  • jane 18? haha not really...

  • @angel2rx

GO AHEAD AND READ IT!YOU'LL BE THRILLED.JE IS MY FAVOURITE NOVEL

  • He is so cute, acting just like a child, that makes him lovable...

  • i need to read this book. i know all these movie based remakes will not compare to it.

the imagination is so much more powerful then any movie.

  • Did this version not have the scenes in where she visits her aunt? I have just seen it on tv and thought they must have cut it ... I am puzzled...

  • I love how he gets very jealous when she doesn't write to him :)

  • Wow... skipped the fortune teller part......

  • "Explain to me the concept of a 28 day week!" Loved it! Lol.

  • this is so cute

  • My favorite version!!

  • is rochester supposed to have a mustache?

  • @sballgatorgirl06

I think they just did it because Ciaran Hinds was in Persuasion that same year and they didn't want him looking too similar in both movies. Though I think the mustache is goofy looking :(

  • They left out the part when she returns to her Aunt?! I was looking forward to that..

  • I love the way she looks at him at 2:54

  • "I'm so pleased that my distress amuses you" LOL, I love that scene

  • My favourite Rochester

  • "I've been out maneuvered my dear Blanche" Somehow I don't think he meant the game of pool they were playing. LOL

  • @SnapeHermioneshipper yes it took me till the third time I'd seen it to figure out that part then it became increasingly funny to me.

  • he's like a spoiled child... he needs a spanken, hehehe

  • my favorite jane

one of my least favorite rochester.... too much passion... and mustache

  • @jadeyes914 - It's not that he is too passionate, I think it is that this "Jane" is too soft and weak. No fire in her belly so he seems even more like the older man and her like the child.

  • @hihosilverlining2 soft and weak? funny, I see other people complaining she is too forward and arrogant :P

I like her interpretation for the most part, and this is my favorite *short* adaptation (for a full length miniseries see the 1983 bbc with T. Dalton.) But this whole film is rushed for obvious reasons and sadly I feel this can be seen in the actors performances to a degree. I would have liked to have seen this cast take a stab at a more lengthy, faithful adaptation.

  • @jadeyes914 I am with you. I love the Jane but I can't get past that mustache!

  • These actors and this adaptation is my favourite.....
