And by singin NSFK songs he is jst paying a tribute to the pride of Pakistan, he is certainly not trying to compete him. so instead of saying it bad we shud say that rahat paid a marvellous tribute to his ustad. No doubt rahat is the best student of NSFK. I knw its imposible to match NSFK's class bt rahat is certainly the nearest possible to NSFK's class.

It is not easy to copy Nusrat. RFAK would have been better off had he sung this song in a little bit of his own style. Everytime we think we are listening to NFAK and then suddenly we feel this is someone else singing. It is easy to pretend to be Nusrat, not easy to sing as him.

Rahat has an amazing voice. Obviously we cant compare with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan but because he has been trained by him and comes from the same family i think he resembles the next best thing to Nusrat we have today. Amout of Emotion and Devotion in his voice says it all. I have no word!!

of course there was no conflict between them, i am from their city (faisalabad) and have lived very close to their house and i have seen many times live nusart & rahat together, he was always encouraging rahat. so people stop that nusar was not exposing rahat in his time. all the matter was that rahat needed more polish at that time. this is true that nusart and rahat's father was not in speaking terms because of some family problems but rahat was nusart's student since he was just 7 years old.
