I have to disagree that this sounds better in english. Lelouch, even after reebecoming Zero, sounds like a scared little brat, and the translation was a little poor. The original dialogue possessed that slight bit of cryptic over dramatic appeal that reminds me of the kingly speeches of the Romantic era. The Jap dub of lelouch also has a deeper voice. I will admit it seems a little too deep for his apparent age, but it's a more suitable tone for a prince/world ruler.

@Demonshadow1988 it's just my view, but I think you've gotten so used to Japanese seiyus that English voices are becoming general to you. That sounds nothing like Fred to me, if we're talking about the same annoying Youtube FRED here

The only Japanese dubbing I prefer is One Piece, and Hellsing OVA 7 or 8 has some great lines from Alucard.

I mean, I don't think a Britannian/English/British nobleman should sound Japanese either, though I suppose Lelouch was living in Japan for awhile.

to me japanese dubs doesnt show emphasis, netiher emotions, they sound the same, all of it, while english dubs have a tone to them, and shows different emotions :D

@VinoVash1234 Well, I'm not sure what anime you've been watching but the Japanese dubs tend to show just as much, if not more, emotion than the English dubs. That's why I tend to prefer watching English Subs. This is one of the few English Dubs I actually approve of since it doesn't water down the content to a PG rating like most English Dubs.

This needs to be said. Lelouch english voice (Johhny Yong Bosch) is the best voice I ever heard and the anime would be like 30% worse without it. Lelouch's english voice is legend, I truly couldn't think of a better voice to suit him.

Jap version is too deep, doesn't match the character, doesn't have such a calm but angry and twisted sound like johnny does.

As for the other characters the dub has better lines and is faster paced which sounds better

Sigh the dub sounds really unnatural at many points : (, if the company sought out better dubbers for the anime IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EPIC TO HEAR THIS IN ENGLISH !!! Hellsing is the prime example of American dubbing at its finest, seriously, they either need to look for the perfect match for the characters or have the VAs they found fit into their roles.
