Phil, why would anyone buy the game just for the firefight mode. You'd have to be a complete noob/casual gamer to immediately dive into the multiplayer..
I don't know if i'm alone here, but next to the Original Halo for the original Xbox, Halo 3: ODST had my favourite campaign of the series, it's just a shame it's ending is awful
i liked the game. Overall I give the game a 7.5 and the only reason I'm coming on here and commenting to this is because my friend keeps being a dick about it saying it sucked and I'm saying it was okay. Yes it should have been DLC. Yes the campaign should have been longer but overall I liked the game and I just went back and played it a few weeks ago and beat it solo on legendary which took me about a week to do during my free time. I liked the characters well the ones who did talk.
I have a few problems about this review even though I know it is a bit old I'm still going to comment. DSP my friends like you and think you're funny but I don't find you amazingly funny. You don't really look at this game as a game with story and everything else and just look at it as gameplay. It was one of the worst Halo games but you don't exactly know Halo. And the pistol in this game isn't new it was brought back from Halo: combat evolved

halo ODST isn't bad because it celebrated halo reach so it would gived you a taster of what the game is like. But i can see why non- fans dislike expansions of any game, like call of duty expansions or maybe another one, but you see expansions are polished and adapted since the full retail but the problem is... expansions are not worth 45 pound. New releases for expansions should be at least 25 pound for a good one.

the reason that the music is sad is becuase it only plays at night during the city levels and if you paid attention to halo's storyline the music has a reason to be sad

Hey the soundtrack in ODST was OK but not as kick ass as the first halo, man thats the best of the best, thumbs up if you agree, ALOS i would like to ad, there was a side story to follow that was fun, and the fact if you follow it you get weapon/vehicle cache. ODST was a let down a little, but it was awesome when i played the Mythic disc that came with it, 3 new maps, a map pack add-on to the mythic pack? thats new, im saying that it was good, it had ups and downs, and i kinda agree with DSP.

The game is good for what its worth. If you believed and bought into the hype build-up, then you were left down. As a new campaign and game mode bonus, than it is perfect. As a full fledged game for those already owning multiple games in ther series, it was bad.

Hey i agreed with the video 98% the campaign wasn't good firefight was fun but still lacking cause of people not willing to play it on my friends list. it would have been good as a dlc but full game not even cutting it. hopefully reach will be a genially good halo game which i haven't seen since halo 2.

I liked ODST. The campaign is fun, but only if you have 3 GOOD friends that you enjoy talking to (it passed the time of walking). The Firefight mode is fun and getting Recon is usually the reason people bought this

i played halo 3 alot but im not a fanboy, i also found this game incredibly boring and redonkulus with the fact of campaign being repeditive and the firefight requiring you NEED to know people who either have this game or who will come and play with you. the least they couldve done was put a matchmaking search for other firefight people or some type of free for all.

well phil it turns out that bungie and microsoft new that a review like this is coming. i guess thats why they will only let you play fiefight on the maps only if you beat the game. i guess they want you to play the story mode rather you like if or not. also they robbed you of 40$? hmm whats even worse is that they got away with it. phil the reviews are JUST A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. i can tell you right here right now. all those reviews except for xbox magizene are completely honest

its foolish of your phil to expect games to be more longer than a day. if i were you. i wouldove seen this coming. no the storyline isnt that good. when excatly did he play a saxaphone? they wanted it to make it a sandbox game. thats why they make you walk through a city. 4:00 AHA. fire fight. basically phil if this game was a dlc they would have ti get rid of firefight mode. if they got rid of that you would really of wasted your money. so basically DLC or not you say this game sucks.

actually my favorite moments in the entire game were the city streets
exploring in the night time with the bladerunner like music and atmosphere really impressed me
but like my other comment in part 1, this game isnt worth 60 dollars in any way, shape, or form

oh i just beaten odst a few months ago on easy but i didnt unlock the other fucking maps but at least you have the beta DSP will you show gameplay of the beta because im going crazy over reach because this is where it all started beyatch

like in halo 3 some misions you have to use ur imagination like the other day i started the mision "cortina" and i played the matlaica song enter sandman and it FIT SO WELL youv got to try it with odst or some other soudtrack other than a zaxapkhone or whatever its pronunced

The game is good for what its worth. If you believed and bought into the hype build-up, then you were left down. As a new campaign and game mode bonus, than it is perfect. As a full fledged game for those already owning multiple games in ther series, it was bad.

Hey i agreed with the video 98% the campaign wasn't good firefight was fun but still lacking cause of people not willing to play it on my friends list. it would have been good as a dlc but full game not even cutting it. hopefully reach will be a genially good halo game which i haven't seen since halo 2.
But the one thing i disagree with is you don't dis the sax man that's fucked up.

Uncharted 2 even has a mode similar to firefight called survival inckuding matchmaking and a awesone campaign Halo odst is a pile of bullshit

ODST is a filler inbetween Halo 3 and Reach so that people wouldn't loose interest when Reach was being made.

I liked ODST. The campaign is fun, but only if you have 3 GOOD friends that you enjoy talking to (it passed the time of walking). The Firefight mode is fun and getting Recon is usually the reason people bought this

i played halo 3 alot but im not a fanboy, i also found this game incredibly boring and redonkulus with the fact of campaign being repeditive and the firefight requiring you NEED to know people who either have this game or who will come and play with you. the least they couldve done was put a matchmaking search for other firefight people or some type of free for all.
