Nice video! Your .500 S&W mag can generate even more energy/joules than that. Currently, you can buy Double Tap Ammo rounds that are, 350gr @ 1975 fps (3031 ft-lbs of energy; if converted to joules, that is 4122 joules). It has the equal power of 30-06 rifle. .357mag's typical uppoer load are 584 ft-lbs or 794 joules. About 1360 joules for .44 mag. I used the equation: E=[{(M)*(V^2)/(Constant-450434­)}], Joule = (FT-LBS * 36)/100 + initial FT-LBS) for converting from ft-lbs to joules.
