I really want something like this, but it isn’t worth it if it doesn’t work/company is unresponsive to problems. Most reviews for it are statements about what it does, and "thank heavens someone finally created something like this," instead of a statement about how it actually performs. For me, 400$ is a LOT of money that I can ill-afford to waste. Have you had any resolution from the company? Do you think that I should go ahead and get one? Does anyone have anything to add? Thanks.

Yep, but that doesn't bother me. I asked the company a question about the continuous humming, LOUD HUMMING, Annoying humming. The response was that the snapping is normal. Well I didn't ask about snapping. The humming is about like a fish tank air filter I was told. It's more like a jet engine flying over. Can't stand the constant humming noise.

YES< it is designed to do this to break loose compost from the sides of the unit! You can hardly hear the noise once it's full of compost!!
