  • I think this means there is another race of daleks that the doctor has not met!

  • You could say that the reason the daleks are emotionless is because of a possible

ending where Xenol fails and the daleks DO become more like machines

  • 3:55, and then he actually uses it!

  • 0:49, that is cleary a Star Trek TOS style wall communication console behind him.

  • A bit cheeky to use Star Trek sound effects and I see a ST comms panel at 4.00 on the wall? :)

  • @profquatermass

And at 0:50. Can't go wrong with Star Trek elements/easter eggs, especially since people did Star Wars elements to death already.

  • Son of a Thaal hahahaha

  • great i love this

  • son of a thal lol! the daleks do swear!

  • is the silver one a scientist?

because I like his eye, he might be a full size dalek project.

  • Can I just ask? Are their voices meant to have slight twinges of emotion? I think this is fantastic but you do need to sort the voice sound levels out. Otherwise: FANTASTIC!!!!!

  • i liked it =)

  • excellent work! loved both parts, cant wait for the next, any idea when?

  • I like this work. Incredible animation and a great story.

  • Zenol isn't very powerful-sounding for such an important Dalek...

  • Xenols voice like all the Daleks are a Work In progress, but his voice is based on the alternate Daleks from the Dalek Empire series

  • @Whitepagan

Are we going to see the various visual gags, like the items and objects in the backgrounds like the comic?

I hope to see the Daleks having the problem with the tube of glue....I'm sure you know the scene I'm talking about. ;)

  • @Whitepagan Can i assist in anyway? Like voices or something, i am pretty good at voices.

  • @dankerthanclanker possibly im a bit snowed under at the minute so havent got time to audition people if its ok i will add your name to the list of people i have to talk to about voices and i will get back to you

  • @Whitepagan Wow, fastest response ever. ok that's great, Just out of interest, what voice distorter are you using?

  • @dankerthanclanker Im working on a mac so im using gargage band with tis built in ring modulator which isnt very good if you on a pc i recommend audacity with the killer ringer plug in they guy who does the commando and red squad voices uses it and ti is really good his username on youtube is Dalek Idea give him a shout if you need help with th settings

  • @Whitepagan i'll take a shifty at that in the morning, I use morphvox, i can replicate a dalek voice ok with out it IMO so i can try and patch morphvox onto skype on this PC which is quicker.

    i'll look at audacity aswell.

  • @dankerthanclanker use whatever you think is best, my e-mail address is whiteknight500@yahoo.co.uk send me a voice test when you have time

  • @Whitepagan Great stuff, i'll send it you in the next week or so.

  • You did a nice job on the first episode, I hope to see more soon.

Just one thing though, aren't you missing a piece of dialog in Xenol's and Yttral's conversation?

  • This is an adaptation not a film of the comic so expect subtle differences.

  • @farshnuke

I only brought it up because the sync with their lights is there without them saying anything.

  • Oh sorry, my mistake.

  • No worries

  • Excellent work.

The music score is brilliantly epic!

  • Excellent stuff again. I agree about the sound.

  • I love this and feel proud to have been their lurking when the comic was made and the series devised. These daleks have been naturally inspired by the TV21 comic strips and other scifi shows but they are uniquely strong powerful and on the side of good.

  • on the side of good that streching it a bit isnt it the daleks have conqured and enslaved other races and once the dalek civil war ends with xenol wining they go back to enslaving the galaxy

  • Considering there are daleks who, according to the ninth doctor, honestly believe people should die. I'd say these are very much on the side for good, yes they're still daleks but they're more on the side for good than normal.

  • @farshnuke I think Xenol is like Che,I did what he thought was right for HIS people,he does not care about other species but his motivation can be respected as a act to protect what makes his people who they are,and he does have some sense of Honor

  • @MrCrossoverer Xenol's definitely the Dalek I'd want to have on my side in a firefight, he's a dalek with morality. That's always good.

  • wow this is turning in to something emotionally power , the daleks are very unusual

  • well the side of good for daleks for other races proberly precive them as evil

  • Really nice, I like the animation and lighting a lot, although I wish that the audio was more consistent throughout, I found myself riding the audio up and down throughout the animation.

But I really like where it's going. Make sure you post links at Gallifrey Base and Who3D!
