Yeah that was pretty terrible. NeWaveBeatnik you are absolutely correct, that was in New Mexico not Iraq. As for the Osprey it has served 3 tours in Iraq, 1 currently on the boat and another in Afghanistan. She's gettin hers. Once again a terrible episode.

Just curious, I've never heard of the V-22 osprey in action. Read about it loads but that's about it. Has it every seen any live fire, front line missions, etc?

Very Disappointed calling the Osprey a Seahawk is wrong (no fact checking) Also the whole rescue mission thing ... come on first how often do "tv show" cameramen (NOT news reporters) rarely go impeded on RESCUE missions which are sometimes the most dangerous. not to mention the mock missile lock HAHA they could have at least said there are dramatizations (the science channel should always be correct) also I don't not believe that was a real Iraqi mission looked more like training in the USA

I like that they did a docu on the OSPREY, even though they got a few details wrong.

I admit, I got annoyed at the narrator after awhile.

nope. you obviously have no idea what youre talking about. the engines are connected with driveshafts and transmissions so if one goes down the other can power the rotors.

Science Channel FAIL. There is so much wrong with this segment. They keep calling the Osprey a Sea Hawk (Which is a UH-60 variant), and basically make up crap to increase the drama. This negatively impacts my ability to enjoy this show and this network for their inability to fact-check.

to me this looks like THE v22. I also thought that the title "seahawk" was given to the naval version of the blackhawk?

@mrsushi152 It is the Osprey. Science Channel got it wrong.  The Sea Hawk is the Navy variant of the UH-60 Blackhawk.
