It was actually 3000 votes. The very fact that such a large volume of votes for one candidate was found in a pile for another is quite a serious manner.

But then again, people posting snippy comments on the internet don't really have much moral authority to pass judgement on those who put themselves before the people, in the hands of democracy and on failing to get elected did what he said he would do and remove himself from public life.

I am sorry to dissapoint you sir but the UK is by far the less democratic area of todays EU. From its house of lords to is forced colony N.Irland from is proportion of cameras per citizen etc

just goes to show how irrelevant Libertas is, everyone thinks it's an anti EU party in the mould of UKip. nobody gets it.

they want us to stay in the EU but for it to be reformed. well, how would that happen? via inter-governmental discussions leading to agreements of which would be set out in a treaty. er, that is the system we have already. only difference is he's on the outside looking in and he wants to be on the inside being part of what all the ukip voters are ranting and raving about.

I agree that the video seems poorly produced, but this party seems to have a decent idea. With the current state of affairs here all 3 main parties have lost my confidence and Libertas look like they have their heads on straight, aren't pining for Churchill's return and aren't denying the holocaust; maybe a good bet!

This is the first time im going to vote having turned 18 in February and I was fed up with the EU until i heard about this party so heres hoping it works and you have my vote :D.

I dont know much about the UKIP but you have to build on common ground. This is about saving democracy not self promotion. Libertas is doing a great job. Bowing down to Rome in Brussels without a constitution guaranteeing human rights is a huge red flag.

Not voting will show national parliaments and Brussels that we are not interested in the eu and the politically elite's project.

Vote nationally for the political party that wants to renew the contract with the eu in the form of trade commerce and cooperation - NOT POLITICS!

I am not advocating not voting in national elections, but I am advocating NOT VOTING IN eu ELECTIONS.

This 'do nothing' will tell our national politicians a lot! If they don't listen - we vote them out.

I guess I can see what youre saying but the idea of not voting in an election scares me to death. Hitler wasnt a different time. If you dont vote now, Stalin will get in by default. A left wing extremist is not better than a right wing extremist. They are both dictators and that is where the EU is heading without a constitution preserving human rights. Fiscal irresponsibility is a valid concern but its just the tip of the iceberg.

Not voting in any election gives minority view points the right to elect anyone they want.

Whether "normal" people who share views with the majority choose to vote or not, extremists with crackpot ideologies are guaranteed to. If for no-other reason than to dilute the power of those you absolutely disagree with, you have to vote.

Whether you appreciate Europe or not, they outline the majorty of our laws. The best thing you can do is to vote for a party who represent your views.

UKIP deserve to be "Dissed", as an Anti-European party represented by Convicted Fraudsters, they miss the point, not only of Europe, but of Britain, too. We are British, and have the right to control our sovereignty, but in a globalised world, shunning relations with mainland Europe will be counterproductive for us, as well as for Europe as a whole. UKIP's Anti-EU "run and hide" stance would leave us outcasts, whilst Labour, Lib Dems and the Conservatives would dissolve us in the pot.

The fundamental problem with the EU is that in some parts of Europe (generally the Latin parts) they just expect their politicians to be corrupt, whilst in the more Nordic parts we expect our politicians to be squeaky clean.

The EU just cannot work as a political or cultural union, because the traditions are just so divergent. National boundaries formed mostly for cultural, not racial, reasons and that's why they must stay.
