scavengers, I'm uncertain.

  • Are you suposstto feed frogs mice?? They are not SNAKES

  • @ashleighmartin09 Yes, you can feed them pinky mice, but not grown, adult mice. I also wouldn't recommend feeding them fuzzy mice, but pinkies are fine. They should only be fed the mice as a treat, though. Once a month is the most often experts usually recommend.

  • How old was it when you fed him your first? Do you give him one once a month or something? Is it a healthy thing for them to eat?

  • @mrlongboarding100 I don't know how old exactly. The general rule is that if the pinky's length is the width of the frog's mouth, it is okay to feed. You would be surprised at how big of crickets and pinkies they can eat. You should only feed them mice once a month or less often, never more often. Usually, after I feed them mice, I wait about a 5-7 days and feed them crickets a couple times a week until they eat mice again (the next month).

  • I don't like it

  • I probably shouldnt be saying this but the mouse looks like its doing the Harlem shake :D

  • @beefking69er its not healthy for a frog to eat like that, it helps to know something about what to feed them and not do it cause its cool. and if i had a snake i'd feed it live food too because thats what they go after, i just wouldn't do it cause its cool and to make my pet fat sooo grow some brains.

  • i'm sorry but these just seems HORRIBLY wrong to me. i've had exotic pets, but the only living things i've ever fed them are crickets. i'd cry if i had to feed something a hopeless baby mouse that was crying and didn't even have its eyes opened yet. atleast he couldn't see himself die :(

  • It's interesting to me that people don't seem to whine as much when a live rodent is fed to something like a frog as they do when the same is fed to a snake.

  • @diamondwolf130 no it's not I have a ball python and I feed it live mice

  • It's illegal to feed live rodents to reptiles/amphibians...

  • @diamondwolf130

Why would you state that something's illegal when you know in your mind that you're stating that without knowledge whether you're right? That the feeding of live rodents to something doesn't fair well on your internal morality score card doesn't have any relation to its legality.

Also, are you really 18? Don't you think you're a little too old to be playing that Pokemon lookin' game?

  • @diamondwolf130 definitely is not... that is why they are labeled "feeder mice" at the pet store.

  • could anyone tell me where i could get one of these frogs? its a white dumpy tree frog right, yes? or if you or anyone you know in Victoria has one of these could you tell me where and how they got it?

thanks to anyone who replys :)

    cute froggg :))

  • is that a white dumpy tree frog? could someone tell me where i could get these from? or if some one in Victoria has these could you tell me where you got it from or how you got it?

thankyou sooo much if anyone can answer one of these questions.

    cute frog :)

  • oh my god its a baby mouse!! i wouldnt care if it was a regular adult mouse but since its a baby thats really sad

  • How big was the frog? That looked like a mouse.

  • how long do you wait to give him another one

  • @TATERRnuts You should wait about a month between mice, but one week after feeding them mice, I give them crickets every 2 to 3 days. When it's time for another mouse, I wait 3-4 days after crickets before providing the mice.

  • How nice of that frog to put the wriggling pink thing out of it's misery.

  • ......You see, i dont know if I would want a tree frog that big. i thought most tree frogs were smaller. Smaller as in, they couldnt eat a baby mouse??

  • AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! poor mouse:( lol!jk

  • I like watching Whites eat, they make anythign they do look cute. Where as Pacmans are just plain nasty and boring

  • pobre ratoncito que mala onda acababa de nacer por eso odio las ranas y sapos

poor mouse who had been born a jerk hate why frogs and toads

  • all frogs have teeth they are just really small

  • Im about to get one , any tips u recommend i buy for it? got a tank ... what else do i need?

  • @sawseries54 You might want to search the web for "white's tree frog care."

You can quickly find a pretty good basic overview. Essentially, you have a tank, so you need substrate (one that is safe for frogs, your petstore should be able to tell you), some climbing structure. I have cork bark and some non-toxic fake leaves. You also need a water dish that is big enough for your frog to chill in. Most importantly, be patient and care for your frog.

  • mine is getting bigger ill probably start feeding it pinkies

  • thats sad

    :,(

  • i love the squeak of pain pinky make's>>>>>>:::DD;)

  • my pet shop only sells frozen ones :'(

  • aww poor baby mouse!

  • i feed my white tree frog one pinky a week thats all i ever give it and its at perfect weight

  • i really hate when the pinky is alive. frogs dont need to eat mice so this video is just unnecessary and plain mean.

  • @Tolkien85

    Piss of blodoy hippie

  • dude that was epic!

  • lol i love his death stare haha

  • cute pinkie ):

  • ok thanks

  • how big do they have to be for this i have an sub-adult

  • I think mine was about 3 to 3.5 inches long when it started eating them. I would say if yours can eat the largest crickets you find at the store than it can handle a small pinky. Keep in mind that most experts say that they should have a maximum of one per month, due to their fat content.

  • i have two but they are babies

  • where do you get live pinkies

  • any good reptile supplier, but if you want to save money breed your own

  • i have two of these and they are awesome!!

mine loves those pinkies they are always waiting by the food bowl that i have when i feed them at night:)

  • I've always been told that pinkies aren't good for frogs as they don't naturally eat mammals. They're best fed on invertebrates. I think they're ok as an occasional treat just not as a staple.

  • yep. Basically mice are "treats" because they are really fatty, and hot healthy for your frog; especially whites who are known to be obese..

  • Ya thats how we do it mine eats them all the time!

  • That's very interesting. I didn't know they could eat pinky mice. Does that mean they have teeth they could bite you with?

  • No, they don't have teeth, and they generally don't try to bite you, but if you do end up getting bit trying to feed them, it doesn't hurt you. You have to be careful not to have soap or anything on yours though or it could hurt them.

  • i have one named kermit they are really cool

  • just bought my third today. had the first wen i was twelve to about 15, second i got about 13 and died really quickly. I hope to have this new guy for a while, get him big enough so i can do this with him, badass video but i do feel bad for that poor little pinky

  • I tried feeding my two frogs dead pinkies but they just ignored them... any tips?

  • Only one of my three frogs would ever eat a dead one, and that is only if I were to wiggle it around a whole bunch. I always do live. Most likely, you will have to get live pinkies as well, but you can try wiggling them around. As another user warned, please be careful if you use tweezers, because they can hurt the frogs. I don't advise using the tweezers.

  • @ehs5mw My frogs are so used to the tongs, they will eat anything off of them. I started by offering live crickets from the end of the tongs. Then i changed to dead pimies that I wiggled. Now, they just grab anything on the end of the tong.

  • how bout LIVE?

  • Watch out when using tweezers on your frog's food! If he/she hits the tweesers with their eye it could leave a mark(Cloudy or red eye.)

  • i feed mine frozen pinkies

  • I am getting a frog YAY

  • I want one so bad

  • im buying a frog now awesome

  • This, is a pretty cool video! That's why I rated 4/5.

  • cool im getting mine soooon

    YAY

  • I just noticed that I wrote "are that much bigger," when I meant to say aren't that much. Sorry about that.

  • hey how big does my WTF got to be to feed it pinkies

  • mine are about 3 and 3.5 inches long. i was definitely nervous about the smaller one getting it down, but be reasonable about it. if they can eat the biggest crickets you can find, pinkie mice are that much bigger. ask someone else you know to look at your frog and see what they think, but generally, i would assume that if they can get the biggest crickets down, they can probably get a pinky down.

  • Yeah, pinkies are really just large crickets.
