  • i fuking love this car :_(

  • they copied alot of the styling cues from the Alpha Romeo 156-932. Look it up

  • @DareDevil13th

Well i hope you have fun killing yourself in an evo x as your first car.

  • @rustlerboi1052 lol and fucking up their trany and engine from shity shifts

  • my X looks good in my garage :)

  • @DareDevil13th be sure you can afford the damn insuance.. i didnt look into that.

  • YAY, My Car in need for Speed World

  • EV0 X rulezzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • lancer rocks in midnight max tune!!!XD

  • @DareDevil13th so did you get it?

  • In DiRT2 it costs $185000?!

  • MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION = MITSUBISHI LANCER AIR-POLLUTION!

  • @DareDevil13th I got my first car a few weeks ago- it's a 2010 VW Golf. While it may not be the msot reliable car in the world, it's fun as hell to drive, stylish and there isn't one at every stoplight like a Civic. I was considering a Civic but they're far too common for me to find anything fun about.

  • @DareDevil13th I really hope you don't mean a fucking turbocharged Evo X, or even an stock Evo for that matter. Have fun paying out the ass for insurance and wrecking a car you can't tame. Instead, go for a regular Lancer like a regular, somewhat self-respecting teenager and don't make it obvious that you're trying to compensate for something. The Evo is a great car but a 16 year old should NOT own one for their first car. Although, if you mean the basic Lancer than by all means, get one.

  • @DareDevil13th I like red too. Goes with the rally part IMO.

  • @DareDevil13th Yah its cool and all, but it gets annoying sometimes since everyone tries to race you in the street, even mini vans its pretty hillarious. And another thing its such a gas guzzler :( dam toyota supras are bad ass!!! good luck trying to find one tho those things are so rare!! and they cost about 50k now.. hope the best for you though..

  • @DareDevil13th wait wait. first you said you were getting it at 16, now your saying 18 lmao.. what next when your 25... i got mine when i was 17.. best first care ever:)

  • @DareDevil13th I'm 16, and if you have 33k to spend on your first car thats....messed up haha

if you do thoughg im very jeaous

  • @DareDevil13th lmao dude im 16 and finally got my license and im getting on in about a month!! not red though. ew.

  • is there any other tuner that's better than the evo 10?...

  • @DareDevil13th yah ok nigga u mean u getting a lancer GTS or something lesser then that cause even a regular lancer is too much for you . i suggest a geo for you now.

  • car is awsome, review boring!

  • @DareDevil13th Woah, don't get angry... But still, you need quite a lot of money even to pay monthly. And with maintenance, and premium gas... I know that I wouldn't be able to afford it!

  • @DareDevil13th You've got 40 000$ for the Evo and about 5000$ a year for insurances? =P Hope your father is generous...

  • So, here's the deal. I'm looking for something as a daily driver. I live in New England, and winters are harsh here, so I want all wheel drive, but I don't want a ride that feels like my vertebra are falling out of place. Will this ride kill me and any children I might have in the future? And are the MR transmission's "Sport" and "Sport Plus" modes really worth it, or can I get just as much aggressive acceleration with the base?

  • @DareDevil13th I hope you're joking. This is not a car for a little kid. You're going to end up dead in a ditch.

  • i wan it

  • Hmm.... They ruined it with a duel clutch transmition it's an evo not a lambo it needs a normal 6 speed

  • This car is really good. It has all the good qualities to make it better than anything in its class. I want one so bad

  • evo X = beast

    evo VII = monster

  • This is my bodyguard's car! Its got the same technology and mods as my car, but painted tan gold w/ yellow chrome rims! It's mods are a 1,000,000 mile single charge hybrid battery, Stratospeed wide body kit, Centerline Convo Pro wheels, yellow pulse underglow neon, ABS Brembo brakes, and a Mitsubishi security system!

  • Good luck for saving =) . That car cost about 60 000€ but it's awesome and powerful.

  • lmao. how do you afford it?

  • Dude shut the fuck up you spoiled shit head. Im pretty sure you've never driven a stick and prob cant handle the power, so youll crash it you piece of shit

  • I smell jealousy

  • I smell a spoiled brat who hopefully is going to end up in a ditch before the car is 5k miles old.

  • @tommysch

haha its not his fault you didn't get a job that pays well

  • Hes 15...

    I get paid 75k$/year

And I own a real life Ralliart.

  • @tommysch

I stand corrected. congrats on your car! do you mind if I ask you ocupation? i'm looking for a carreer myself. and sorry for being a smartass

  • I work as an industrial electronic technician in a big paper mill. In short term I work in industrial automation.

I dont know where you live, but here the jobs that are booming are factory jobs, the baby boomers are all going to retirement. Millwright, electrician, industrial electronics and stuff like that. All professional unionized factory jobs are great.

  • its ugli ajjj

  • piekna maszyna 5/5

  • what has happen to the evo look?............. evo 9 looked so much better than this wtf have they done to it...

  • I understand your point. I still get impressed looking at Evo IX's, but you'll have to face it, eventually.

Both Evo X and newest STi have matured. Despite their lesser over-the-top look, they're both superior to their previous incarnations. I own a Lancer Evo X and even though I miss the Evo VIII and Evo IX look, I just think of it this way-- The Evo X looks less pretentious than previous Evo's and it has more than enough of everything where it really counts. It still is a hardcore ride.

  • evo 8 was sexy to

  • I thought similar to that until i drove the Evo x...Especially the Mr with the new tranny...

  • im not gonna lie. i hate paddle shifters regardless of how great it is

  • me to

    H pattern all the way

  • the best stock car ever made period. no arguing

  • i like it in black ans white

  • this car is so sexy

  • Will the evo RS be available in the united states?

  • wtf is this guy smoking this lancer is the best looking lancer so far wtf it's not just a street fighter it's a street brawler LMAO

  • I would most rather get the EVO X with from the tokyo Game show. 295HP, 300 ft-lbs of torque. steering wheel on right side, also has the dual clutch, for the speed shifting.

  • ...I wish I didn't buy my Ridgeline now, I just saw one and I'm kicking myself.

  • i really think that thanks to NFS Underground2,this car is so succesfully...my dream LANCER EVO

  • No it was popular else where it existed before NFS did just not in america

  • lol

  • i agree new wrx is horrible, love my evo x

  • i wanted to buy this car but i already have a lancer ex GT-A....maybe i'l buy it someday

  • I want it!!! I love this car!!!!

  • why did they get rid of the 6 speed manual...

  • they think that the new gearbox for the mr has a lot faster and more efficient shifting, which i guess it does, but i dont know too much about all that haha. :)

you can still have manual for the gsr, but yeah thats a 5 speed manual...

  • I own a Ralliart which has a lightened up version of the new MR's SST Twin Clutch Transmission, its smooth and efficient, works well for daily driving, but there is a noticable difference between a real manual and these "automated-manuals" when you are trying to drive hard (i.e. Mullholland Dr.) I would really prefer a clutch i can operate myself.

  • Just getting boring looking now, I mean way better than the awful looking WRX they make now, just lost its bad ass ness that it had back in the day:(

  • Honestly, I disagree.

The new X looks less "ridiculous" for lack of better words with it's new look.

IMHO, styling of Evos in order from best to worst:

X, IX, VII, VIII, VI, V, IV, III, II, I

  • evolution spec are just the opposite.

    295bhp + turbo + 4wd + hood scoop + etc's.

in simple terms, a lancer evolution is an "evolved" version of the regular lancer.

the "ralliart" lancer is the next best bet if you cant afford an evolution, why?

    its got 240hp + 4wd + turbo + hoodscoop + etc.

a hoodscoop is the opening from the hood (look at the evo from the video)where the air comes in to cool the engine and for better airflow for the air intake system. blahblahblah.

    hope that helped

  • thanks for the info. i dunno why he settled for that... he should've bought ralliart... Maybe because he spent so much on his r34...

  • Better fuel economy?

  • here are some differences:

    specs for lancer gts/ex

    its 165hp,front-wheel drive,no recaro racing seats,no turbo + kits + intercoolers,no overfenders,no tarmac/snow/gravel settings,no red neons on pillars??,no brembo brakes,no super ayc, no back bumper diffusers + etc's.

  • did anyone else fall asleep while watching this video??? i thought it was impossible to make a video about an evo boring. great job inside line! that takes talent! I don't think this driver got past 35 on a race track.

  • smithy, you must be talking about the fq400, man..-_-;

  • alright terrencemcg. ill be nice and give you the difference between your uncle's ride and this evo you're looking at.

i beleive the lancer-ex is an equivalent of a lancer-gts here in america.

although the specs are different. here it goes.

    gts evo

    165hp 295hp

    fr

  • blimey! the u.s version is only 295bhp here in europe its 360 - 400 bhp i feel sorry for the american evo fans!

  • very cool

  • It needs a shift knob and more colorful seats like yesterday, but other than that it looks like a pretty well made machine. Aluminum and turbochargers have never seen eye to eye, but Mitsubishi has been at this game a while now. The aftermarket is already killer for the Evo as well. Saw an Evo X at work today and it defintily won my raised eye brows.

  • i think evo is nice car :)and fast;) how do u think, can woman drive that car??:)))))

  • definitely no:p

  • god damit, i hate that fukin antena, cmon its a 45 grand car, couldnt they at least put the little vertical wing found on bmw audi etc, it ruins the great car, each time i see an evo x , im mezmerized by its beauty, but then the antena fukin comes up in my view :( i just wanna take my pockket knife and cut it and burn it, remember 45 grand is luxury car money!!!!!!

  • 45 g's is hardly the price of a luxury car. more like 50 g's but still hardly that. you can buy a "luxury" car for 45 g's though.

  • i have 5 of these if you want 1 contact me (only in uk)importing to usa christmas 08

  • im gettin a MR woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • this car is unbelievable, y bery beautiful

  • Nice Ive seen both evos today at, a car show, The evos are nice

  • YOU look weird biaatch

  • My information is the UK Version EVO-X , the UK version EVO-X model name and the United States Version model name is a different

    Evolution X (Total 7 Edition)

6 Edition is Manual, 1 Edition is 6 speed Twin-Cutch Sportronic Shift

  • Evolution X (Total 7 Edition)

6 Edition is Manual, 1 Edition is 6 speed Twin-Cutch Sportronic Shift

  • this evo is clean

  • PS. 1luv to subie boys and hate to all the other fake jap company commercials i see on tv.

  • thats what im sayin' my filipino friend... these clowns are washed-up never heard of evo bitches... mann.. even boi j-chan collects these machines from I-IX and even scoobie boys use the turbo straight from the factory. hahahhahahha....!!! learn shit before u run ur mouths fckers..last post............ n im out.

  • I raced my Brother's 650i againts my Evo VIII, and I barely beat him (his front bumper was beside my driver side door), but My car is stock which only has 276hp, and his car has around 367hp, thats 90 more hp than my evo, and I beat him.. I love the BMW, but the Beamers are not made for racing, period!! And ur compairing those two car which is not in the same class...

  • now........ GET THAT SHIIIIIIET OOOOUTTA HEEEEEEEEEEEERE!!!

  • all i see from this nerd Katiusha79 are:

    *)Hahaha "yeah rite"

    *)All luxury brand name

*)Germany (I'm sure I don't know this). Could an Evo pass that extreme test? (I doubt it) hihi

*)buy either the 328i or the C300. Only crazy people will buy the Evo.

TOO BAD YOU CANT FOOL ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH THAT SAD SHIT. I hope you got a girl you can cry to.

  • IF you clowns are gonna dog this ORIENT jewel... back ur reasons up. otherwise, ud look like whinners here on youtube cuz noone would listen to your shit in the real world...

1luv to xxGxx46xx(assuming australian/brit)/ Tuscani30(knowledgable and actually makes sense)/phas3r(knows the diff between the cars)

  • you guys are sad fukkn bitches... tsk tsk.. who'r you trying to kid with that bullshit ur saying? comparing this 2.0 car to a bmmer and an inline 6 gtr... do you guys even think or your heads just full of air?

  • mate, be real man, there is much more than figures, power to weight, grip, aerodynamics, evo would destroy most german cars like bmw's. i gotta a cls55 amg, not slow, but evo would probs still be faster round a track!!!!

  • What is yall talking about 90000 wat ever you get the nismo ill get the evo let settle it on the street punk please learn and read about cars before posting a comment

  • With 90000 more visits to repair shops maybe, 'tard.

  • hell nah

    NISMO Will with The GTR

  • By The Way In Nurburgring In Germany The Evo Would beat the course you talking about a car 0.96 lateral G, which is consider extreme grip which no BMW, Mercedez, Audi or Cadillac can reach such extreme grip, plus it's only Shy Of 5hp versus your BMW 335. So How could u say it can't handle Germany, Get a life dude.

  • before anything don't get me wrong im a big fan of bmw and mercedes especially bmw, you can check my profile, but i dont like people who rule out japanese car for eg the evo.i dont know about other country but in my country the price of evo 9 is the same as 325i e90..the price of 335i coupe is almost the double of evo9's price.. and evo's 0-100km/h and handling is still better than 335i(evo 9 has 286hp)

  • dude, evos and german cars that are priced the same are different type of cars.evos are not luxurious car. the evo offers all performance, handling that the 328i/c300 can't offer while the germans offer luxury with less performance. please don't compare them again

  • what the... it looks like a lancer GTC, mmm now that subaru made impreza a hacth and mitsu make pretty the Evo who the hell will make us feel adrenaline? Mazdaspeed?

  • No. No. No. TRD buddy, TRD. Definetly TRD.

  • haha a corolla well that version maybe

  • anyone else not appreciate the look of the new evo? the car seems too heavy, like the waistline is really fat and makes the wheels cool small by comparison.

  • Beautifuly put, and it doesnt appear as user freindly either, like its complicated, with a pleathora of superfluous contours, and lines. I couldnt put my finger on it though, but you nailed it. I alos dont like that buldge neer the fog lamp, and the trend following air vent behind the front wheels. T

The shark nose coperate face doenst look aerodynamically sound either.

  • *look not cool

  • Oh, I have a question- What rims lok clean on an Evo IX, aside from the stock BBS's on the MR. I'de like to know, as I need a wider track than the BBS's can accomidate. I was thinking of the Enkei NTO3's, but, I dont know. Volks? CE28n's? The RE series? Enkei RPF1's? I'm looking for something tasteful, not those cheaply looking star rims everyone is accustomed to. You know, black center with the polished lip on a black Evo-how original.

  • For a black Evo IX I would go with Volks TE37 Time Attacks. CE28ns never fail though. Could always look into some Advans, I forget the exact spec but most of the rims would do the trick.

  • love youtube for this kind of videos :)))) but still, I think I'm swtiching to GAGLA dot com, its got videos and cool profile editing features, you guys should check it out....

  • hey the rally art coming soon with 230 hp more nice for my and more real butget.now is the same way in subaru

  • hey men you need a woman !

  • You noticed too huh?

  • now compare this to the 2008 kia WRX sti (sorry, I meant subaru)

  • ;I to it very I am satisfied with the new one to lancer live east car is another one, is to be accustomed,lo same passage with the Corvette when change.

  • All of the Corvettes changes were performance oriented, and you have to bear in mind that the Evolution has a different target market than the Corvette, so taste drastically differ, and yet, even Chevrolet with its halo car, made it both more focused AND more comfortable for its clients-

  • Though Evolution owners are often extremist who love to acknowledge the fact that their car is performance with no pretention, hence the spartan interior; that reminds them that their Evolution is a speciall built performance machine, that understands that vanity is unecessary in a focused car such as the Evo-

  • Which all add to the mistique and allure of the Evolution- the fact that its so raw and uncomprimising is more alluring; then a turn off. Its like Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds, its so troublesome, its infatuating. Anyone who used to buy an Evolution knew, that this car was infatuating in every sense, want a family sedan- could've brought a IS250-

  • Want a sports car? For that price tag, a 350z couldve done, if luxury is your concern, the G35 was there, you want marginally less performance, but much more comfort, there was always the STI, and it was more exclusive too (3000 per year, as opposed to 6000), want more luxury, with the name to sport, can we say BMW? But this machine looks so sinister, so focused, so mean, it cost $32,000, and judgine off of the interior, it shouldnt,-

  • but it doesnt care, it whistles, it buzzes, it slams you to the back of your seat, it spills coffee on the most trivial bumps that espresso cost me $5.00, but its talking to me, in a way no other car did, its saying "try that corner a little faster, see, you entry anlge needs to be a little tidier" I swore I heard it when the wastegate went off, its recaro's are standard issue, no frills seats, that hug, its wing a tribute to its exteme high octane brother-

  • $32,000, man thats some seriouse change, and this car isnt going to sit well with my mother, it looks to obnoxiouse, look at that crap ass stereo, but, its so fun, and it has soul, something no other car can emulate, its like Howard Stern, refreshingly honest, regardless of how rude it may be, "I'll take it" I said to the salesman, "18mpg? Can I get it with a free tank of gas with that?".

  • The new one rationalizes itself, it comprimises, it isnt proud to be itself, as the previouse Foor Door Anomalies were. It tries to be well manered, its tamed, its on a leash. It sold itself to the perils of appeasement, something it never did before.

  • Does anyone who owns a Lancer Evo.(really owns a Evo) know what I'm saying? I wouldnt trade mine in for anything other then a Lotus Exige, as I feel I've been rotten with rawness to the core, and that would be the only car I could sit in and have any fun with. As its the only car that can fatrinize with the Evo (previous), the only two cars that in a full house of impostors, they understand eachothers nature. It used to be that way.

  • Sorry but I'm NEVER trading in my IX RS. I've been thinking about what car to get next and but the evo kinda spoils it. It already matches or beats a lot of exotics. I've thought about a lotus after checking out my friend's. The only problem I'd have is getting in is like putting on a pair of tight pants and you elbow your passenger alot.

  • Its called the "jump and scoot". Hold on to the b-pillar, jump, swing, tuck, slide, and drop. With any luck, you will be perfectly seated on the ridge of the seat, in which case you can then properly adjust yourself. You are now seated in the Lotus. (Recommended for people under 6' 2").

  • Friend I have evo 1V version MR in target the car is precious in nobody angulo but always and wanted this same car with the same power but in automatic since he is exhausting in a comanagement to vehicular removing and entering cloch, this new one lancer has but to be able, better suspension, better Design exteriol and much but tecnologia that my and interiors of quality,el model says evolution "forwards"

  • But, is basterdizing the driver and machine interface worth all the added amenities? On a car like the Evolution, thats the only thing that matters. If they wanted to have a general purpose vehicle, they could have made the RallyArt edition a more rounded, and WRX like machine. They didnt have to water down the LAncer Evolution is what I'm saying-

  • The Elise, Corvette,....STI, GT-R, 350Z all became more focused and sharper machines, we all can acknowledge the fact that generalizing purpose built machines is never a good venture, look at the RX-7 to RX-8 transition, and how that car was bemoaned.

  • So which one would you take for performance and Looks:? Evo x GSR or 370Z

  • me personally the 370z all the way!

  • Difficult choice. the Evo X looks beastly as is - I'd take looks AND performance :)

  • And chrome on a car like this? It wears jewelery now; so gueto.

  • I just wish the Lancer became so focused, that it was to be referred to as a precision tool that would defy the definition of interaction and become an automotive fusion, we all know it had the potential; it just needed a tighter turning radius (and that was it, sort of, maybe 20hp, and 12ft/lbs, but that was it). But it didnt, it wound up in Linens and Things.

  • definity is a step foward (evolution) nice tecnology the transmition whiht nou pedal cluch, impres . the MR color like

  • Define Evolution and you will find that this car is not that, it is more of a mutation, than an evolution, this one was mixed with Sugar, and Spice and Everything Nice, were the previous lancer preferred a healthy dose of oil, gas, and rubber, all the nutrients a real machine needed. And if you really liked the Evo, you'de despise the cliche-follow-the-trend clutchless system. The Evo needs the clutch for the harmony of driver and machine to be established-

  • If you want a impressionist, get a VW R32; as that car has always been the posh all-wheel diver', which is what almost everyone here seems to want- Evo fans, yeah'... Oh, correction, mutation is a form of evolution, my bad. But i just wish mitsubishi didnt water down the perfect mix. It was perfect. All the way down to the spartan "all or nothing" interior that personified the Evo's philosophy.

  • And previous lancer evolutions reall did look the part of an Evolutions by appearing different from its base counterpart. These ones look like Lancers with body kits, not as distinguishable as the previous ones from their base models- I think the Lancer devolved. I mean, the IX had different fenders, different hood, headlights, and tail-lights that all served to make the regular lancer so well, regular. This one looks like Lancer sport package-or LUX as somone put it.

  • Eh, I still prefer the Evo IX.

  • No Automatic..man must be 6-Speed

  • The Diff between the 350Z & EVO is that Mitsubishi never stopped producing the EVO. Nissan went several years before bringing the Z back. It was done almost for nostalgic purposes...a demand that needed to be filled, plus it was a rear wheel drive machine with a strong v6 like the old one. Surely they used an all alum block on the 350Z which would be different than the old 250Z, plus they forgot the turbo edition, which im sure hardcore Z lovers were pissed about

  • Thats not what I meant. My thesis is that Nissan managed to capture the soul of the Datsun, and consumate that soul in the seductive lines of the 350z. Their both the same car with the same pedegree- the same emotions you got in 1970, is the same in 2007, from the original to the Pininfarina(Z33 for those who dont know), to the one today, turbo or not, they still have the same soul. This Lancer is a different species all together. Not an Evolution at all by definition or concept.

  • I remember racing an EVO when I had an 2002 mustang GT. At the time I didn't know sh(t about the EVO, but afterwards that I had new found respect for it. The problem was that it didn't appeal to me (looks wise) and now (the evo X) does. My mustang is gone because it couldnt handle bad weather, and having only 2 doors sucked. The EVO is no longer a one dimension street racer, that I will agree but that is not necessarily a bad thing!

  • Evo VI "the last real Evo". Somone tell me why, "because its faster" is a poser's answer. Someone tell me why they think it is.... I bet most people who say that, dont even know why they say it, they just do because it makes them sound more knowledgable.

  • I see your point, but the Name evolution means to evolve, just because the vehicle started out as a stripped down, turbo charged corning machine, doesn't mean it wouldn't eventually 'evolve' into something more. I think the vehicle will do really well in 2008 and continue to grow into a more well-rounded machine. And I would be willing to be anything that this new Evo handles better than the IV, and I'm sure we will find out come March of 2008, which is when I'm off to the dealer..

  • No, the Evo VI comment is because most people dont know the true meaning behind that statement, I was just wonderign if someone wasnt just being a poser. Anyhow, Evolution is not Revolution, which this one is, as its very philosophy is altered to such a state that it is no longer the Evolution of your. The very slogan behind this car is dramatically different from its predecessors, which makes it an Evolution only by name-

  • This new Evolution does not have the character that previous generations had; and despite the different mechanics, it could have retained its character, which it lost in its effort to appeal to more consumers. That is what I disagree with, Nissan managed to do so with the 350z, why couldnt Mitsubishi do so here.

  • Well, I'll hold on to my example, and seek solice in acknowledging that my machine is the pinnacle of the last of a very rare breed. At least the STI is trying to become more focused (however ugly it may be), something the Evo was.

  • The smartest thing BISHI could have done to guarantee sales, is to attract a broader customer base. I for one am 28 and have driven sports cars my whole life. I still want that sports car fun(speed/handling) but this car represents 4 doors, all wheel drive for the bad weather in NJ and decent fuel consumption. To me its also way better looking than the older EVOs, but I understand ppl have diff taste when it comes to things like that.

  • I agree that the prototype X was much better looking..but most of the appeal we knew would never make it to production (20 inch rims & better fog light-leds, nicer side mirrors, etc) It's still one of the nicer cars coming out in the next year or so that is some what affordable. I also get what jbenard1234 is saying to an extent, but I think he's jumping to conclusions based upon what Edmund's drivers have to say and not making HIS own opinion based on HIS own EVO X driving experience

  • I dont agree with the car's essence, its plight, its being. Once again, heres what analyst dont get- The Evolution is an established name, and nothing can change that. The name of this car dictates its audience, and it wont deviate away from that, regardless of the content-

  • People who's intentions were to go and buy a sporting car with refinement wont think "Evolution" their intent will be "IS250". They wont stray to far from that perspective, because these cars have established a certain social title to them. If broader appeal is the slogan, than you cant forget this, most people, are inheretly superficial, and just because you change the content, doesnt mean that they are going to ignore the name.

  • Sport Compact enthusiast (which is the Evolutions, or was the Evolutions target audience) wont buy this car because it isnt as stout as its predicessor, and its legendary mechanics are no longer present (4g63). People will not ignore that, I'm pretty sure you didnt. Remember the RX-8, its projections were the same, but it failed miserably because it didnt have the sparkle the RX-7 did. This is the same story-

  • I'm not just pulling things out the sky here, I think like the average consumer, which is something number crunching top execs choose to ignore, as they analyse figures and charts, instead of just straight asking someone. Their the people who go and read books on how to do things; you and I actually do them. WE would know what we want in the lancer, not them.

  • Can you honestly say you wanted a watered down Evolution? Was that the cars purpose in 1992, to be a four door family hauler? Or was it a homoligation special? It was never intended to "represents 4 doors, all wheel drive for the bad weather in NJ and decent fuel consumption". That my friend is called a WRX. The Evo with its 19mpg (I own one) is not intended to do that, its intention WAS to be a the "basterdized" brother of its WRC counterpart, a mere street legal version of that vehicle.

  • The Evolution had one sole purpose- to be the most focused drivers machine with four doors, and it did that(hence the word did). It's intentions were to be a spectacle of automotive inginuity with four doors.

  • Dont try to say that Mitsubishi intended for it to be an entertaining multipurpose vehichle, as from birth, it was anything but. Its all wheel drive system is for rocketing out of corners with maximum grip, not bad New Jersey weather, though it is very good at that-

  • Mitsu's engineers didnt design it for that at all, they disigned it to be a WRC machine for devoted owners to enjoy - the key reason as to why they offered the RS for the extreme few. Even the STI's purpose is the same. You were speaking of the base WRX when you said that. The WRX's intentions where that since its introduction into the U.S in 2001. I had to correct you.

  • A step up for sure , looks classy.

  • Wtf happen to the bbs rims and brimbo brakes the hot better looking seat's and 320hp and 325tq man they keep changing it and only for the wrost about the time it come's out they changed it so much I dont even want it man this sucks they need to stick to one design and the other one was better

  • jbernard1234 what exactly are u so angry at? is it that you have a EVO 9 and now the Evo X is better looking & handles better? How can you possibly bash a car company for improving upon a successful idea by giving the car better looks, handling and some luxury items such as a powerful stereo and navigation system? Did you really think the EVO would be ugly forever? The looks have finally caught up to the performance...

  • No, it isnt that. If you know the Evolution, it was never about comprimise, either you were meant for the machine or not, not vise versa. It is the fact that the Evolution is becoming a well balanced sedan that offends me- And how mitsubishi allienated their devoted fans with this one, Aluminum unboostable block and all. Oh, and adding weight never makes performance, and the editor already said which one is more focused-

  • offering a DSG system in a drivers car is a mortal sin, as there is a disconnect between the driver and the chassis with this setup, regardless of the optional 5-speed or not. The Evolution was never a car that would appease inexperienced drivers, it would entertain them, but not appease them, as this one does-
