@violinbeauty1 Well, it happened in the 80's, portable video cameras weren't common, and ones light and durable enough that you'd take it to a theme park simply didn't exist.

It was caused by a design flaw in the trains, they were replaced after the accident with ones of a totally different design, this ride hasn't had a problem since.

Galaxyland is actually not the largest indoor amusement park. I went there and thought it was actually small.

@NancyandShae not quite, the operators do a quick visual check of the restraints after each ride, full inspections are only every 2 hours.

Yep it's the largest indoor rollercoaster. And it's really fun. It's a shame the lines are always so long!

The highest G forces occur over the second loop, 5.5 G's according to wikipedia. Also the ride is fairly smooth but not as smooth as it looks...
