I'll admit.. i was skeptical about Ball watches...considering i've had many watches with Tritium tubes. (Luminox, Marathon, O & W)... but today i was able to handle some in person. and WOW. the quality is Excellent! right up there with Major name brands like Omega, tag, Breitling..very worth the $. Excellent Bang for the Buck!
Great review - but one point: there are MANY manufacturers who use tritium gas tubes. Luminox, Traser, etc etc all produce watches with the same gas tubes instead of traditional luminescent paint.
Ball is licensed, however, to have four (4) times the amount of tritium on their watches than ANY other watch imported into the US including the manufacturers you mention. They can only sell T25 watches in the US while Ball can sell T100s.. That is a significant difference as I own tritium watches from several manufacturers including Traser and Ball. There is no comparison.
tritium is radioactive, but the gas tubes are rated to 5000 g's and if you're wearing the watch and your body goes through 5000 g's worth of trauma, you really won't be worrying about the tritium or anything else, ever again.
Thanks for the comment. Yea - I admit the luminous "videography" is pretty weak. Actually if you look at my other reviews, you will see the "Lume-shots" turn out pretty good. Because Ball uses the "tritium-gas tubes", it made it very difficult for my video camera to pick up the lume - for some odd reason! But I will say that BALL makes BY FAR the most luminous and longest lasting watches on the market - they are amazing!
mb-microtec. Mb-microtec has their own watch brand named Traser watches. Also other watchbrands are delivered by mb-microtec, like Luminox , Frederique Constant and Ball watches.
The light sources are used in many ways but in perticular for watches and guns (As night-visions, see for example lynx system).

In Bangkok there is a second hand luxury watch retailer called Leng Narikaa.
''Leng' is an institution since the 70s. LWG watchgroup is their website.
I once wrote an article in IHT/ThaiDay about this amazing store.
