  • :O Freni i love u!

  • Creo que deberían subir esta última parte del video otra vez, pero con la parte final completa, es terrible que al final no podamos escuchar la música completa :(

  • @iknouluvmi1 AH yes, and I intended it to be a MAJOR insult...NOT. It is actually EXTREMELY rude to correct people in CAPITAL LETTERS. See how offensive and PISSY it looks? I apologize for not being more informed about ancient chinese methods of respectful suicide...I was just making a comment on the staging choices. I have seen this acted out in different ways in Madame Butterfly.

  • @stiemogo Chinese? Madama Butterfly is an Italian opera from a story by David Belasco set in Japan.

  • Thank you very much for posting, absolutely loved it, but work on your editing, you cut a couple of high notes, beautiful passages like the bocca chiusa and this cadenza, that's criminal for us opera fans!

  • the orchestral final part is lost... nooooo

  • where's the ending?

  • @askofuh that is the ending

  • She did what is called Jigai.

  • In this case she did what is called "kobara". A special form of Jigai: suicide for the sake of your child/children.

  • Yes.Hara-kiri is only Male.Because, it must strip to the waist .

In ancient, when female kill herself, bind with legs-makes herselves presentable-, and thrust with short sword for neck.

  • @senta78 You should never call it hara kiri. It is an EXTREMELY vulgar form of the word. The male for of ritualized suicide is "Seppuku" and the female version is "Jigai". It should NEVER be called Hara kiri though. That's a major insult.

  • I thought hara- kari was performed by stabbing oneself in the stomach...not the neck....

  • Women stab themselves in the neck with a dagger, and men stab themselves in the stomach with a katana. XD

  • @stiemogo You should NEVER call it Hara kiri. Ever. It's a MAJOR insult.
