  • Well done

  • this is the original video for the song made by pink floyd....unless you are roger waters.

  • most underrated album ever I find it amazing

  • its a very long time scnce iv seen this, used to have the vhs final cut but some cunt nicked it years ago

  • Yea, i think the plight of the English worker is not Maggie Thatcher's fault, it is the fault of the socialist utopia their government has been slowly implementing over the decades. Taking care of everyone from cradle to grave doesn't work and it has been shown time and time again not to work. Maggie tried reversing that trend and was brutalized for it by all the lefties.

  • @kidjon Socialism is always worst solution for economy. The history of Eastern Block conutries is the best prove. I still can't understand, how can people believe in the political doctrine, who is in fact an faild experiment.

  • The guy in the car looks like the teacher from the wall!

  • @henrytdsimmons

HE'S the teacher from THE WALL movie!:)

  • @bobklose That makes more sense then!

  • this is a really nice song, i just dont know who maggie is?

  • @zealzee Thatcher

  • @zealzee

Maggie is Margaret Thatcher....english Prime Minister from 1979 until 1990....read about her on internet....she was the first responsible for the problems of the english workers

  • @bobklose Yet somehow re-elected twice

  • @bobklose Of the english workers? she was prime minister of the UK not just england and she also fucked scotland right up. since mid 80's the conservatives have had a hate campaign against them because of this bitch, iron lady? she was a complete cow and i cannot wait to celebrate her death when she finally pops it.

  • @upyerkilt123

Hi. Yes, I wrote it wrong. As UK prime minister she was responsible for the problems of the UK workers. A fucking bastard that brought UK welfare to fall. I wonder why nobody tried to kill her when she was prime mnister...

  • Pink Floyd has the ability to make a man feel insanely good then tragically sad though a man should not cry.

  • @cristopherkloeess Pink Floyd can make anybody crying with there deap lyrik. Cry away boy.

  • ez , mar inkabb r.w. elso szolo albuma. nem p.f.

  • My favorite Floyd album next to Division Bell

  • the yards would still be open on the clyde

  • the cold war kinda kept the world together in pink floyd way

  • we are all living between the blades of the final cut

  • Brilliantly composed album..no doubts :)

  • One of the most heartfelt underrated albums by Pink Floyd. Waters at his best. Funny how you just cant listen to just of the songs. Brilliant!

  • Seems now to be sung in Japanese・・・

  • Totally brilliant!! My favourite album next to The Wall..

  • I get chills from most of Floyds tunes....not excluding this one...and its a good chill

  • @gmmakesmehurl if ppl hadnt supported hitler then it never wouldve happened

never mind the fact america was funding both sides of it

awesome video should be made the official clip

final cut was always my favourite album

  • this tune was stuck in my head after playing it on guitar i didn't know what it was called :@

  • who is maggie?

  • @Brandon18valensi Margaret Thatcher who was Prime Minister of England.

  • SHOULD WE SHOUT ......SHOULD WE SCREAAAAM....?

  • the driver is the teacher from the movie pink floyd-the wall :))

  • What did happen to the post war dream?

  • @alleagenz It was bought & sold by the MegaCorps

  • is a real anti-war song....

there is an incredibly effort to understand , the madness of human beheviour..why war? and MAGGIE? (about tatcher)...

well , absolutely agree with rogers waters...

  • @chopper3a War is unfortunately necessary. Take World War Two for instance...had we neglected the situation, where would we be??

  • Pink Floyd is the best band ever

  • Beautiful song, Thank you for posting

  • It's a verry gerat song I like it

  • Excellent job on the vid! This is a landmark album to be sure.

  • Should we shout, should we scream?

  • Its not one of my favourite albums but Final cut song and GUnners dream are one of the best PF songs

  • probably one of the most underated pink floyd albums but i have to say personaly i think this was more of a solo album for roger

  • @ThePinkfloyd1969

    Love this album!

  • Awesome work

  • @golfhammer

This exist,is a short movie made by waters. The poster is a liar.

  • @negrabrocos These are just scenes from that short movie, what the poster meant by the title is that there`s no real music video for this particular song, so he used those scenes to make one

  • @PinkMeddle41 Isn't that intent? You make what you can with what you have....in the day....?

  • David Gilmore and Roger Waters hated each other at this point, barely speaking. But Gilmore (the guitarist) reputedly said, "fuck it, may as well 'jack in'". He apparently saw the raw talent of this album...

  • this pink floyd album shows us that they know what is in our future , its not going to be pretty so make sure you have all your pink floyd on your ipod when the windshield melts before your eyes

  • @bbooz It's crazy to hear this talk on Pink Floyd Posts, but Validates I'm Not Crazy in Playing this Awesome but Dark Music.

  • where these scenes come from?

  • Awesome video! Thanks!

  • in a nutshell roger just needed to put the icing on the cake after the wall --simple as that --i mean cmon man after the wall what are you going to do to take peoples heads off -- this is like a mellow deep sweet come down off the wall --floyd has made a fantasia and musical statement with every album since the beginning --the only one i never took to was atom heart mother ---the rest are fucking brilliant

  • @metalgypsy2010 I love Atom Heart Mother......... but that's me.

  • OMG is that footage from the sinking of the Belgrano at 2:25 ?

  • i fucking love this song

  • it's great ... and it was recorded with holophonics technique.

  • @electronicae2i The sound was quite wide and open with the holophonics. I wonder what the vinyl version may have sounded like, because I only ever had the CD version.

  • love this

  • i Fucking Love This Album. since it came out

  • Ya know I am a huge pink floyd fan , I love all the main stream songs and albums but I gotta say I might like the final cut more than any other.. hmmm a close second to animals or meddle haha I don't know ..

  • I would like Pink Floyd to do a Post 911 dream song...cause I'm feeling like after that date any hope for innocence was gone...If I could I would like to punch Osama bin right in his face....the worlds number one A-hole...."I don't want an air base by my precious Mecca...waaah...'please don't write to me with any rude commentar;y about any f#cked sympathies you might have...I don't want to hear it...he's probrably the antichrist or at least he's a antichrist. So Floyd write this song...

  • @drunkthug4life I would rather Pink Floyd didn't. There's already too much 911 exploitation (that douche Alan Jackson).

  • Excellent.

  • this album is so underrated..

  • That guy is the same one who acted as the "teacher" from the wall isn't it?

  • Wonderful!

  • Very , job well done was lost in story!

This album I used to listen on those big

Old lp reciever player, with these big ass head phones wit that long ass spiralcord!

Witch was good electronics, I won't get into

    8- tracks!but were good in the day, I was 11 or12 I am now 38.

  • Excellent work!

  • wow just wow one of my favorite pink floyd songs. and great job on the video

  • You did a great job! Really captured the feel. Thank you!

  • Roger...

  • this song touches me

  • this sounds a lot like the final cut (the song) listen to the final cut around 1:35 sounds a lot like the last 30 seconds of this song btw awesome video

  • Sheer beauty.Hail Roger Waters

  • OMG! the video is so pink floyd! congrats!

  • they can't be much fun for them beneath the rising sun...with all their kids committing suicide....maggie what have we done... what have we done....

  • send pink floyd videos to all youtube members.

  • send this video to cameron

  • brilliant video couldnt have been done any better . and the yards are all closed. what have you done maggie thatcher you bitch

  • It's the school master.

  • well done!

  • Good thing the nips are so good at building ships. Pink Floyd is the best ever.

  • amazing video....

    congratulatios...

  • I Love This Song!!!

    Pink Floyd ForeveR!!!

  • love this song..the whole album rocks...

  • Comment removed

  • Very clever mixing of clips from videos from the same album into this song.

  • Fantastico, não existe outro adjetivo mais apropriado.

  • hmm :)

  • Well Done!!!

  • In this video teacher from THE WALL)))))

  • @psichodelist yes he is :) :) :)

  • the yards would still be open on the clyde :D

    im from glasgow :P:D

  • I'm italian i can translate the sentence but i cannot understand it, could you explain it?

  • its all about politics in the late 70s and 80s,,,,,Maggie rules the waves

  • na the wouls have closed regardless of maggie, the nips lost the war but not the shipbuilding

  • this is the fletcher memorial home vid

  • how'd you get that guy to be in your video???

  • great lyrics

  • Excellent stuff!

  • thank you for giving the great song the sort of imagery it deserves. The video is amazing.

  • love the song. thank you for putting the video together and giving the song the sort of imagery it deserves-- the vid's great.

  • Enjoyed it. Well done.

  • Mother

  • great vid thank you

  • The guy driving the car at the begining kinda looks like the teacher in Pink Floyd's movie The Wall. Awesome song.

  • it is the actor that was in "the wall" He's also in the other videos from the songs from the final cut

  • I think it is him!! I noticed that the other day...pretty cool huh?

  • @jamesmihaly It is the same dude haha.

  • Very sensible work. I was in high school during the Falklands war, almost nobody of my age wanted to talk about it, we just knew some stories of lost letters or food rations sent to troopers from their families. Bad memories. Greetings from Argentina.

  • Could be the real video. thank you so much to broadcast the best music ever...

  • MASTERPIECE!

  • THANKS

  • Powerful

  • this is indeed one of the saddest albums ever. it feels so true nowadays.

  • @lopedevega111 It will be for ever true until there will be the humans.

  • @lopedevega111 It is an Album of refection. Tell me, is reflection bad, if done at the propper time? I mean not in hindsight. Should've Japan awoken the sleeping beast in the first place??......Jesus, we can't stop it.......

  • Poesia poesia solo poesia

  • Poetry poetry just poetry ...

    Bur goo though.

  • This looks like it could have been made in the early 80s. very convincing.

  • should we shout should we scream!!!!!!!!

  • Maggie what have we done? What have we done? To England?

  • thess intro like things that waters does are super, like this one, when the tigers broke free and there was on on animals too. Hitchiker had some of these really dramatic and gentle songs too.

  • not waters alone . all pinkfloyd don't forggiven sid . the best band in the world

  • ...tell me, why was Jesus crucified? Was it for this that daddy died?

So true in 1983 & (sadly) more so in 2008

  • Yes it was.

  • some one shout. some one scream...what have we done?

  • what have we done...?

  • Only the other three cause they didnt do much here. In fact Rick was out of the band by then. It doesnt have the classic floyd sound but its a very good album and some of the best lyrics Roger wrote.

  • pf themselves hated this album

  • david gilmour hated it at least... I personally think Roger was right to say these things about war and stuff....

  • @billabongodrum yeah, he felt they were rehashing some of the stuff meant to be on The Wall. however, i feel the same as you. the subject matter in the album has been and is still relevant as with a lot of their other work. the sound and imagery just transcends. that's what i love about pink floyd.

  • Terrific song. But does anyone else notice a similarity between the music (acoustic part) of this song and "Sam Stone" by John Prine?

  • Yes, you're right. I've listened to Sam Stone for the first time just now and I have to say the first minute sounds quite familiar.

  • And also the Jesus references in both songs. RW sings: "tell me true tell me why, was Jesus crucified, was it for this Daddy died?"

JP: sings "There's a hole in Daddy's arm where all the money goes, and Jesus Christ died for nothing, I suppose."

I know RW is on record as being a big JP fan. Regardless, both are hauntingly beautiful songs.

  • the nips building ships kid...

  • It can't be much fun for them beneath the rising sun, with all their kids committing suicide.

  • Masterpiece, lyrics and music. Waters forever.

  • dannymartin01 you must be the most stupid person on earth

  • roger waters at his best

sadly 28 years on we still haven't leared anything (iraq war)

  • Best rock album of the 80s. Waters in his peak.

  • what a great song to see on youtube well done

  • sorry meant thumbs up, post war great

  • roger waters is god singer

  • I actually prefer David Gilmour's singing.. But Waters has the more distinctive Pink Floyd sound in his voice.

  • its cool

  • post war dream lyircs

  • Hey, that old man plays the teacher in The Wall!

  • I just realized that too!!!

  • You're right, good eye.

  • His name was Alex McAvoy.

  • Alex Macavoy was sunny Jim in the scottish comedy series the vital spark

  • Thanks to who ever posted this video! And also dont post a comment if you dont understand the song ie danny martin. peace good, war bad! got it? long live Roger Waters

  • Powerful

  • good vid!~

  • danny martin stop listening to wht you read in the sun, dont comment on things you dont understand

  • of course Christ was crucified then, died, and rose again on the 3rd day and is at the right hand of the Father. He died so that we might live

  • duuuude no what hes doing is being sarcastic and kind of like "was jesus crucified for us to be going to war and having our familys torn apart" im pretty sure he knows why jesus was crucified

  • was it me, was it you? Did we watch too much youtube?

  • duuuude no what hes doing is being sarcastic and kind of like "was jesus crucified for us to be going to war and having our familys torn apart" im pretty sure he knows why jesus was crucified

  • dannymartin01 you are a f** idiot, just so you know, plus by using nuclear weapons you punish those afghanis that are innocent as well as the guilty. That sort of action is only endorsed by idiots and the top tier of the american government, if you even bothered to stay on at school after you were 16, which from the sounds of it you didn't and learnt about any history at all you would of realised that many thousands of people died in the Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombing and that cannot be repeated

  • we should just go with the atomic bombs like the two we used in japan and blow al queeda and the taliban to smithereens

  • dude your dumb why the hell would we bomb the middle the hell whenever the middle east is the single largest exporter of oil and honestly...that puts them in a damn good position and if we took over that area like your talking about the oil there would be ruined and plus any other middle eastern countrys would probably get pissed at us and cause further retaliation which then in turn would get the U.N pissed at us and then we'd have U.N all over our backs so tell me a good reason to bomb them

  • i can imagine al queeda and the taliban sortin us out oil meanwhile were shooting their army to bits and coppin their roadside bombs and the rest of their shit also us brits and the americans (i don't know if ur american) are the UN and they wouldnt get on our backs when we kept the UN standing manya time theyre all in debt to us after WWII.
