It sounds like two lovers, who met in the winter...they want to love each other, but it's like there's tension...and years pass...but society looks down on them, drawing them away...and then they finally meet again, and he takes her to Violet Hill, where they sit in the snow; and all's well, if for that moment...

I say that it's not quite honest to tag it as HD because it's not really a video, it's just text. HD text and standard text has no difference at all. This is a video that could have lowest image quality, and still it would be ok. To have "HD" in the title may suggest that this is a video, official or not, with actual images. That's all! ;-)

if you would compare this video's quality to an older video, you'll notice a huge increase in quality...

This is still a video, this isn't text. Yes it's text being showed, but this text is animated. of course you can read it in low quality, but then it's blurry and looks less good, just like any video who could be watched in HD...

I never intended on suggesting this is the official video, but how else could I name the video than the title of the song ad the artist?

Technically it's video, yes. But the actual content in that video is mere text. If it were me, I'd name it "Coldplay - Violet Hill" or perhaps even "Violet Hill - Coldplay". People might still think it's a "real" video, but the title is only a song and a band.

I think having "HD" in the title is not quite honest because it gives the impression that there are actual images here. Images that could be in HD or in standard. Do you see where I'm trying to get? Your title does not imply an official video, not at all. You could have made a video for the song and posted it. But having "HD" implies there are actual images in high definition.

if you look at more recent videos, there's no (HD) in the title anymore :)

You're retarded. It's the fog. Why the fog? Violet Hill is a hill in which a war took place, and "priest clutched onto their bibles, hollowed out to fit their rifles." means that this is a time of war even the priests fight in. The FOG became God because it can determine the outcome of the battle. If it's foggy, you can't see and would have to be cautious.
