  • so disappointed i read this as "cat vs fire hydrant" .. a cat being shot into the air would have been better

  • It can be very hard to breath when your right under flow of water, it sucks the oxygen out from that area.

  • Typical. Two guys to turn the valve, four guys to stand and watch.

  • Wow, that was a high ass flow for a fire hydrant. They must be right on the main. It took them a long time to shut that secondary valve box. It must have had alot of crud and garbage in it.

  • I crashed my mountain bike into a fire hydrant today. I wonder how hard you have to hit it to destroy it.

  • perhaps you should try again.

  • i agree

  • *sigh*

    yeah...i just did that today...

I ran over a fire hydrant. People were coming out f their houses to watch the water. A couple of people were recording it...watch...in a few days its going to be on youtube *is mortified*

It bruises to stay under the water?

waahhh...i feel bad now. And there I was complaining about how long it was taking them to turn off the water...

  • That must have been frightening for you. How did you run over the hydrant?

  • Let me tell you, that water hurts, falling from that high up. I worked for a city water department, and we got called out all the time for drunks hitting hydrants. You can't stand under it for too long, you'll get bruised.

  • I believe you! If you search, there's a video clip here on YT where a crew has to work directly underneath the falling water. Looks extremely difficult.
