@abschussrampe hmm, well, a few things wrong. I don't think Shiki Tohno (Nanaya) has the potential to project his reality marble. He's too well-adjusted (jk) but it just doesn't seem likely. Furthermore, his powers don't work like that. His work by fulfilling the ingrained death and destruction within an object, obliterating its meaning from the face of existence. Traced lines only kill a very small portion. A dot stab...kills all. Within his sense of comprehension of course

@narutardkyuubi As I understood from reading Kara No Kyoukai, The Mystical Eyes of Death Perception are connected to Akasha and see the lines of fate it traced upon any object. Hence why he can destroy anything, because he can use the principle of "Whatever Akasha created, Akasha can take back as well." Absolute destruction of the meaning of the object, upon which it ceases to exist.

@abschussrampe The Shikis' Eyes are different, according to Nasu (although you can take that with a grain of salt) Ryougi's work by seeing an object's origin and, upon being traced, returns it. In this case, Akasha. Tohno's are the opposite, his see the absolute end of things. I think that's why they have different side affects. Ryougi's never in danger of an aneurysm, since all things start from Akasha, so she always comprehends their origin. Tohno must understand something's end.

@narutardkyuubi Pretty much. Tohno Shiki's eyes are true to their name "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception". Shiki sees death itself, so his brain pretty much overloads from trying to understand the end of everything. Ryougi and Tohno's eyes do the same thing in the end, but the basic concept is different.

Just like Shiki. I didn't know why i did that. I still wonder why she forgave me. I stabbed her with a fruit fork which was very very sharp. I did this in 1997. I watched the anime in 2006.

This is because Shiki has not only a psycho-personality inside of him, but a natural and nearly perfect fighting style thanks to this alter-ego inside of him. And with his lines-of-death seeing, he has infinite attack power. He strikes faster, he hits always the lines.

You could even be the fusioned ssj5 from Vegeta and Goku and would still kick the bucket, if he hits the lines.

But you think Shiki will be able to fend off Arcueid if he did fight a close hand-to-hand combat against her, who later remade her body and came back to him? Besides, even though Shiki has the survival instinct "engraved" inside his body, he can't consciously use those abilities. We must also include the fact that his body is weak because of a certain accident, if you know what I mean.

@angeluis23 There are quite some contradictions in that story if you ask me. Its easy to notice that it was Type-Moon's first production and they just started to make good Storys and Animes out of it.

Fun thing is truly that they always talk about how he killed Archeid, but clearly "it didnt happen" for real and was just a stupid and poor scripted reason why a stupid noob with eyes-of-death-perception would follow the beautiful and mystical vampire-girl through the Anime. ^_^

Dude, first of all, Type-Moon's first production was Kara no Kyoukai (I recommend you to watch it, animated by the all mighty ufotable) in book format. Second, have you read its visual novel? I bet not. There it explains clearly how Shiki killed Arcueid. It's just that J.C.Staff failed to understand that scene and screwed it up with this.

Tohno Shiki, in his Nanaya - demon killer mode AKA total badass mode

Or they are talking about The Tatari's manifestation of Tohno Shiki's fears. As his Nanaya persona was given physical form.

If you do some research you will notice that they are two distinct personae
