After listening to the soundtrack ... it's mediocre. None of the songs have the staying power of the first production and the story is trite. There's absolutely no setup in the original for any of the major plot points in the first. In fact, most of them are way the fuck out of left field and make no sense at all. It's a watered-down Phantom; something that could've been written as fan fiction. Intensely unimpressive.

the three goths were stale, characterless.. not funny scary...STALE. they had a big chance to stamp their mark on the roles....Nothing!!
the phantom was NOT the same murderous fiend who hung people by the neck before...this was a friendly neighbourhood phantom...who ducked from a blow from Raul in the bar fight..

@viewer021 i think you will be waiting in vain, the rumour is that the show will not transfer to broadway, they have added a new song and are adding another later in the year, but they dont think it is going to transfer
Don't get me wrong Ramin is one of the beautifulest men i have ever seen but i hate how madame Giry looks so old and he looks so young when there the same age!
ive seen it on the 8th of april 2010 and i must say that it was definetly worth the waiting! If you are able, do visit this awesome sequel to the Phantom of the Opera
fantastic isint it phantom of the opera and love never dies are my fav musicals out of the other musicals phantom of the opera and love never dies are my favourite i couldnt live without them because i love them so much
@GlindyUpland sorry it took me a while to reply! ermm, i'm not entirely sure when it's even going to Browadway now cos of the date changes! but on Ramin's Twitter it said that he is staying in the LND West End until March. if i find out anything i'll let you know ;)
the first reviews are out, the telegraph gave it 4 stars out of 5 and said its his best work since phantom. the independent gave it 5 stars and said its phabulous
