  • Yeah, this is what happens in a country where rule of law is not King.

  • well again I repeat. Problems are not solved by stopping destructive activity alone, but by also providing alternative solutions. If not it will be a long cat and mouse game.

  • cutting trees must be punishable by a long jail term. whats the point them of evicting the mau if trees are still being chopped elsewhere?

  • mtofuaro ndio nini jatelo?yu mean matufari??i bet...

  • Orengo, you were home the other day hosting Hon Muthengi. I am pretty certain those huge stumps must have caught your attention. In future when you go home don't just dance, rebuke your audiance if this is what they are doing to your jimbo.Trees is not just about Mau it is about trees, you know those things with green leaves and I dont mean grass

  • I had a bad dream about Orengo. He fell out with Odinga and I could see Raila whipping Orengo with one of these big trees. I woke up before the tree crashed him completely.

  • CHIRA(curse).

In Luoland those huge trees are usually sacred ones, namely NG'OWO, YAGO, BONDO etc. ; it is taboo, and also forbidden (by the ancestors) to cut them down. The tree I see in the video, the one with its branches cut away is most likely a NG'OWO. In Luo existence (culture), the punishment for cutting down a sacred tree is DEATH. lgnorance is no excuse and the cutter, seller and BUYER are all all condemned. The Law of the Land (ancestors) is paramount to all other laws in Luoland.
