Ah, there are a few like that. I would be shocked to see anything on as pathetic a scale as on the video here, but for the majority of us anyway, it's just a hobby! It's no different to why people put those noisy modifications on their cars, or why people spend thousands on little square paper stamps. It's one of those quirky hobbies that makes us who we are, not some denial of humanity.
Costumes aren't us being unhappy with who we are, it's merely done for fun!

there are SO MANY things anybody can do for fun. if a grown human thinks pretending they are a bunny or a dolphin is 'fun' i find that extraordinarily difficult to believe. Get out more man, there is a world that wants to see you for who you are, not how silly you can be when you look like a dolphin.

Heh heh, I play at least three different varieties of sports on a regular basis, I run many national events (of which only one is furry related), I'm taking two degrees at University, and I hang out with groups of people from all sorts of different backgrounds. When 'furry' becomes your sole existence, I agree, but remember, it is only *a* hobby, not *the* hobby.
Besides, why do grown humans believe it is fun to punt a ball down a field? Or collect stamps? Fun is what you make of it. ;)

Furries have to be some of the most unique people around, and besides what's so weird about dressing up in an animal costume for your 'kicks' when compared to all the countless other (and sometimes disurbing in the fact they harm one individual) fetishes out there :P
