@TheyCallMeHippyBoy actually, that was a State Police unmarked. Didn't notice till I saw light bars and other signs. He tried to bait me into a ticket but I wited till he passed the exit before I punched it, then exited. I fly by another cop at 6:05 and one more cop somewhere else in the video.
@ThunderAppeal The new Challenger handles great for what it is 0.90 on the skidpad, Porsche GT3 and Cadillac CTS-V is about 1.02 G so nothing to be upset about!
I just have to add. The revs are low in this video but speeds were around 60-70 going into some of these turns. Honestly, it just sounds slow... drive the road.
Wow I have to say both the pilot and the ship are very impressive. This improved Challenger is very solid and stable, with superb agility and control, and the 392 just gouges up the road, the brakes also really do show their strength; keep the vids coming.
@secdef0791 I do however there are different models, I own 3. These videos are shot with a Sony MHS-TS10 and I just bought a Sony MHS-FS1 to use for rear shots. I like this style because they are small, light, and you can get up to 2 hours recording time if you use 1280x720/30P. They also shoot 1080@30P but you only get 1/2 hour of record time. Just google Sony MHS-TS10 or MHS-FS1 and take a look at them. It's also a great pocket camera to carry.
@secdef0791 I use a Sony Bloggie (with image stabalization) to film. The mounting system is an old radar suction cup mount and a zip tie going around the cam.
I will be honest. The scenery here is real great (I live in California) and the Challenger sounded sweet. But until 14:42 I was like FINALLY!! Some good acceleration YES!!! I didn't find the video boring though.
@elr456 Wasn't really going for running all out, it was my first time on the road with this car. Will say that with 470 Ft Lb of torque I had a hard time keeping the general speed down and acouple of those turns made me feel like I holding on... but the tires never lost grip. You might like my "Fun Run" clip for some acceleration runs, one over the New River Gorge Bridge at around 160mph and a nice uphill run aorund 140mph. There is what I consider the faster part of this video on that one too.
@chicawakawoo Really? I didn't even suspect that one as a cop....where i'm at, all the unmarked cop cars are white/black chargers or black crown vics.....they sometimes have a star on the side but it's hard to notice. Oh well. Guess I need to sharpen up on my undercover-spotting skills lol
@DeAdiSSu3 In WV you will find alot of GM in state cars and Mopar in locals. I spotted the car after I got behind it, then the hidden lights in the windows caught my eye. When I floored it I knew I was exiting and if you watch, he went from the fast lane to mid lane waiting on me to pass. When I exited he went back to the fast lane. SUCKER! But props to the locals for the $130 ticket for a right turn on a red light, just wonder why it took 3 squad cars behind me for them to write me a ticket.
Nice vid...Always learn the car before any situation,so you know its limits at many different speeds, turn radious etc etc.All cars have their own personalities at speed and you must have them down.
I recognize some of these roads. I used to ride through Charleston WV often when I would travel to Michigan. This car would be a lot of fun on the turnpike.
We have a state highway 114 and a state 16 in NC...both in which I travel on quite often. Highway 114 would be the scenic route going toward I-40.

I was disappointed when I was reading about the new Challenger to learn that its handling was not so great.
From what Dodge says the 2011 suspension has been revised and it seems so based on this video.

I LOVE videos like these. Are you going to put a custom exhaust on your 392? Any mods you might be planning??

@famousjoker16 It was all shot in southern WV. The mountain curves were on RT60 near New River Gorge Bridge.
