Still holds alot of power for me (especially seeing it performed live at the Distant Worlds concerts)

I don't know why people hate on VIII a lot. I personally liked it. The gameplay was alright but the sheer amount of great music, a good story and actual character development made it well worth playing. It was one of my first games as a kid and it always holds a special place for me.

Oh and I LOVE this song <3 Epic.

Whilst I dislike Final Fantasy VIII, I will admit one thing...

This song isn't just in Final Fantasy VIII. It IS Final Fantasy VIII.

For the first minute, it's somewhat calm, then after 70 seconds, you get the more active parts signifying a war-like scenario, then the clash of two men's swords, followed by the eventual strike which separates the two.

One of my favourite songs from the series, though ironically from a game I don't like.

I think this after playing dissidia, seeing why fans like kefka and the kefka vs. seph fight. This is my view.

Sephiroth's human form and weapon is absolutely badass.

Kefka's character and god form looks very much badass. Kefka's god form looks better than sephiroths IMO.

Though Kefka's human form will never match that of sephiroths.

7 has a large fan base. good game. first i played personally.

8 isn't as big, but is imo, the BEST of the ff series so far.

Start with 7, 8, or 9. 10 and up is absolutely horrible to start with. DON'T start with 12 especially. There is no storyline like the others. The main characters have no connections, they stick together only because they have to. Not like 7,8,or 9.

In my profesional opinion, 8 is all around good. 7 is storyline. 9 lots of people say is good.

Sephiroth. Badass trenchcoat with badass sword. God form just gave him a shitload of wings and smashes a meteor into the sun. Supernova was a neat attack idea though.

Kefka. Stupid looking clown that attacks with magic. Insane + magic. Seen it plenty of times. Sephiroth actually had a real background to him. Kefka's god form = total pwnage. Including the final attack name.

This is second only to One Winged Angel in terms of the choral side of Final Fantasy music.

Liberi Fatali and its accompanying scene are definitely the most epic opening I've ever seen, even if they are not as immortal as the flower girl in Midgar.

I Agree as well as far as Seph and his music having too much hype. AND I agree that they're nothing special. But to be fair, Ultimecia didn't impress me either in villian-hood >.> Neither did that... Wierd... Thing at the end of 9 that I somehow missed why it was even there XD and don't EVEN get me started on Yu Yevon. After 7, the bosses kept getting worse and worse... At least the games themselves were each unique :D

Man, this song is AWESOME! And FF8 is one of my favorite ever.

Instead of FF6 or 7, that is more focused on the fights that in the love story between the couples, this one is more a love story than a common FF story. The couple Squall&Rinoa is by many ways, the most beautiful VG couple ever.
