  • hsot0086,

Uh...I wasn't talking about the kids. Watch the two adults.

  • @gigig1954 I was responding to your "if this is how kids in the Mormon church are..." response. I watched the two adults. I have my issues with the woman and I totally get what everyone is saying. I guess, if anything, it proves that mormons aren't actors

  • I am a Mormon and I do not approve

  • @dandan1331 how can you not approve? What is wrong with clean fun? How can you disaprove of a church-organized event?

  • @hsot0086 because it is so incredible cheesy and makes Mormons look even more lame.

  • yaaay 2009!! Where's tha shots yalllll????

  • This is very painful to watch.

  • I can't stand Elaine's sweet Primary voice that wouldl give one diabetes because it's so syrupy, and Dalquist's voice quoting Parley Prattass makes me cringe.

  • Oh My Gosh! How embarrassingly horrible! Most of these kids can't even sing and the two adults are so stiff and staged. Can you say cheesy? If this is how kids in the Mormon church are, I want nothing to do with it! Brainwashed.....Brainwashed....Brainwashed.....and silly, embarrassingly silly!!

  • @gigig1954 uh no this is not how kids in the LDS are--and no they are not brainwashed. They do it because they want to.

  • are you sure this isn't the Hitler Youth?

  • @ZelphKinderhook Yeah--Hitler hated Mormons and Jews

  • @hsot0086

and yet these kids sound just like lock-step obedient Hitler Youth. sad.

  • @ZelphKinderhook not necessarily. If so, then every religious dance team, choir, youth group and every performance group even outside of good old mormonville would be as such too and they arent considered so. These kids do this because they want to. I've been a couple of these type of things. It's totally a choice and no one is "lock step". If you look closely you'll see a lot of foul-ups. It's just clean fun

  • WTF did I just watch. Do they really think that is the way to keep youth interested? I would turn and run if I had to sit through that shit.

  • is all of utah there? youtube " The Book of Mormon - Sal Tlay Ka Siti "

  • Loved it! So much fun!!!

  • Breakdancing in the Conference Center. Oh baby. :D

  • @soccerhorsegirl27 heck yeah we had a flippin blast!

  • Always say yes to the leaders of the church or "you will reap exactly what you sow, when you say no." No, Mormonism isn't a cult at all demanding blind obedience even from it's youth.

  • What's blind is that you didn't listen to anything in the song but the "reap what you sow" bit. We don't follow blindly. We follow because we KNOW that what we are doing is good and why.

  • Whaou!!! I really LOVE!!!!

  • I love this song! go forward Saints :]]

  • For sure the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the Book of Mormon proclaims his gospel throughout the entire book. In the King James version of the Bible 1 Cor. 15:3-5 states that Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures. We believe that God has graced the children of men with a another perspective of the same truths of Jesus Christ that are in the Bible.

  • If you disagree... try reading the Book of Mormon and see for yourself how true it is. So if the Book of Mormon is false and its entirely off focus of Jesus Christ... Read John 1:5 God will revealeth it unto you.

  • @Ivanman87 Funny. The response I got back from God is that the Book of Mormon is NOT his word.

  • I love this presentation! Its so straight-forward and true. :)

  • Every new moment I feel free to say YES TO HAPPYNESS. Thank you my dear Jesus Christ for every inspiring message here and in all of you´re wonderful creation!

If anyone reads this and does not feel free ot say yes to happyness - than remember that you are free to turn around and come to Jesus! He is waiting for you. Come home! You are free to decide new and to pray and also to ask for help. I know that our Reedemer lives! He helped me out and now I shout: YES to HAPPYNESS !

  • Right, because that's the alternative. Campy, faux spirituality, or drunk and having sex somewhere. No other choices.

  • This is embarrassingly bad.

"Good, clean, wholesome Latter-day Saint fun!" LOL.

  • I SAY YES to HAPPYNESS!! YES TO CHRIST and being Obedient! :D

  • wow this song is one i like the most, it's very great...the guy who sing the chorus have an amazing voice..great show...!!!!!

  • Yeah, that intro was the cheesiest part of the show, cause they couldn't read the telepromter right haha. But overall, great show!! And yeah that's JP, all the cast went to Village Inn after one of the shows, and he sat next to me and played the ukulele. Shoulda played it on American Idol!

  • this was my other favorite song this thing was just so much fun

  • I have the right to criticize any church I want, its guaranteed by the Constitution. No institution is above criticism, and mormons are no exception. In fact, the more a church claims it is above criticism, the more they need to be criticized.

  • yeah its true

  • this is like a camper and godlier high school musical 0_0

  • I am so glad to see these pure and clean LDS youths spreading such GREAT messages through such fun and clean song and dance!!!

  • And I thought nothing could be cheesier than the Osmonds! Guess I was wrong...

  • scary!

  • My first-grade niece would love to be part of this. Her older fourth-grade sister has, as any normal child, outgrown this kind of childish pap.

  • OMG, there's that Utah accent...

  • I performed in this!! It was so fun and rewarding!!

  • But behold, it is the effects of a phrensied mind; and this derangement of your minds comes because of the tradition of your fathers, which lead you away into a belief of things which are not so.

  • Behold, these things which ye call prophecies, which ye say are handed down by holy prophets, behold, they are foolish traditions of your fathers. How do ye know of their surety? Behold, ye cannot know of things which ye do not see; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ. Ye look forward and say, that ye see a remission of your sins.

  • And this Anti- Christ, whose name was Korihor, and the law could have no hold upon him. And he began to preach unto the people, that there should be no Christ. And after this manner did he preach, saying: O ye that are bound down under a foolish and a vain hope, why do ye yoke yourselves with such foolish things? Why do ye look for a Christ? For no man can know of any thing which is to come.

  • ugh. how creepy. those boys aren't wearing white shirts...tsk tsk tsk

  • you are so out of this world this is the mormon young women and young men=)

  • i kinda get tired of the dialogue at the beginning cuz it goes on forever, so skip to about 2:23 to see the song. i love these singers!

  • Nice. All hail!

  • I so love the video so much.....it uplifts me so much....Im so thankful i became a member of the church,...hope it will happen here in Philippines..:'-)

  • I wish THAT I was there!! I looks so much fun!!

  • ugh.

  • Is that Tongan kid on the 8th season of American Idol? I think he made it through to Hollywood.

  • he's not togan he's SAMOAN...

  • i would have to say that this has strenghthend my testimony for shure!

i thought this was verry good..i dont care what u pple think i thought it was awesome:]

  • Now that Monson is president, is this going to be the norm among the LDS?

  • No This was just a fun little fire side for the youth to go to... It was fun for the kids to preform and to watch... But youve gotta admit this music has a much better message then the stuff we usually listen to...

  • Yeah - out of context it seems a bit cheesy and does seem to be satire evangelicals - but just look at those happy kids - not doing anything to hurt anybody, and staying out of trouble...

  • wow. this is just sad.

  • I never realized the Morman Church was so ethnically diverse. White kids of every shape, color, and size, and some Polynesians to boot!

  • luv this!!!
