I have always loved TinTin, I have all the dvds there should not be a single person who does not like TinTin or the deaf professer who will always be my fav
I just saw the movie today and was actually quite impressed. As you may guess, Spielberg took a lot of his own direction in the movie, but he did well with that part. However there were still a lot of parts that fit directly in with the comics to keep a fan like me grinning and happy. There were also a lot of little things he stuck in there, mostly near the beginning that only a fan would notice.
I have all the books, and have read and known them long since there was a rumour about the movie. He is extremely lucky, smart, cunning, and most of all, AWESOME!
when i was a baby my father had the comics, i use to watch the tv show, and now the movie is coming....its cheesy but i grew up on tin tin. watching it def. on 3-d. even though i hate 3-d on anything else.
This was the only show my sister and I were allowed to watch on school nights, allegedly because it was educational, but really because my Dad was also a huge Tintin fan -- we still have his incredibly battered (and colored on...) '50s copies of Red Rackham's Treasure and Explorers on the Moon.
My dad still remembers tintin when he was reading the books and ima go watch the movie for the 3rd time today with my dad. Ahhh tintin, best cartoon ever :).
For the record; this theme was written in the early 90's LONG after Tintin was already a franchise. Why people would expect Spielberg to use it is beyond me. 90's children grew up with the cartoons; entire GENERATIONS got familiair with Tintin through the comics (since 1929!). The cartoon series is just a footnote in Tintin's history and it should not be made more than it deserves to be. It wasn't even THAT good to begin with.
Awesome show, it was every American and Canadian kid's introduction to TinTin including me when i was 10 when this aired 20 years ago on HBO and became a fan, the new movie will be good.
@Turai12 Yeah, I'm highly sceptical. In my opinion, what makes Tintin so great is not Tintin himself, but the side characters and their personalities. I don't know whether a hollywood film will be able to capture that...
I remember watching this! This was the most epic early 1990's cartoon I've seen in a while. (after all...after Babar...I still needed a little action).
@dragonshapedscar According to Wikipedia, the opening and ending themes were composed by Ray Parker. The rest of the soundtrack was composed by Jim Morgan and Tom Szczesniak.
When you hear this song, it smashes your memories like a kick in the nuts, or like a train in the face ( remember video intro). It was, it is, and it will always be fucking epic !

Le film est génial; j'aurais aimé qu'ils reprennent ce thème là mais bon la nouvelle est bonne aussi; un peu trop dramatique à mon goût.
