I love the music and some of the ideals but there is no way in hell i am going to worship Haile Selassie as God. That's just dumb and Haile Selassie never said he was the 2nd coming of Christ. When he visited Jamaica he thought the idea of people worshiping him was disturbing.

Haile Selassie is a direct descendant of King Solomon, thus the connection for Rastas that he is God or God like. Rastas never took him as God literally but the one person in the world at the time who stood up for blacks.
