Great man of God and I know he had his heart in the right place and a backbone of steel. But his stubbornness took him too far and he and his ministry kept having to bail him out of jail because he refused to get a license for his homes (probably as an excuse for them to do what they wanted, LOL)

And I might add: Jesus was a hippie himself. Wore a robe, had long hair, the straitlaced Pharisees hated him, believed in giving away your goods to the poor, and anything else socialistic in nature

First of all, how do you know Jesus had long hair? Second, yes...give to the poor, not to the lazy who want to live off the work of others. In 2 Thess. 3:10-12 the Bible clearly states: "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all. Now those who are such we command through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work and eat THEIR OWN bread"

@jondstewart What Jesus preached wasn't socialist. he didn't preach giving away your wealth to the state, he preached giving your wealth to the individuals in need and to the church.

Jesus didn't walk around knocking on doors and talking at people who didn't want to hear him.

Jesus didn't preach giving away your neighbors wealth in place of your own, and he didn't preach worldly punishment and deathly consequences if you refused the call to surrender your equity.

America couldn't handle another Roloff or Billy Sunday because these men not only preached repentance, they told you what to repent of. They actually preached against the sins in our society and weren't afraid to call them out by name (i.e. shacking up, drinking, smoking, etc.). 95% of the churches in America today preach what I call "softball preaching". They preach that all you have to do is "believe, receive, and accept" Christ with no mention of repentance. It's a joke!
