You say Taylor Swift, i say Toots and the Maytals
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if UR one of the 5%? left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to? least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF REGGAE DIE,LET IT FLY
Can someone explain that last pic starting from 3:02 to the end... His head looks twice as big as the other guy's! Was he just a huge guy? Or is it the camera? Or is that a kid? I just don't get it
Peter Tosh! Oh my God! Dey killed u on the 11th of September and now the world dreads that day like hell. They didn't listen, when u told em' u were a prophet and now they are dying like rats. Who dem magga dog now? the shitstem u spoke about in your lyrics is starring us in our faces (financial crisis and never ending wars). Dey compared u to Marley..........but alas dey will swallow their words one day. no-one shall be like u for ever and ever AMEN. ZIMBABWE LOVES U MASSIVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!
so when he says Babylon ... that means my country right? damn I wish my grudge could hear this song when he sentenced me to jail for "having ganja in my possession"
I love the music and some of the ideals but there is no way in hell i am going to worship Haile Selassie as God. That's just dumb and Haile Selassie never said he was the 2nd coming of Christ. When he visited Jamaica he thought the idea of people worshiping him was disturbing.
I wonder how many people know that is who Ras Tafari is. It's not just some club where you get high and get laid there are particular beliefs that few would honestly want to be a part of.
Haile Selassie is a direct descendant of King Solomon, thus the connection for Rastas that he is God or God like. Rastas never took him as God literally but the one person in the world at the time who stood up for blacks. I'm with you Shire, but some people need to check their facts before they post shit on here.
@fenderlover Not really it is a choice. You must remeber Rasta are basically christians who believe that Haile Selassie is the incarnate of Jesus Christ Himself.
@fenderlover You do not HAVE to be a vegetarian. It should be noted that many sources said His Majesty ate meat!
However, I do not eat meat. I am a vegetarian. But that's to do with MY meditation. What another man chooses to do is none of my business, as longs as he's spreading the love and message.
@xxxDREADEDxxx no seas hipoctra rastafari es una religion q provem de africa y fue levada a jamaica atraves de los antiguos esclavos q migragam a jamaica
@HippieHaare CHristianity and Rastafari are very similar .........both of the two focus on the universal truth inside every person that universal truth is the omnipotent truth. even buddhism has aolt of great and similar teachings. Jesus, Buddha, Tosh, Marley ,and many many other people in and out of the public eye have understood this universal truth......
@HippieHaare Rasta is not a religion its a livity a way of life!!!!! there's no designated places of worship! worship is spontaneous!!!!! Rasta is about righteousness nothing more nothing less!! people go into it for all the wrong reasons Rasta advocates for righteousness its not easy as it looks!! it advocates for rural lving, family oriented activities, vegetarian diets!!!!!!! its tough but i'm getting there!! i buy from some of its precepts
@HippieHaare Rastafarian and Rastafrainisum are labeled as religions....but RASTAFARI is nothing but a way of life "LIVITY"...no practices...
do you love your fellow human?....do you disregard color of skin or social status... do you love you mama earth...then your rasta and may no know it ;)

Big up all the elders that fought the battle that we the children could freely express ourselves. The movement of Rastafari has been through so much jailed for having a plant, beaten for growing hair and speaking about everyday injustices some of us them were even killed.

It's sad that this guy is still becoming so popular decades after his death. He never lived to enjoy his life, thanks to crooks.
