why not give every home a water tank (3.1bil $ worth).. and make regulations that all new melb homes need one too. much like the energy rating regulations for new homes? then we can have free water in our tanks, it wont be creating greenhouse gases and our water bills wont increase.. as bob brown said in another youtube video.. this is just a lazy solution by a lazy government.. (what a hack garret turned out to be too.. why did he even bother?)
DxsPro ....water tanks ...great idea, but most people in the city don't need them, we have water on tap.....a service (essential service)...we have been paying for many decades, and it is a great service.
As for government rebates on domestic residential water tanks...it's a trap same as this federal government ceiling bats handout and solar rebate...why? The governments want to know more about peoples personal living space..
so who wont's to be on this track walking in the morning or cycling on a nice weekend and see this desal plant. NO THANKS
Why dont they put it out the back off WESRERN PORT ??? AWAY FROM THE BASS HIGHWAY
WILSONS PROMONTORY NATIONAL PARK IS JUST DOWN THE ROAD + PHILIPP ISLAND AND ALL THE NICE LITTLE TOWNS LIKE CAPE PATERSON INVERLOCH KILCUNDA VENUS BAY THE LIST GOES ON
So if this Desal plant goes ahead there will be know more BASS COAST RAIL TRAIL
The Bike Trail is Heritage listed starts at Anderson station goes to a popular coastal town of Kilcunda over the Kilcunda bridge and at this point the trail offers Panoramic ocean views then the trail heads inland crossing the powlett river to popular fishing spots to Dalyston farmland then crosses the longest bridge over the powlett river then through areas of rich Mining History to Wonthaggi railway station .

The Victorian Government forcing people to cut back on water usage is illegal.
WATER IS RIGHT (essential service)...NOT A PRIVILEGE!
The state government are covering there ass by building this desal plant.
They new about the water shortage 60/70 yrs ago and did nothing.
There will be more dams build, just a matter of time.
P.S....I'm not taking any notice of the water restrictions, and I am for the desal plant being build.
