Call of Duty 4 is a better choice than MW2. Call of Duty 4's single-player was awesome and multiplayer was okish. The thing i hate in modern warfare series is that in the multi everybody goes solo and then team blames you that you don't do teamwork. COD 5 was way better besides op mp40 and fg42 and flamethrower. idk why cod fans hate WaW it's the best game in the series. I prefer it over black ops/mw3/mw2

@GeneralMilan Yeah.... call of duty became really popular when COD 4 came out. But that was the game that started the perks, ranking system, kill streaks, and attachments for guns which is really what changed it for the worse. Just because that's when COD became popular doesn't mean it was the best.

I remember playing it Christmas morning at my grandma's with my older brother watching. Which has meaning to me since I always sat and watched him play zelda and mario games (I never got to play)
The memories I have of my sitting in a sloped-back chair listening to happy hardcore playing Team Deathmatch... kind of brings a tear to my eye, those were the days of when only real players could afford a PS3 to play, no campers, no kids, hell it didn't even have as much lag as the modern games... and that was when I had like 1mbps connection speed compared to my 40mbps today! and MW3 still lags!

i loved how the story focussed on the actual battle of normandy rather than D-Day itself. People tend to forget how hard fought the Normandy campaign actually was after D-Day. This and company of heroes did a great job of telling the story.

The best version of this game is the PS3 version. It has the best graphics, best effects and above all best looking game ever made in a war series. It's a blue ray disc and it has loads of graphic content for the Playstation 3. All the other versions are a waste.

@MarcsLab Aye, don't get me wrong, the PS3 is a great system, I had (has) a lot of potential, but for all it's improved hardware it just doesn't make sense about the lack or split-screen in Call of Duty 3. And saying that it was best on the PS3 is just an outright lie considering it had less features than the 360 version. Of course I cannot say the same for the PS2 as I never played CoD 3 on it, but I do agree with the others in saying the PS2 was the best system (in my opinion).

@NativeEagle7 Unless you are thinking of the Messerschmitt Me 262 or Gloster Meteor, which were the first two jet planes to see combat in World War Two. The 262 was a Nazi jet plagued with problems and most were destroyed during allied bombing raids towards the end of the war. And the Meteor was a British aircraft but was seldom seen in action towards the end of the war when it was built. And this game takes place a few years before these two jets were built. A.K.A those weren't jets.

@atariman72 i agree i was scared on the last mission when this came on i was not afraid any more then the jets came in and blew em up i was amazed and happy

@NativeEagle7 They were actually not jets this is World War two in case you didn't know those aircraft were Republic P-47 Thunderbolt's a common aircraft used in the European Theatre during World War Two.

@NativeEagle7 Unless you are thinking of the Messerschmitt Me 262 or Gloster Meteor, which were the first two jet planes to see combat in World War Two. The 262 was a Nazi jet plagued with problems and most were destroyed during allied bombing raids towards the end of the war. And the Meteor was a British aircraft but was seldom seen in action towards the end of the war when it was built. And this game takes place a few years before these two jets were built. A.K.A those weren't jets.
