  • Puerto Rico the 51st state!!!! You can find more american patriotism in Puerto Rico, than in other states of the union.

  • @boston955 Sad. Just sad.

  • @boston955 Well, there are many Puerto Rican trolls on youtube that say that Americans are devils that invade Puerto Rico and try to destroy the Spanish culture of Puerto Rico. I highly doubt that these trolls like the US.

  • Reagan was a great President. PR should not be colony of the US no more.US congressmen should respect the US constitution and the democracy of the US nation.Puertoricans deserved the same civil rights as the rest of the Amercan US citizens.PR is a member of the american Army. PR is a member of the american economy. In fact, PR have been a member of the US society in every sense of the word for over 110 years.Territorial status is lack of respect for the 4 million latin US citizens of PR.

  • @DrKevKangs I dont need the civil rights Americans have. INDEPENDENCE FOR PUERTO RICO!

  • @Snowintosh You don't need civil rights, then you don't want to have control of your local decisions.Maybe you don't know what you are saying. At this moment the politicians of the states are the ones that are taking the decisions about the future of millions of puertorican local american citizens in the island. The island is still is a US territory or a US property and nobody supports the independence in PR not even 2% of the voters. It will never happen based on our US system of democracy

  • fuck puerto rico we have more than enough hispanics in the states

  • @parkerboggs89 Let me ask you something will you tell the thousands and thousand of Puerto Rican that lost their life in every American fucking war until now, we keep fighting for USA. What about the People in vieques? the USA navy almost destroy the island and the billions of dollars we contribute it to USA every years i have the reports.

  • @parkerboggs89 It's people like you that motivate me to fight for my countrys independence =). I just want you to share your views with those who favor statehood so that they can stop bitching for it and see that america doesnt want us lol

  • Ultra-conservatives racist stateside citizens should use this Reagan statement as an enlightenment reference on the issue.

  • "reagan smash!" *growl*

    "reagan sleepy..." zzZZzzz

  • @cia5000 if USA get open their border how many millions of people from other countries will left their own country to live in USA just answer that question, i'm sure only the rich people will stay living in their own countries

    .

  • dont you he is an actor?

  • It still boggles my mind how so many Puerto Ricans support and even advocate for statehood. There is nothing more beautiful than having patriotism for your country. It doesnt matter if that country is America, Puerto Rico, England or Brazil. Puerto Rico IS a country and it should forever stay that way. We should move on and support ourselves. We should move on and join the rest of the world nations. We have lost enough of our culture as a commonwealth. How much more are we willing to lose?

  • @cia5000 Wealfare

  • @cia5000 I will admit there are racist people in some places but they are clearly a minority. On a typical day I see people from Iran, China, Turkey, lots of Asians, and even Russians all happily living together. I do admit I'm in college, but this vagrant racism you talk about is largely unfounded. Have you ever even been to America?

  • @cia5000 As an American I feel your comment is completely unfounded. This is a nation that supports freedom, law, and personal rights above all else. Just for the record I am part German, French, English, Spanish, Chinese, and Native American. If I marry a Middle Eastern/African American woman our kids could encompass nearly every race and we would still be called Americans...

Please stop spreading around ridiculous claims.

  • @cia5000 PR would be a third world nation without US support. Evan as a territory it's improvished to hell anyway. That's why there are so many Americans against PR from becoming a state because that would require more of our money to prop PR up.

The honest truth... PR will never be the Hawaii of the Atlantic.

  • @Pvic How would they cost us money if they joined the Union? If anything both of us will make more money from this due to increased trade and a broadening of our horizons. Do you really think trade with yourself is bad?

  • It is time to make the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico the 51st State of the USA. The other States should now welcome Puerto Rico into the Union.

    God Bless the USA.

  • @ThisLittleAngel Finally somebody with some common sense...

  • All these pro-independence for PR people who live in the USA should get the hell out of USA. Why do you live in a US state yet do not want statehood for PR??? You are just simply selfish and ungrateful. By the way, you have always been, currently are and will always be a small minority of voters who can't pass the 4% mark of the general vote, soon you will be extinct.

  • I am Puerto Rican, I'm pro-independence, and I need Puerto Rican annexation to the US like you need a tumor.

  • INDEPENDENCE OR DEATH BULL SHIT WITH STATEHOOD! THOSE THAT WANT TO MAKE OUERTO RICO A STATEHOOD JUST GTFO TO USA!

  • @Burdock007 PR is a US property. You are the one that should leave and join your planet, you dumb.Puerto Rico the 51st State now!!!

  • Ronald Reagan was so wrong on this issue!

If Puerto Rico becomes another state, future generations in Puerto Rico will say that Americans stole Puerto Rico from Spain!

This makes the United States look bad!

  • Can someone put this as a response in one of the Glenn Beck videos??

  • @DelValle1980 What makes you think Glenn Beck always gives a shit about what some Republicans say?

Are you one of those people that believe in whatever Republicans say?

    Give me a break.

If Puerto Rico becomes another state, that will be even more burdern on the federal government.

Don't forget that SOME PUERTO RICANS WANT THE INDEPENDENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF WE TAKE PUERTO RICO, THEIR FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL SAY THAT AMERICANS STOLE PUERTO RICO FROM SPAIN!

  • @ttiiyy: This is not about Republicans, this is about the Conservative's Wet Dream AKA Ronald Reagan. If Puerto Rico becomes a State it would be a burden on the federal government but it already IS. But my issue is not Statehood, is the Territorial Status of the Commonwealth. You said that some Puerto Ricans want Independence, well some Alaskans like Todd Palin also do, also some Texans, but the question is, do you really know how many Puerto Ricans want Independence, I think not.

  • @DelValle1980 Maybe you'll understand this, if Puerto Ricans wanted Statehood, it would have happened a long time ago. The truth is, Puerto Ricans have resisted becoming a State of the Union. The majority of the Puerto Ricans don't want to become a State. By the way, to say "If Puerto Rico becomes a State it would be a burden on the federal government" is untrue. As it is right now, the U.S. is taking from Puerto Rico much more than what it gives. As a State, the sky's the limit.

  • @celtibero1000 "As it is right now, the U.S. is taking from Puerto Rico much more than what it gives." Bullshit. Got stats to back that up? . PR is a liability period. PR's public debt has grown at a faster pace than the growth of its economy, reaching $46.7 billion in 2008. In 2009 Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billion into the US Treasury. Guess who owns all that debt? The U.S. does.Cut PR loose and let them become their own country. Theres at least 20 X the PR's here then in PR. PR is a dump

  • @crookhunter U said "Theres at least 20 X the PR's here then in PR. PR is a dump"? You sound like an angry nincompoop.

  • @crookhunter What that fuck are you talking about? USA own us more than they can afford then give me back all those soldier who had die in all the war that USA had fought. They still dying for this country so when you come here talking shit please learn history asshole. Do you know who the liabilities for USA are? The Mexican and Central American that cost USA billions of dollars, Fuck you mother fucker.

  • Statehood for PR :) God bless America

  • ..... and they still can't make up there mind.. except they like our federal dollars with out having to pay any taxes, and that can't go on forever. Make a choice all readdy..

  • @2bRealist: Puerto Rico has 4 million inhabitants, that means it will have more representation than 27 states, but consider this, if a Constitutional Amendment is not made larger states like NY, TX, or CA will lose maybe 1 representative which equals losing power in the Congress. Is not only that Puerto Ricans have to decide, but also is the perception of the 50 states about loosing their power.

  • @Joandiel

and.. whats the problem of that?

All states have 2 Senators and a certain number of representatives.. so of course Puerto Rico will have theirs. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT.

I don't even have a problem knowing the fact that my state of Washington will indeed loose ONE representative.

I DO have a problem with FEDERAL TAX MONEY, billions of it going to a people that DO NOT PAY TAXES.

Either they are an independent nation or a state, but enough with the TAX DOLOR GIVE AWAY!

  • @2bRealist You are wrong. We pay import taxes and our own taxes. We CANNOT import with anyone but the US. Our welfare, our government, our "federal" scholarships, are funded by our own tax dollars. I'd say the only thing we get for free is US citizenship. Look it up.

  • @poetaviolinista

Good... so can you please make up your mind now?... Statehood or independence?

  • @2bRealist I made my mind up a long time ago. And two years ago was the first time I COULD vote. I will always be pro statehood.

  • @Joandiel

Actually I just found out that NO STATE WILL LOOS A REPRESENTATIVE!!

They just MAY not get an extra Representative after the Senses is verified and if Puerto Rico gains statehood...

Washington already has 9 Representatives! Plus 2 senators.

So NOT gaining a representative is a poor argument.

Now if you are part of the G.O.P. Knowing Purto Rico is a liberal nation.... now I can see conservatives are upset about this.. but hey thats growing pains for you and the nation IS GROWING.

  • @2bRealist well not all Puerto Ricans are liberal. in fact they have a Republican Governor of the island right now. also many of them Join the U.S Military too,

  • @Dogmeat1950 Yes I know about the Military.. and to all those who have joined and fought for both OUR country's.. I THANK THEM.

  • @2bRealist Actually, we are paying taxes FYI

  • @ja0129 Federal Taxes?

    or local Taxes?

    There is a difference..

By the way.. whats your take on this?

What would you like to happen to your "territory/country"'

  • @2bRealist both of the taxes and by the way, what kid of question is that?

  • @2bRealist. No offense but we pay sales tax (IVU), local government taxes and taxes which go straight to the commonwealth, considering the fact that jobs in PR are way harder to come by than in the US and the cost of living is way over what the avg household can make when compared to the US, we are way overtaxed. If we were to become a state would be the poorest among all 51 states. People don't realize the US gains $ from our resources but they don't want to pay for another state.

  • @2bRealist Sadly is not that we can make up our mind. The independence group of PR have being hunted by USA, PR government puppets, that have destroy almost the independence party. The independence party won the case in 1989 soo they had to stop listing those who were independence.

Very antidemocratic if you tell me, is like back in the days saying someone is a bad guy cuz his socialist.

Bad educated ppl just like USA, plus candidates lying again and again is why PR dnt choose independence

  • @2bRealist About the argument of paying federal taxes honestly is way more what USA take from us,that we gain from then. saying we dont want to join to not pay federal taxes that doesn't have nothing to do with it.

Thing are more complicated then that.

  • PR 51....

  • No way in hell...Our shinning STAR of the Caribbean is way to FUCKING big to fit in the Good ole Fucking ass USA.....
