@keithy501 Can I ask you a very important question? Can you send those drum beats to a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Pro Tools or FL Studio or is that separate from the midi feature? Or can those drums be recorded and sent to a DAW?
@audioproducer88 The drums were part of a custom style. I don't have the E403 any more, however you can transit the accomp section (the style) I think from midi channels 9 to 16. The keyboard needs to be set up from the function menu so that style out option is set to on if you just want the accomp part. You'll need to have the E403 as the midi device via the USB cable in the software and whichever software you use, record the midi data from channels 9 to 16 as the keyboard is playing
@audioproducer88 One more thing, the drums should be coming from midi channels 9 and 10 so you can record just those 2 channels instead of the whole accomp. Also should work if producing own drum track if E403 is set to a drum voice and midi data recorded on channels 9 and 10 with your software
@Valiton93 Hi, connect a stereo cable from headphone socket on keyboard to line in socket on PC. Download a program called Audacity (free) - google / bing search it and it will record as a wav / mp3 file what you play on the keyboard. It's much more difficult to transfer a user recorded song over from keyboard's flash memory onto PC and you'll need 3rd party software to capture the recorded song as midi data. Easiest way is just to play back the user song on keyboard and let Audacity record it
@Valiton93 If you use the mic socket then only 1 (left or right) channel will be recorded (mono). Line in sockets are usually coloured light blue (also have a circle symbol with arrow pointing inwards etched nearby). You're more likely to have line in on the PC. Some have configurable inputs when a cable is connected so you can choose between mic, headphone, line in etc
I googled: best keyboard piano under $500 and I got found this model. After I youtubed i found your videos. Now you make me want to get one! Hahhaa you're amazing (good manipulator eh?). I'm totally clueless at music; I don't even know how to read music sheets or know any keys on the piano. I think I'm about to buy this on ebay and learn myself. I was wondering if the stand came with it or do is that your own? Great stuff man
@VinnyAtEpiC Thanks. I don't have this model anymore as upgraded to a PSR-S900. The E403/413/423 is a nice starter keyboard, however I would go for a NP-V80 as it has better support for saving your own midi files as I think it has a ISB to device connection. You may not want it yet, but you will when your playing ability improves. If your budget can stretch then get a used PSR-710 or PSR-S900. They are much more flexible to use and have better instrument sounds. Stand purchased as an extra
@MrPehhong It is a custom style, not one built into the keyboard style list. Send me a personal message containing your email address if you would like to receive it
@Arty408 Hmmmm, Left hand fail = it's the auto accomp version where the chords change roughly every 1-2 measures and there's only 4 chords in this version. It's not the piano version which I agree is more difficult to play. Get skill - Think I have improved if you look back at when the first videos were uploaded in 2008. Yes, still room for improvement
@Arty408 The version I have came from a midi file off the net, however I printed it out and the midi file was not used it the recording. The midi version has D major playing during the right hand intro. I'm using a custom style not one built into the E403. The way I record is use webcam for video and record wav file for the audio (as webcam audio is poor). I have to synch the audio to the video in Moviemaker and sometimes it is a fraction out. If I've used midi then I'll state it in the notes
@RobyneGillespie Or you could have looked (expanded) in the information by the viewing number and there is a link there to download the MP3 from Boxnet
You can't please all the people all of the time. I have been learning to play for just under 2 years, never played a musical instrument before and never really done any music theory or read sheet music. The original tempo is 112 and I played it at 108. The MP3 versions of the songs on here are better as there is no pressure of being filmed. I know it is isn't perfect I'm not Rick Wakeman
You're playing is wonderful, but you may want to consider finding a piano bench or at least another chair with no armrests. They'll cramp up your elbows and your overall posture. Not that it seems to be affecting your playing at all though, good job! Like you, I'm also studying from Alfred's for class in school. Best of luck
Thanks. I'm planning to purchase another Yamaha but with 88 keys and will need an adjustable bench as the instrument will be on a desk which is higher than the stand
hört sich gut an aber ich spiele eine ander version
