a really good series on the basics of DCC.. very easy and simple to understand. I'm about to convert my DCC ready locos to DCC, decoders due to arrive any day in the post :-) ..along with a heljan 47, couple of VGAs and a bachmann signal box and buildings ofcourse!! ..couldn't just buy the decoders on their own lol

Hellfire!! I have 20129 and it is really loud and brilliant. My 37057 is far too quiet, if the 37s were as loud as the 20 I would get loads! The 37 sounds good, but if anything else is running you cannot hear it. I dont have a 56 or 60 yet, but I am real tempted after seeing this vid! I borrowed a 47 and 66 off my mate and they are quite loud as well, but the 37 has been spoilt by quietening the sound down.

Depending on which dcc controller you are using, you can change the volume level on the sound. I turned down the sound on the 20, but will turn up the 37 when I get round to it.I think it's cv 57 for the volume, will double check the info sheet with the loco.Cheers.
