The song is FYR by Le Tigre. Great band, great message. I'm a guy, and if you write off femme-rock bands like Le Tigre, The Blow, Peaches, and Ladytron you're really missing out. Some excellent music out there by girl bands who (what a shocker) sing from a girl's point of view. I'm quite happy being a guy and wouldn't trade it in, but I have to admit that well behaved women rarely make history. Keep it up ladies!

I have no problem with men standing up for their rights (ironically thats a very feminist thing to do). Im on of the old school feminists who believes its about treating each other with dignity and respect and ive spoken out several times about how men are basically screwed when it comes to child custody as well as domestic violence. Many of the ppl who call themselves masculists much like ppl who call themselves feminists care nothing about rights they simply don't respect the opposite sex.

Sorry I ran on too long to answer your second question. No , I do not consider nick my equal because he's a better person that I could hope to be and I consider myself lucky to be with him. I truely mean that its not a cheesy newly wed answer i've always admired him but that have nothing to do with his genetalia. The reason im a feminist is because i dont believe people should be assigned roles because of whats in their pants. Ppl deserve to have the freedom to be whoever they are.
