I relate a lot to Rosie. My mother didn't die when I was a child but I did have to endure a lot in my life. I have the same type of sense of humor, i am artistic and most of all I am very loving and emotional. I just happen to be a lesbian too. I want to adopt one or two foster kids in a few years. I feel why bring a new child in the world when we should take care of the ones that exist. I want to contribute to society by raising foster children and saving their life.
I hate homophobic legislation. I also hate that Rosie sent the brother away to a special needs facility. I HATE when they split up families. I don't understand how she could have done that. She found them together, holding hands, and she just split them up.
You DO NOT know the whole story and for you to judge her like that is pitiful on your part. If he was special needs she may not have been able to give him the appropriate care for whatever his condition was so she sent him somewhere he could be cared for in the way he DESERVES to be cared for. You were not there. The fact that she tried to help them period is more than what the majority of you have ever done for someone. That alone is a caring thing. I doubt it was easy for her to do that.

You are not a celebrity, you don't have her money so I know you have not done as much as she has in philanthropy. I didn't say you did NOTHING. You said you hate that she separated them, my point to you was maybe she HAD to or maybe that was actually the best thing for the lil boy. I am certain that was difficult for her w/e the case. You keep skipping around my point... You're right I don't know how much money you have or what you have done. Again, not my point. And I said philanthropy, that does not mean foster care, that is charity in general. It's a pretty safe assumption that you have not donated 100 million dollars. But whatever.
I haven't donated a hundred million dollars. :) It's good that she's done that, it will help a lot of people. But kids need love and stability more than money. And it's not easy to find love and stability in the foster care system. He had that with Rosie and she sent him away. I know she had good reasons for doing it, but I still think it's terrible for that little boy.
This is a sore subject for me because I've seen friends and family by people who loved them, but not enough to invest in them.
She has also given kids love and stability because she is a foster parent. She doesn't just throw money at the situation she has actually taken kids into her home. I wish I was in a position to do things like that. Children are the most precious beings in the world to me. I am disgusted @ the bleak reality of our foster care system. I applaud ppl that do their part to help. I could have easily been in their place. At least you understand she did it with good reason..
