  • I am one of the most fortunate men. In 1962, on a visit from Pakistan to India, I was present at a show in Poona, a fundraiser for Anglo Urdu School. I saw Dilip Kumar, and many stars. The finale was Mohamed Rafi, who drove straight from the studio in Bombay to attend this function. He spoke a few words about the song he had just recorded., then he sang...Chaudhvin ka Chand! I will NEVER forget that experience.

To me, Rafi Sahib is a very great gift, a wonderful human being, an inspiration..
