  • As all wheel competitions Subaru is best, when you don't need all wheel gizmos in highway these extra weights are burden. Depends where you live.

  • Well this video is bullshit.. this is just a test of the tires that come pre-installed on the car. You can make any system better by pairing it with better tires.

  • @londonas2 An awesome set of tires only costs $450US, they should outfit all the cars with the same brand/type of tire to see which AWD system is genuinely better. Like I said before, this isn't a test of the car but a test of the tires.

  • Another video of well cooked results just as subaru sales want to be.How you can test a AWD car with tires 215mm and a AWD car with tires 255mm?Even my child know that small tire have the advance in this kind of traction.

  • @MICHAELA7581 o autorovi je známe, že čo sa týka áut 4x4 tak je prívržencom značky SUBARU a ináč, podľa mňa niekedy až nemiestne nadŕža BMW. ale test ako celok hodnotím na slovenské podmienky ako celkom dobrý.

  • I'll always stay loyal to my Audi Quattro vehicles. They are great in all seasons and just a joy to drive. Have a b7 a4 right now and I still adore the car as if it were the very first day i got it!

  • tak akoze toto je test, ktory som moc nepochopil, neviem kto si co si, ak moderator tak pätotriedny, tie testy su uplne primitivne, metodika a vyhodnocovanie vysledkov skor pocitove. ja sa len cudujem ze kto ti pozical tie auta, lebo tvoj test o kvalitach a prednostiach a hraniciach toho ktoreho pohonu ktory tam akoze testujes vobec nevypoveda. velmi slabe, primitivne. btw - neviem to auto plynom kerovat. z kade si? prehral si na prevodovke? akoze odpadavam z tych tvojich kydov. kokot odpadnem

    testy robí rasťo chvála - popredný a uznávaný slovenský motoristický žurnalista. jeho testy môžeš vidieť na sme.sk v sekcii auto. robí tiež tzv. live testy - za účasti publika. kľudne sa ich môžeš zúčastniť a svoje otázky adresovať priamo jemu (kto mu požičal autá, odkiaľ je a tiež, že odpadávaš a že mu niekedy nerozumieš)(sekcia auto, auto.sme.LIVE )

    test má aj druhú časť s výsledkom testu ak by ťa to zaujímalo...

  • The problem with AWD system with subaru is that all of their automatic transmission configurations are 55/45 biased but if you get it with manual transmission, its a permanent locked differential at 50/50. That is why he loses the rear end quick in the snow. Audi will always have best 4x4 configuration

    Majority of Subarus sold come with manual transmissions, so a 50/50 power split, along with a rear limited slip differential on higher end models. Also for Automatics, its a 45/55 front to rear split on VTD models and all of the 5 speed Automatics. Regular base cars with 4 speed automatics have a 60/40 bias and rear LSD. Older ones used to be 80/20 bias, and some had a rear LSD.

    Not true. All Subaru AWD systems are capable of a 98/2 split or 2/98 split. Most Audi's can't transfer more than 20% of the power to the front so they stay mainly RWD and thus handle better around a tarmac track. The Subaru with a manual is a rally car and sliding out the end is what it is supposed to do.

  • @Loscaldazar not with 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive is suppsed to make to the car better stick to the road and it gives better road control (exactly what audi does) and subaru is like a rear wheel drive just with a bit of power in the front thats why its drifts (and thats not what a AWD car supposed to do)

  • @londonas2 The highest split Subaru has for power (standing power, as with any fulltime AWD it constantly varies power) is 41/59 F/R (STI). Most manuals run a 50/50, automatics 60/40 and the LGT runs 45/55. Audi has a 40/60 for true Quattro products (haldex are about 20/80). Audi is more RWD, and Subaru's AWD is built from the ground up, where Audi's started out as RWD, with FWD added. Subaru AWD works in the fact that driving normally it adheres perfectly to the road, drive it hard and it

There is a reason Audi Quattro is not used very widely in rally, in Rally America there is currently 1 Audi competing versus 10 mitsu and 30 Subaru's. in fact the only time Audi's quattro ever succeeded in rally was when they were the only one using it the WRC. Subaru has more experience building AWD than Audi by 8 years (40 versus 32), and it shows. And while Audi vs most Subaru AWD can be debated, the WRX STi absolutely blows Audi out of the water.

  • @beasona9 Look at The trunk badge on the Subaru (at 2:00), it's not a GT. It appears to be a diesel model not offered in the U.S.A. Also at note that it only has a single exhaust (2:02). Here are the specs.= 2.0L DOHC engine, called the EE20, has 147HP and 258 lb-ft of torque, and was released in Europe in 2008.
