@AriEmeraldstar Lumière doesn't really sound "more" french than the other cast.

In fact, in the American version, Lumiere has a french accent. So, the french voices had a problem: how to make Lumière more French? The french voice actor chose to imitate Maurice Chevalier's voice who had a typically parisian "popular" accent, which doesn't exist anymore today.

Some years before, the French voice of Henry the pigeon in "An American Tail" did exactly the same thing.

@JulieWinchester actually, people have no accent at all in Paris instead of the south of France or the north, for example...So, this accent is for French people very enigmatic ! ^^

Ben perso, pour avoir vécu un certain temps à Paris avant de revenir dans le Sud-Ouest, je peux te dire qu'on m'a dit plusieurs fois que j'avais pris l'accent lol

Mais c'est vrai qu'il est moins prononcé qu'il y a quelques siècles, à l'époque il y avait un vrai accent populaire parisien^^
