  • Wtf?! Real camping requires a fishing rod and a gun... It no ghetto dumbass :[ Im glad im old enough to vote and migrate 2 another state if i cant stand its infringing laws on life liberty and the persue of happiness!!! ;1

  • Wtf?! How am i gonna get my ass shot in in a national park that aint no ghetto anti-gun guys dont realize real camping requires a fishing rod and a firearm to stay above the food chain, i read and watched many cougar or bear tragedies and ironically 1 dude who was democrat was in critical condition from a brown bear.... No surprise there :1

  • Why is it such a problem to get good gun laws passed this way when more anti-gun laws are done this way all the time?

  • I wonder if he would change his mind if heaven forbid he was ever put in a position that he was in a situation that he needed to be protected and their were no police around to protect him but yet one of us CCW were there and defused the situation!?!?! What would you think then?? are guns really that bad? I have left a few of mine at home in numerous stashes throughout my house and not one of them have wondered off hurting anyone yet (well trained I reckon).

  • If a criminal wants to shoot you or hold you up in a national park he's going to do it, law or no law. So let the people carry...

  • I carry my gun everywhere I go the government has no right to tell me I can't carry it so long as im in the U.S.. The 2nd Amendment is clear The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Why should I have to remove it to enter a government building or a national park. Im still in the U.S. it's an infringement on the 2nd Amendment to force a U.S. citizen to disarm. So long as no one threatens my life it stays on my hip and usually concealed as to not frighten the sheeple.

  • UM someone could shoot my ass in a park before it went through so...whats the point.

  • @Kiddeth Amen...

  • I carry my gun everywhere it is legal to do so, for all you anti-gun people out there tell me where there won’t ever be any crime and I leave my protection in the car. But the sad fact is you are not safe anywhere Therefore I will keep my gun to protect myself, wife and kids. My family is worth protecting, sorry if you (anti-gun) don’t feel the same about yours.

  • if you are in a national park why does your gun need to be concealed?

  • Go back to Turkey you anti American man cunt!!!! Fuck you!!!! People carry guns in national parks to protect themselves from wild life you fucker!!!!!! You don't belong in this country asshole. I don't care if you were born here either. Go back to your native land if that's how you feel about the 2nd amendment. People in this country have the right to possess arms because that's what makes us free.

  • @DEVILDOG91754 screw you. you go back to your native land asshole

  • more idiocy from these two libtard dumbocrats.

  • I hate how TYT takes anything regarding guns out of context. If I pass a LENGTHY background check to be able to carry a firearm concealed, why shouldn't it be valid in a state or national park?

  • Nobody needs a weapon in school..that's why we have security! come one all the problems people face & all these emotional & mind problems & depression. all kinds of shit people on pills. I'd pass weed before guns. I could count a couple of pepole in my head I'd like to shoot which is exactly why Im not packing. That is just chaotic & calling for destruction.

  • @MizzYungMacMar "that's why we have security!"

Please name a security measure which can be taken to stop a madman with a gun who's already inside the school from shooting children. While you're busy frantically searching the internet for that, I'll give you my suggestion...a gun.

Teachers should be encouraged to undergo firearm training and have the ability to stop such a threat and undergo a revision class funded by teaching authorities at the start of each school year.

  • @ihaterobbie123 yeah just what this world needs more violence...you are so right

  • @MizzYungMacMar Ok, let me tell you something you moron. There is fringe liberalism, and there is moderate liberalism. I'm what you might call a moderate liberal, you are so fringe that when you fail to counter my argument you stick to your idiotic dogma and claim victory.

YOU made the claim that "security" is in place to stop school shootings, YOU have to back it up with evidence of it doing just that.

Guns save innocent victims, 40,000 every year MINIMUM according to US census data.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Blah blah Blah Let me tell you something "Moron" You come with pretty tactics & rude replies..I have or had no intent on being in a disrespectful debate with anyone. of course when it becomes that it's no longer a debate. It's just another fool being against someone's opinion because they think differently. I dont value anything you say if you have to call names. That is the only Spot from you is your lack of compassion & Understanding. Black Panthers followed the law & look now

  • @MizzYungMacMar "yeah just what this world needs more violence...you are so right"

YOU'RE the one here who sought to aggravate, YOU'RE the one who doesn't want a debate, YOU'RE the one dodging my points.

"I dont value anything you say if you have to call names."

Cry me a fucking river, how thin-skinned are you? I call you a moron and the delicate balance which allows you to reason has been broken? Not gonna work with me buddy, that's what your mom's there for.

  • @ihaterobbie123 If it Aggravated you that was not my intention..and since it clearly did you can cry me a river. I'd like a debate as long as it's respectful. You're INVALID GOODBYE

  • @MizzYungMacMar Again, you avoid the question and decide to not engage in a discussion you will lose on the grounds of some off hand remark about yourself.

Your intent WAS to aggravate, stop LYING, you're so transparent.

    "You're INVALID"

At least I know what invalid means, go back to school.

Still waiting on one valid point, not holding my breath.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Well you'll be waiting because I chose not to finish an engagment with you a looong time ago..If I wanted to aggravate you probably all I had to do was talk the way you talked back to me..I am in school by the way. Maybe you should stop arguing with people wh odont agree with your generations ideas

  • wow this guy is dumb, absolutely retarded. He is like a male version of Rosie O'Donnell ...oh wait Rosie O'Donnell is a male version of Rosie O'Donnell.

now in regards to the "someone can shoot you in a park" comment. making it illegal to carry guns in a park doesnt keep someone from shooting you in a national park. because im pretty sure if they are going to commit murder they are not too worried about the law. but it would keep me from being able to stop the criminal. not that id want to,prick

  • There has never been a day when someone could not "shoot your ass in a park", funny thing about criminals, they are not very good at following laws. Quite simply there has never been a law prohibiting a criminal from carry a firearm anywhere they like, so why should there be a law prohibiting law abiding citizens who have passed extensive background checks and who have proven that they have a reasonable ability to control their weapon from carrying one.

  • Protip to these fools at the Young Turks. 99.9999999999% of concealed carrry permit holders are not going to shoot someone in the park unless it was in self defense.

In fact there are only a very limited number of CCP holders who have been charged in the past years for using their firearm in a situation that was not in self defense

  • The NRA are nuts. so what are they going to do next, concealed weapons in the airports.

  • @Bander1 If we had ccws in airports September 11 wouldn't happen, asshole.

  • @PoptartPoole

Hey asswipe, I like guns too and have killed my share of combatants but hey don't be too loony in the NRA.

  • @Bander1 Well that doesn't change the fact if we had guns on planes when Sept 11 happen it wouldn't have happened. and if you like guns then join the NRA cause i don't see many organizations supporting gun rights.

  • Cenk you are right on all other counts but the guns. If you were camping in a national park and you had a bear or a robber attack you I am sure you will be wishing you had a gun to protect your tushie. You make it sound like law abiding people would be the one trying to shoot your butt. Not so the case. If everyone in this country was taught to use a gun effectively and were able to carry a concealed weapon I am sure the criminal element would think more than twice before pulling out a gun.

  • If you cap interest rates, only people with excellent credit scores would be able to get credit cards. Which, ironically, would actually be great!

  • Ah, ignorance... Your ass will only get shot by a law-abiding CCW-holding citizen in a national park if you try to mug them.

  • @hyuugaamida damn straight *firm handshake*

  • @hyuugaamida

Except if you get shot first because of how easy it is for a mugger to get a gun

  • @nielso212 Muggers aren't trained marksmen. There's the difference. If they do manage to shoot you first, it will more than likely miss any vital organs because they don't know how to aim. Unless they're pressing the gun into your nose, you'll probably walk away from it--and even in those instances, most gun owners are into martial arts as well. The mugger won't have control of that handgun for long.

  • @hyuugaamida According to FBI data, most shootings happen within 21 feet, of those over 90% happen within 10 feet, of those many happen within three feet. Muggers don't need to be trained marksmen, just lucky. So, a mugger points a gun at your girlfriend or wife, how are martial arts going to help her from 5 feet away? 16,000 handgun homicides in the USA per year, (not to mention 200,000 wounding shots) 1 in 10 are fatal shootings, lucky or not, you are dead 1 in 10.

  • @DougsterCanada1 How could martial arts help from 5 ft away? Well for one, according to the 21 Foot Doctrine used by police departments across the country, in the time it takes to draw, aim and fire a handgun, a man can travel 21 ft, meaning that if someone pulls a gun on you or someone near you and you're within 21 ft (obviously this number isn't set in stone), assuming of course you see the gun in time to react, you can charge the potential shooter and beat the fuck out of him before he fires.

  • @hyuugaamida At 7 yards a novice pistol shooter like me can put a double tap accuratly in you, either in the chest or the from the nose up ( in other words a shot placement that will impact into the brain ). Have fun charging someone that is 7 yards away with the front sight already on you. lol. You probably wont live to tell us how it worked out for you though.

  • @thefastlife4me1 A novice shooter doesn't know what a double tap is or how to perform it, and they shouldn't be walking around with a gun in the first place. A novice can't get a carry permit.

  • @hyuugaamida You would be surprised that not all permit owners are todd jarret. Hate to break it to you. A double tap is pretty basic if you ask me. If you looked at my videos you would see me right when I first started learning handguns, and at 7 yards I was still able to hit center mass on B-34's. Now I can put two shots almost on top of each other at 7 yards. I actually have two B-34's hanging above my fireplace that show that, one at 7 yards and one at 15 yards.

  • @thefastlife4me1 If it's pretty basic then why does it take months to years to learn for most people?

  • @hyuugaamida I think it depends on how much money someone has to spend on the ammo. I know I was spot on with the .22 pistols when I first started. Also it depends on how into it you are. I pretty much stopped my car hobby and now I do more shooting than racing. So I invest alot of time into getting better and really enjoying myself at the range. You do need to have someone that knows a thing or two to teach you, and even watching videos here for ideas does help.

  • @thefastlife4me1 No surprise, double taps rely on recoil and .22s have very little. .22s aren't generally carry pistols though. With a 9mm or .45, it takes a while just to be able to perform the double tap much less get a good grouping with it.

  • @hyuugaamida Actually one of the people I know that carry, they some time will carry their .22 pistol. I call him crazy for doing so. Another guy carrys a 1911 in .45, but yet again he loads it with cheap FMJ ammo instead of hollow point man killers. Yes, .22s are so simple to shoot with and also cheap to shoot with. I need to get a .22 pistol so I can save on money.

  • @DougsterCanada1 Besides that, there are other means of dealing with the mugger. Say you have a weapon on you of some kind, perhaps a wallet chain or even your belt or a cell phone. From 5 ft, anything you have on you that is readily accessible can be thrown into the gunman's face even without martial arts training. WITH training you gain even more options, you can hold one end of the chain, toss the other into the man's face then follow up with a choke or joint lock, even bind his hands.

  • @hyuugaamida You can't be serious... Your going to throw your cell phone at them? By doing so you're going to get yourself shot, because you are showing aggression. It is very easy to hit someone at 2-3 yards. If you don't have a firearm on you, you might want to just give them the wallet and ask for your life to be spared... because yet again showing aggresion that is not going to keep them from squeezing a round off into you, isn't the best idea.

  • @thefastlife4me1 If they've already made up their mind to shoot you, it doesn't matter if you do what they want. In that situation, there's no reason to wait around to find out. The second they go for a gun, you should do everything you can to beat the shit out of them and get your ass out of there, wallet and all. If you give in to them, you're only letting them live to rob/kill/rape another day and telling them that they won't meet any resistance, encouraging the behavior further.

  • @hyuugaamida Well, I have personally been held at gun point before. This was a few years ago before I ever got into guns. I started to fight back, but once your looking down a barrel, it's different. I was out numbered 3-1 and unarmed and they had bats, a knife, and a revolver. But I guess I got lucky that the guys father came outside and got him to stop. It's funny you say that because he is still out there, and who knows if he has a gun either, and our laws can't do much to stop the guy.

  • @thefastlife4me1 There isn't much the law can do, but a single CCW holder can make sure the bastard never commits a crime again. Oh, and the way to deal with someone who's already got their sights trained on you is to run towards them at an angle. It's supposed to be the hardest movement to track because of depth perception and shit, and obviously you want to be moving towards them to get control of the weapon and dish out a beating. If you submit you're only becoming a victim.

  • @hyuugaamida I just hope and pray he kicks in my door one night and I get to put two well placed 147 grain hollow points in him. Just saying.

  • @hyuugaamida I do however have firearms to protect myself with, and shoot them almost more than I can afford. Don't have a permit but I do carry a 3.5 inch legal blade with me at all time just in case.

I am with you on CCW, I beleive in it. I just know that if someone already has the front sight on you and you are unarmed, your pretty much at their will and it's up to them if they are going to kill you.

  • @EarnanOMaille Just compare it to alcohol. If you get wasted under 21 you're somewhat of a felon. Now, if alcohol were illegal for EVERYONE, you can bet your ass underage drinking would go down since there is less is circulation. I'm not saying no-one would drink alcohol since that's preposterous, but making it harder for people to acquire alcohol legally in the first place is the right idea.

And guns in bars?! Come the fuck on, that's just asking for trouble.

  • @TheBaschtl "Now, if alcohol were illegal for EVERYONE, you can bet your ass underage drinking would go down since there is less is circulation."

Then perhaps you could explain why child drinking increased during prohibition?

  • @studentofsmith

Because the amount of alcohol in circulation didn't go down but you can't just outlaw alcohol because no1 is going to keep that law, it will all just go underground

  • @nielso212 Actually most estimates are that the amount of alcohol in circulation did go down, to about 30% of previous levels at first which slowly increased to about 60% of previous levels by the time it was repealed.

  • @nielso212 Prohibition Part 2

  • @WhiteCrazyPeople

Thank you for supporting my argument with prior results of Prohibition

  • 14%, 40%, 90% who cares! It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to stay out of debt.

  • @EarnanOMaille Remind me again who fights for his "right" to have a gun?

  • Or someone could shoot the bear that's attacking you in a park.

  • the difference is that NRA is organized, and the debtors are not

  • That's how they make sausage.....maybe you outta take a long piece of that sausage, cut it in half, stick one piece in your piehole, and the other up your ass. You preach against guns, but should the day come our government needs us to defend this country with our guns, and we don't have them, we'll all be fucked. With that sausage up your ass and in your mouth, you'll understand the feeling...you fucking liberal Obamanite....

  • Someone can shoot you in a park now you freakin IDIOT! With this bill there might be someone there to stop the nut job with the gun! I just don't understand why you libtards don't get it. The criminals don't care about your stupid laws. They will take guns wherever that want! Gun laws are only making it easier for nut jobs to get major body counts. Ughhh, I just don't understand how you can be so stupid. Making it legal to carry in a park means we can fight back. QWe at least have a chance.

  • @HaydnRocker: Don't lump all liberal in to the same pie. I am as liberal as they come and I don't have a problem with concealed weapons as long as all non felons can legally own them. If I was camping in a national park rest assure I would be packin rather it is was legal or not. Why would I want a low life scum bag to have the upper hand? Cenk comment was not cool. Both conservative and liberal don't see the full picture but on this issue this liberal agrees with you.

  • "understand that someone can shoot your ass in the park"

yes, because NOBODY would EVER attack someone on ground as sacred as our national parks, nope NEVER! Oh wait, there are people growing marijuana and guarding them with AK-47s in our national parks? Well knock me over with a feather!

  • All you need to do to realize that we concealed carry license holders are not some rampant threat to society is compare the record of driver's license holders to ours, per capita. We are far less likely to have our cc licenses revoked. It's that simple. It's a FACT. Not my opinion.

  • @Grantrus71

who cares about your license to be a punk?

shut up and go to hell

  • @yxcvxy Id love to see you un armed and confronted by home invaders.

  • @Denverlibertarion Just because he's unarmed, doesn't mean he can't do any damage.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Against several home invaders armed with illegal weapons?

  • @Denverlibertarion Improvisation is a very useful skill. You'd be surprised at what you can do with a rolling pin and a bit if ingenuity.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Against armed home invaders?

  • @Denverlibertarion Yes. Not everyone's a pussy who needs a gun to protect them when they go out to get the paper in the morning.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 But when 5 gang bangers break into your home after midnight armed with semi autos how is a rolling pin going to save you?

  • @Denverlibertarion When 5 "gang bangers" break into your house, you're not going to need to worry (or at least, I don't, since I live in Highlands Ranch, where there are only wiggers). If they actually ARE a threat, you hide in the shadows, where they wouldn't look, sneak up on one, and (assuming the rolling pin is heavy), hit him hard enough in the head to disorientate him. He drops the gun. Since the others probably heard you, you pick his gun up and shoot them. If they didn't, continue on.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 You are either a dreamer or a green beret (sadly the overwhelming majority of americans who are unarmed do not have your skills.) Andeven if you live in Highlands Ranch thos wiggers or whoever else wants to break in can also sneak up on you and cap you before you knew what hit you.

  • @Denverlibertarion Before I lived here, I lived in a poorer area of Sacramento where there was a higher burglary rate. My house was never broken into.

    -

By the way, if they sneak up on you and shoot you before you know what happened, what good is a gun going to do you?

  • @MaoiMeowi2 It at least helps to have a firearm. An ordinary joe would have a better chance of getting the drop than with a rolling pin that I know.

  • @Denverlibertarion How does it help to have anything if you don't know you're going to be attacked? You can have your own missile battery and squadron of attack helicopters, but what good are they going to do you if can't use them in time?

    -

It's not that hard of a concept to NOT try to make yourself a target. If you act like a burglary is a showdown, of course you're going to have a better chance with a gun. However, if they see you first, the gun is still useless.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 None the less a firearm increases your chances of fighting back. You can never be too careful when it comes to self defense.

  • @Denverlibertarion There is such a thing as being too careful. For example, imagine you're carrying...I don't know, one of those FMG9 things while you're out walking your dog at night. You see someone walking in your direction rather quickly and you think they're going to attack you (something similar happened with me, there just wasn't a gun, thankfully). You shoot them, but then it turns out they're innocent. Not only did you murder someone, but you have to live with that the rest of your life

  • @MaoiMeowi2 While were at it lets just get rid of knives auto mobiles planes and other things that kill people according to you. They cause fatalities like guns do.

  • @Denverlibertarion And while we're at it, why don't we get our voice boxes cut out as well? Fingers cut off? Because they can "cause fatalities like guns do" as well. You take things WAY too far.

  • maoi, just stop. Smart people don't argue about this; in the vast majority of cases, especially with someone who does not have the skill or physical ability to combat an assailant with mixed-martial arts, a pistol/shotgun/carbine will give you a significant edge over any violent attacker.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 If you had taken a descent gun safety class, and passed the propper channels to get a concealed carry license you would have left the damn thing concealed. There are accidents but there's stupidity too.

  • @runaway2me80 I'd say the majority of people who support the second amendment are so stupid they don't know which way the pockets on the seat of their pants face. A small part of the remaining percentage are batfuck insane and think everyone's out to get them. That leaves less than 50%, I'd say, of people who are smart (although this applies to the conservative ideology in general, if not every point on the political spectrum), and the really smart ones would move away if they need to pack heat.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Look, I really do understand that concern, but gun restrictive laws only keep law abiding citizens from protecting themselves. Criminals will carry weapons regardless. When my concealed carry paperwork is processed I will too. There are only two worlds that have true peace. A world with no guns and a world where everyone has them. The first will never happen. And the second is the world we should live in.

  • @runaway2me80 You want a peaceful world? Move to the suburbs. The only thing you have to worry about is your wife and your neighbor's wife fighting over who's house is the best on the block, or something. A gun isn't going to save you if you live in a neighborhood as dangerous as you think it is, hard is it may be to understand the concept of not being noticed. Even if you did get advanced warning, unless you've killed someone before, you'd probably stall and get hurt/killed before you shot.

  • @MaoiMeowi2

    the couch commando speaks

  • @migkillertwo Your assumptions are cute. It doesn't take a commando to move silently and it doesn't take a commando to kill someone with a chef's knife.

    -

So don't bother the people with the Mary Jane and you'll be fine. Need I tell you everything, or are you some Illuminatus who wants to control everything?

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Smart people would notice that my previous comment was posted a week ago, and wouldn't resurrect the problem. So I guess we're both dumb fucks, no?

  • @MaoiMeowi2 By the way, if someone's too weak to kill someone with a chef's knife, what makes you think they'll be strong enough to pick up, let alone shoot accurately, a shotgun or carbine? What makes you think they'll be able to hold a pistol steady long enough to get off a shot? If you can shoot accurately (bullets, that is), you're more than capable of killing with kitchen knives. Plus, with a shotgun, you'd have a huge stain in your carpet.

  • @MaoiMeowi2 Have you ever even shot an AR-15? The recoil is practically nothing.

"hold it steady enough to get a shot"

How's the trigger on those airsoft guns?

  • @migkillertwo What airsoft guns? Look, my point is that if a person really is as weak as you say they are (not being "physically able" to stab someone, when this KA-BAR I have weighs 1.1 lbs, and is the heaviest knife in my house), they WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PICK UP the AR15, that weighs 5.5 lbs, at minimum.

    -

    Enlighten me.

  • @MaoiMeowi2

it takes a lot more strength than teh strength required to just stab a doll made of ballistic gellatin to kill someone in a knife fight.

  • @migkillertwo Rather violent, aren't you? Why would you get in a fight?

  • Maybe I was a little bit blunt with what I just said. Maybe concealed weapons are bad. As a matter of fact, we all better turn in our guns so more terrorists can come into our parks, kill our kids, and raise Hell on us. Like this Turk wants, after all look at him, he's a terrorist himself!

  • @82bbch

People like you scare me tbh. Is it possible to be any more dumb? Do you seriously think that terrorists are going to charge into your parks and kill all the kids? Do you seriously think this guy is a TERRORIST? Geez.

  • @GFLHamster Radical muslim fascists have attacked any venue you can imagine. It can't happen here? Maybe it won't. Maybe it will.

  • @82bbch lol stupid fuck

  • Does this guy understand shortage-crime? I'll explain: when you don't let people smoke pot they end up breaking the law to get it. If u take away people's guns what's gonna happen? Well chances are they will steal the guns shoot the store-owner and then go kill people as he runs away from the cops.

  • Hell yes it does!

If people were even close to ready for that kind of responsibility yet then why do we still have any form of government at all? After all everyone's gonna be responsible, ensure they're skilled in their chosen paths and maintain proper care and attention.

Don't kid yourselves, we as a species are almost entirely ignorant and irresponsible. How else do we even take The Best of Religion (flawed that it is), ignore it, fail to think at all and use it to excuse ignorance.

  • Well, I suppose it's time to read up on the crimes committed by the average, legal gun owner. Then move to PERMIT CARRIERS which are responsible for less than 1% of ALL violent crime. Are permit carriers just shooting people over parking places? Are we shooting people for breaking in line? NO. Stop being so dramatic.

Your first sentence really makes no sense to me. Please clarify. More benefits come from gun ownership than not. TYT guy is a moron that lies about guns.

  • I was hoping you'd clarify your post.

  • hum wonder if he knows both parties do this all the time.

  • He likes sausage in his bum. That's right, You know what you are, a pussy. I'll keep my guns Pussy!

  • i think he just likes sausage...

  • I honestly think the just pass random stuff to make it look like their doing stuff (i.e. the ditch light reg in the early 90s)

And He's got a point if a company can't recover from 14% interest, how do we recover from over double that?

  • Hey dumb turk...what's stopping people from shooting you in the State Parks now? A gun ban? Have you seen how the crime rate has climbed in our Parks WITH the gun ban? Murder, Rape and Robberies? You've got to be one of the most ignorant bastards on the Planet. Only people with a Right to Carry permit will be allowed to carry. You know...that segment of Society that is 4 to 5 times less likely to commit a crime! That segment that is responsible for less than 1% of all crime.

    Shut up dumbass.

  • And the ones who are presumably able to commit crimes now...will just stop?

  • Nope. The point is previously unarmed victims now have options...... depending on the situation. Does that bother you?

  • Go NRA... wait wtf did they request? Helllllll nooo!

  • what Im about to say is fact, and you cannot argue fact so why dont u liberals just shut up and listen for one minute. When the U.K. government banned guns the crime rate went up, since then it has stayed high. let me throw out a situation, 2 criminals, 1 lives here, and one in the uk, the one here worried and doesnt know if he should rob this one house, maybe someone inside has a gun and will kill me, you know what i better just not. UK guy im gonna rob this house and nothing is gonna stop me.

  • "gun deaths" in terms of statistics lumps good guys shooting bad guys, bad guys shooting good guys, suicides, and accidents in the same heading.

percentage of bad guys shooting good guys is a better litmus test. why is that? pop of US is 300 mil. pop of UK is 60 mil.

about half of us gun deaths are suicides.

Switzerland has lowest crime rate highest gun per capita.

DC has highest crime rate in US and strictest gun laws.

  • "cuz the banks own the place"! so true

  • funny how a gun control advocate is a "coward", when it's gun nuts who need to be armed going the movie mart.

i guess "law abiding" george sodini needed to protect himself when he gunned down innocent women exercising. oc, you would insanely think, "if only they had holstered guns while doing aerobics". then they could have shot each other when the gun nut turned the lights out.

"coward"? uh huh, more like the law abiding gun nut coward who killed women cuz he couldn't get a date!

  • The republicans are the ones blocking every single reform effort by the Obama administration. The republicans' arguments range from incomplete to completely absurd

  • in fact, didn't some teenager just fatally shoot a hiker in the woods? washington state maybe? claimed he thought the hiker was a "bear".

the little murderer got 30 days with probation and teaching shooting safety lessons. seriously. that was the judges decision.

there was this other time two teenagers were shooting at a metal shed in the mo. woods, turned out to hold dynamite for a rock quarry, they found bit's and pieces. at least that time gunmen died.

  • So now you are going to make crap up to support your assertions?

Oh wait. You were doing that all along.

  • TYT, a consistent 5 star, star.

seriously bldgy, you're grandstanding again. announcing to the world... idk something about sausages... yet, i'm the only one listening... so sad.

  • Democrats have a long history of trying to slip random, off-topic things into bills. Republicans are not doing anything that the dems aren't doing. Funny how it's suddenly ugly when the other side does it, though.

And, as usual, TYT tacks on lies: "understand that someone can shoot your ass in a park"...

No. It's still illegal to shoot people unless it's in self defense. Anyone willing to do so would not obey a gun ban anyway. So, essentially, you are no less safe than you were already.

  • "Funny how it's suddenly ugly when the other side does it, though."

Liberals don't advance past the 3 year old level of moral reasoning. I can hit you, but you better not hit me because it is bad. I can take your ball, but you better not try to take it back. This is what liberals are and we have to simply find a way to deal with them, that is own a lot of guns and when the liberals (criminals) come to rob you, shoot them.

  • I've noticed that they cannot take their own medicine.

  • Ironic that they happen most often in "gun-free" zones then, isn't it?

  • Since, by the very nature of them being criminal meaning they would do it anyways. And no, that's not what this is saying. Please understand what you are talking about before causing other people who are equally as ignorant of the facts to continue to be even more vigilant in their stupidity.

  • hey fellow gun owners we will never convince people like this that god gave us the right to keep and bear arms and no matter how manny times we say it they gun grabbers will never understand that the bad guys just don care about the law and the republicans may vote with the NRA but think of this those woh dont are breaking their promise to protect and defend the constitution THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE just shows no common sense these days and the name calling unbelievable

  • Comment removed

  • Please, no name calling. Let us use this opportunity to debate facts, not act like grammar school students. These are serious issues about which we debate.

  • is there an epidemic of gun deaths in national parks? of course not, but hey let's fucking start one. courtesy of your hillbilly congress, the nra, and 20% interest rates.

we asked for some reasonable legislation on credit gouging and we get more guns on the streets?... huh?! wow, what are these idiots doing? are we that stupid? this could be the stupidest bill ever passed.

  • You apparently lack a basic comprehension of what it takes to get a concealed carry permit and the murder rate among those who hold them. I believe from 2007-2009, there were a whopping 51 murders total out of all the concealed carry permit holders in the U.S. out of......over 5 million. Are you people really this stupid? I mean honestly, you don't honestly believe allowing people who only commit a murder at .00425 % out of all their holders to carry a firearm is going to cause more murders.

  • look tom, americans now are more paranoid about their gov than ever, gun sales are through the roof. In fact I just bought some, so I think it's a good idea to let law abiding citizens take guns into the parks because the criminals will not ask permission and will just do it anyway. In fact the NRA is a good group, they teach gun safety and they just don't like when retards like you try to push gun control. jubeigh13 owns you in this debate.

  • This guy is a fuktard.

  • i wuz kinda thinking the same thing about you.

  • tomitstube. Oh yeah? Why is that?

  • nothing jerk off

  • Thats why lonesharks are no longer around, now it's legal to do it.

  • Interest rates are insane... I used to think the guns in national parks was retarded but I debated this with someone else and he explained his points very clearly. Why would it be okay to have guns at home in your house but not in a national park? It doesn't mean more people will have guns, it means those who do have guns have more freedom to protect themselves etc.

  • because it's your home, if you want to run the higher risk of being shot in your own home, be my fucking guest, the less of these idiots, the better.

as for these same small dick cowards carrying weapons everywhere now infringes on my safety. you get the difference dumbass?

  • No, because "these same small dick cowards carrying weapons" are also standing next to you in lines at the store, driving behind you in cars, standing next to you in public... etc. so what is the difference when nurses or doctors would also want to carry a weapon?

  • because i don't feel safe with every fucking mental case in america carrying a fucking gun. are you insane or just stupid?

  • Tomi, I think maybe you should attend a CHL class and possibly even apply for yours, go through the application process, the background investigation and actually meet some of the people you are referring to as "mental cases". Even if you never plan on getting a gun, at least you wont sound so ignorant.

  • van- or i could travel a couple miles from d.c. to a gun show in va., write a phoney name on an index card and go back home with a trunk full of guns. yee haw!!!!

if fact, this concealed weapon decision to uphold states rights needed to be implimented years ago.

next up. lets give the supreme court back to the people. funny how these right wing so-called "strict constructionists", have a problem with states rights.

  • again another liberal (tomitstube) with a moral reasoning level of a 3 year old child says that we must give the states rights over gun control, but the same libtard will require that states do not have rights when it comes to abortions and killing the not yet born, the feds decided it's legal so no states rights, right? The states do not have rights above the constitution, period. They cannot decide to revoke anything in the constitution, that is a contract for being part of the USA.

  • recently "law abiding" gun nuts went into a park and shot and killed a jogger through the head. thought she was big foot or something. the punishment? probation and shooting safety lessons.

you must really love your guns. so you went out and bought a bunch of guns because other americans are paranoid?

    are you paranoid too?

  • Got a source for this info, or are you just making it up as you go?

  • Ask them in which founding document does it:

    1. List the "rights" of any government.

    or

    2. Says that any government has any "rights" at all.

No government in the US has rights.

In regards to the rest of your post, State law cannot contradict the Constitution:

US Constitution, Article VI, para. 2

    States cannot deny rights:

US Constitution, Article IV, Section 2, para. 1

Also: 2nd AoA, 10th AoA, and 14th AoA.

  • Not 2nd AoA above, I initially had typed "States cannot deny right to bear arms." And forgot to take 2nd AoA out when I changed it to rights in general.

Anyway, you can try pointing this stuff out to them. Good luck. Most of them don't have a clue what the Constitution says, or really what it is for that matter. When you finally get it through their heads they'll just cover their ears and shriek that the Const. is archaic and outdated.

Much better, apparently, to have a limitless government.

  • you again? still clinging to your god and your guns i see. you getting prepared for the revolution? stock piling weapons because you lost an election?

it happened in washington state i believe, type in some related words, you know how to do that don't you?

i'm beginning to understand all you righties paranoia, you believe your archaic ideology and world is pretty much doomed. you realize without even realizing it, that your fucked up ideology isn't sustainable.

  • I didn't lose an election because I was not running for office. What are you babbling about?

And thanks for admitting that you have no source and are just making crap up. I did do a search, and I came up with a jogger who was killed by an unknown assailant. So your "law abiding" crap was just that. Crap.

Now, did you have anything of substance to add to the conversation, or were you just planning to continue making unfounded and moronic assertions?

  • oh ok, you "didn't" lose an election, welcome to the team.

it was recent. two brothers i think, the northwest, wash. or oregon maybe. they were shooting at bigfoot but shot a woman jogger through the head. knocked her down a hill, killed instantly, her friend who heard the idiots approach hid on the same hill and called the cops.

it went to trial and the gun nuts got probation and have to teach gun safety.

yehaw. bring your guns to the parks!! yeahaw i think i saw bigfoot.

  • And yet you still cannot offer one source or any verifiable facts on the matter. I guess we can just chalk this up as another gun-control advocate lie...

  • HAHA! I just noticed that tommy boy here tried to use that same story two months ago. Two months ago I stated it was a load of crap, and yet he still (in two months) cannot produce a single source or any verifiable facts!

That doesn't seem to stop him from using it, though.

  • It's good then considering that out of the 60 million legal gun owners in the United States that we only have about 12,000 homicides per year, most done by people who have a firearm illegally. Hey but guess what, I don't feel safe with every fucking mental case in America telling me I can't defend myself in public. Oh and one more thing, you don't have a right to feel safe by denying people the right to defend themselves. Guess you're just shit out of luck, have fun being a coward.

  • You driving increases the chances of somebody being hit by you, so tell me, why are you a lazy, small dick coward? You drive down the road and infringe on my safety, do you understand, you stupid bastard? Oh and apparently you don't know what facts and statistics are. I suggest you lean before the real world bitch slaps you across the face.

  • It doesn't take permission to carry for a non law abiding citizen to shoot someone. Nor should you need permission to defend yourself from them. The same stands in cities, parks the whole united states.

  • yeah this guy doesn't have any understanding of how life works. you really think thhat criminals were waiting for this bill to get passed to shoot people. no, it only means that you can now protect yourself legally. like there was never a park shooting until they passed the bill. what are you, some kind of moron?

  • You dumb freedom hating gun grabbing baby killing hypocrite, if someone wanted to soot your ass in a national park they would do it without this amendment you dumb faggot.

yeah and also over 70 percent of the american people support the second amendment i dont think that 70 percent of the american people are republican i know im not im a democrat and i am pro freedom and pro second amendment.

  • With the number of gangs that are using national parks to grow pot and hide their meth labs, and are willing to kill to hide them, yes. I'd say this is a good idea. At least that woman that was murdered by a gang in Yellowstone would have had a fighting chance.

  • People were already getting shot in parks by criminals before the ban, you idiot. The difference is now law-abiding citizens can protect themselves.

This Turk asshole acts like he's never heard of a rider when it's the liberal MO. Does anyone take this fool seriously?

  • Glad to see my NRA dues are going for a good cause.

  • I wonder if they are going to keep track of how many accidental shootings will now occur in National Parks.

  • Just remember this one golden government rule for every law passed a loop hole exists for special interests to get around it.

Example check all passengers getting on airlines ,but the non passenger cargo does not get inspected. Start inspecting cargo to much at ports. Create one of the new Foreign Trade Zones popping up all over the country they are exempt from incoming customs inspections. What the Goddam good is Home Land Security in this everything is for sale corporate controlled country.

  • Law-abiding citizens are prohibited from taking guns and explosives for their own defense into the U.S. Capitol Building. And the hypocrites at the N.R.A. have nothing to say against it.

  • If you can't understand why then you sir are an idiot. Scratch that, you are an idiot. You OBVIOUSLY DON'T UNDERSTAND.

  • What an intelligent response! I'll reconsider my position, moron.

  • Right..., I guess it's okay for you to give ordinary citizens the ability to assassinate politicians and commit terrorist attacks on the Unites States Congress. IDIOT.
