  • This is evidence that the Big 10 is a 4-team conference. Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, and Michigan State and formerly Michigan are the only real teams in the Big 10. Purdue lost to Bowling Green to open the season, rattled off 6 wins over easy teams, was ranked #8 and then walked into the Big House and got killed. What does that tell you?

  • @commodorefan2 Whaddaya mean "formerly?" We'll be back buddy, u watch!

  • @MrBigStuff456

I am a Michigan fan and ever since the loss to OSU in 2006 where we missed out on a trip to play for the national title, we've been in a downward spiral.

  • @commodorefan2 Ya thats true, but do you think Hoke is gonna bring us back?

  • @MrBigStuff456

I really don't know. They said DickRod would win us a national championship AND WHADDYA KNOW? It never happened. I'm going to the WMU and Notre Dame games, so I'm really looking forward to that. GO BLUE AND GO BRONCOS!!!!! (I went to Western my freshman year of college before transferring to Washington. GO HUSKIES!!!...even though they suck)

  • @commodorefan2 are you high? hahaha we were unreal this year, but alas, in 2006 we kicked your ass hard enough vandy

  • @commodorefan2

I am mainly a Michigan fan (being as I am from Michigan), but in the game against Vanderbilt, if I remember correctly, Vandy's defense harassed Michigan and wouldn't really let them do anything productive offensively. It was pretty lackluster.

  • AHHH leon hall, chris perry, two great college players, two careers ruined by the bengals

  • so WolverineHistorian--I'm the Florida Gator fan who's commented on several of your videos before and first of all I want to reiterate that you've done an awesome job with these videos! Thanks for keeping the audio commentary too and not dubbing it over with some stupid song.

And secondly, you're not going to believe where I moved to 5 months ago...DETROIT. Lol. Looks like I have a 2nd team to root for up here!

  • You can't stop him, he's a cut back waiting to happen...

  • MY GOD?! Purdue was ranked 8th in 2003?! My god I forgot all about that wow lol times have changed with them eh lol

  • First time watching! MONSTER block from Navarre around 3:45 and he gets out there pretty quickly for a pro-style QB. What an athlete.

  • This was my first Michigan game vs. a Big Ten opponent, my first two games were against ND in 1998 and Central Michigan earlier in the year 2003. Was there with my dad and my girlfriend at the time. I have such great memories at Michigan Stadium!

  • The best team probably at michigan was the team that lost to app state just choked so cant really call them the best. Most talent though

  • best team was their 1997 team i think

  • Man I was at this game and it was so live there, cuz that year pudue's offense was supposed to be unstoppable and we mashed orton violently

  • this has to be Michigan football at its best. i dont think ive ever seen them play better. it was a championship caliber team that year, but they choked at oregon.

  • @rylant31 they say Oregon is where great teams go to die, and we did. However we won the Big Ten this year and beat Ohio St. Like you said, Michigan at its best.

  • I laugh everytime Musenburger goes "FUMBLE!"

  • That's a 5 sipper in the Musberger drinking game.

  • haha

  • lmao

  • at :30, you can hear hail to the victors and the abc college football theme song, does it get any better than that?

  • I fuckin love that ABC music! Hail to the Victors never gets old, but I wish they would keep that ABC music!

    Go Blue!

  • dude 2003 was the best year in a long time. we beat notre dame 38-0, we beat purdue 31-3 (the only reason why that game was significant is because i live in indiana) and we beat ohio state by 2 touchdowns!!!

    Go Blue!!!

  • Leon Hall another alumni from Detriot St. Martin Depores High School that my high school team was able to handle. Edwards, Darnell Hood was from that school as well. Its just cool to see players that I actual played against make it to the big time. Go Blue!

  • Leon Hall is from Vista California. Must be a different Hall.

    GO BLUE!!!!!!

  • I was thinking it was him, but as soon as a posted the comment I realized I f-ed up. I was actually thinking of Marcus Curry.

  • Where is John Navarre now? I really liked him as a qb.

  • thrid string for the Colts or possibly just on their practice squad. Saw the other day that another U of M QB is on a NFL team again. Drew Henson with the Lions.

  • michigan shouldent have lost in the reguler season this year they were to cocky vs oregon and special teams sucked vs iowa

  • the good old days

  • I like fox in all but the bcs was best on abc.

  • Agreed.

  • That was an awesome game, Avant also threw a spectacular block on that Breaston return. I loved the 2003 teams

  • Navarre threw an excellent block for Steve Breaston

  • Kyle Orton, lolz

  • God I love that old ABC music.

  • First time ever seeing an actual game at the Big House. Michigan's Defense was absolutely dominant that day. Awesome experience!

  • I miss watching Braylon in Ann Arbor.

  • I have been looking for this game for a while ... thanks for posting!

  • I miss this team...they were the last one to beat the Bucks =(

  • I was at this game. A lot of special players on that squad.
