I really love oren lavie, this has to be one of my favorite songs by him. The way it flows and his wording that leaves you guessing of what exactly he was thinking about when he was writing it. My one question is, why haven't I heard of him earlier?

I think it's about God, and how maybe he used to believe in him, but he's not so sure about it anymore...like he left or seomthing. a fleeting moment of faith, but now its lost. though thats just my opinion. I like hearing everyone's different thoughts though.

It's exactly like hagane1 said. This song and it's lyrics are Art and art is in the eye of the beholder. It means whatever you want it to mean. So it doesn't really have an overall meaning. Im sure Oren Lavie had something in mind when he wrote it, but it can be perceived in any way possible by anyone. But what really matters is that this is an amazing song.

This is a a hauntingly beautiful song. Don't know what the artist meant when writing the lyrics, but it reminds me of my son. He suffered from depression and unfortunately, took his life last spring. He had blond hair and loved to walk. Walking helped him cope with his pain and overwhelming sadness. If you looked in his eyes, you could see his despair. The song is very touching and I am very glad to know of it.

Its about a guy who lost love that he took advantage of. Although it had been lost, he could now live life his own way regardless, experiencing true pain on his own.

Maybe its also viewed from the lost love, thinking she saw a man who was never really real anyway.
