  • They tried to do that with Buells 146 HP VS BMW 193 HP.. Thats like comparing kid VS adult man doing that trick!

  • This voice over guy has an amazing voice. No homo......

    =D

  • i think the issue is that jamie isnt a world class rider like the bmw guy prolly was.

  • He failed becose he didnt use BMW 1000rr !!!

  • i think that if the rope between the bike and the cloth was a lot longer many 3 or 4 meters then maybe it would give the bike enough time to accelerate, but only 1 meter won't do it, as it has to accelerate really quickly, which it can't really do

  • Different bike (and different rider if that matters), less slack on the rope, and different placement of rope on the bike. Also, the people at Mythbusters probably only tried this once. Who knows? Maybe BMW had to try several times.

  • as someone mentioned that was not the BMW S1000RR and i would like you to notice that position of the pipe when bike started is not the same like in the video which is 2 big differences , especially the pipe that gets momentum and sudden force it implies on cloth . I HATE WHEN MYTH BUSTERS DO TESTS THAT ARE NOT COPY PASTE ,but add their variables to it , and they do this often , like it was problem to call producer of video and ask if it is possible , how did they do it, and what is needed ?

  • THAT AIN'T A BMW S1000RR BOI!!!! xD

  • @rock3tcat yeah the motor sound is american.

  • Buster made 29 accounts.

  • thats coz its not a BMW s1000RR!!!

  • proven a fake, the cookery was resting on plastic and then the tablecloth under the plastic

  • not a bmw ALSO in the original video the rope had slack the bike had alil time to accelerate before pulling more like a big jerk ...mythbusters had the rope tight leaving it to not jerk the cloth quickly ...which having adam or jamie as the bike rider does not do justice....FIRST BMW SECOND PRO RIDER THREE SLACK IN ROPE

  • slow motion montage gave me an erection.

  • FAIL its not am BMW

  • Use a BMW S1000RR! 204 bhp, 0-100 km/h in 2,9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 6,9 seconds. That's a wee difference from the douchebaggery bike they used in this video. Replicate it fully or don't try it in the first place.

  • when the bmw takes off the edge of the tablecloth is on the ground.. that makes a difference i think

  • Bmw s1000rr has a little thing that when you press it accelerate you more.

real or not bmw is still awesome.

  • Bmw s1000rr has a little thing that when you press it accelerate you more.

  • If they are going to replicate scenario, they should replicate it fully. A Buel 1125 is not a BMW S1000RR with its wheelie/launch control which I am sure BMW would have used.

Also Jamie may be a very capable rider, I don’t know, but is he as capable as he rider on the BMW video. Also what about the surface the bike was on, was that the same? I am not saying the result would be different and no I don’t think the BMW video is real. Oh and no I am not a pissed off S1000RR rider.

  • newtons first law of motion?!?!

  • この回のは面白かった。実際の映像もこのトリック(…の様に見える)を使ってるのかなぁw w

  • it didnt work because he wasnt on a BMW. DUH.

  • Jamie looks awesome on a motorcycle ^^

  • @Choclu7. They did this with 600 feet of rope going 100mph. It still failed. Myth BUSTED. In the viral video they tested, if you look closely, you can see the clear plastic on top of the table after they pull the cloth. I don't think it would of worked at 200mph either. Too much friction man.

  • If the rope was longer and the bike had more speed this WOULD work

  • it seemd to me that there was something on top of the table cloth( like a wooden board, the size of the table) in the vid they saw

  • I hope that guy is not really riding the bike. It takes a professorial to get the 0-60 times you see advertised...especially on a bike.

  • My crush on Adam is getting outta hand! I went to my happy place near the begining and kinda missed the rest of the clip! Lol :p

  • they should of used the bmw s 1000rr bike.......lol

  • why not try pulling it from the wider side?

  • @branch62 they were trying to replicate the video

  • They really let me down with this one. Why didn't they use a god damn ROCKET to pull that tavble cloth???!!!!

  • I want the mythbusters to try this with the 'rocket thingy' they used to split a car.. that should be fast enough

  • its not the result you idiots, they get it to work, with the buell, with jamie

  • I concur that it doesn't count if you guys don't use the BMW S1000RR. It's apples and oranges and not apples to apples

There's no launch or traction control on that POS you are riding

  • @silversleeper484

The "launch control" on the BMW is the shift light blinking at the "ideal" RPM, and it doesn't work well according to Mark Miller, who won the TTXGP at Isle of Man and who rode a stock-motored S1000RR at the Macau GP this year.

  • if everything needs to be like the video than the bike needs to be the S1000RR not some POS buell and not to mention thier going to need a better rider.

  • @thatscrazy360 Jamie did fine, and the Buell is no POS. Even the magical S1000RR couldn't have pulled this stunt off. If you honestly think the BMW video showed a simple tablecloth pull, with no tricks or CGI, you're sorely mistaken.

  • @EyeSquaredAre either way off the first run he could have gunned it more like the video instead of driving off. why didnt they try a take off hard enough for a decent wheely?

  • @three0234 He actually gunned it too much because he spun the rear wheel. The concrete floor in that building looks very smooth and would not provide enough traction for a decent launch. The original video is clearly a fake, no bike on the planet could make this work.

  • @EyeSquaredAre - i mean i was sure of it as a fake, but i seriously dont think of them as professionals for most things they do. i've seen wheelys right in front of me on a concrete road. so maybe it's the wrong gear started in? i was just asking for some real effort on plausible or not instead of their usual coming in seemingly with so much doubt.

  • @three0234 Yeah sometimes these guys come off more like yahoos than professionals, but they're more experienced and better equipped than 99% of the people trying this stuff. Concrete roads and streets are given a rough finish and when new, provide outstanding traction. Floors in garages, hangars and industrial buildings are generally much smoother and often times have a seal coating which makes them rather slick. The 100 MPH test they did (with 600' of rope) convinced me it wasn't plausible.

  • @EyeSquaredAre no where did i say that the BMW could do it what i was trying to say was since adam even said it himself that the test needs to be exactly like the video....where is the BMW? all i see is an ugly Buell.

  • @thatscrazy360 Why does it need to be exactly like the video? That's not possible. Mythbusters doesn't have the same table, dishes, tablecloth and the concrete surface they were launching the bike from is impossible to match. They used a fast motorcycle, that's close enough. It's not like other myths where the unique characteristics of something are paramount to testing the myth's plausibility. By the way, did you watch the episode?

  • They gonna use the wrong table cloth and the wrong bike. Cause the real video shows a bmw and seems like a launch control cause he looked like he jumped the bike to 60 mph in the orig. Vid. Check it and compare the vids

  • does anyone know what opera song that is at the end?

  • @apo115

Casta Diva from Norma by Bellini.

  • @bernstorm thankyou =)

  • hey, show us what happens in fact!! :D

  • its cool that this guys are from sf were im from! Epic Show!

  • it show in the thing wwhere its playing the music the failure of it

  • FUCK!

I really wanted to see it!!!

  • @creeperd7 Yeah that is horrible, no more Teaser Trailors

  • Damn you Discovery for teasing me so!

  • @DiscoveryNetworks Mythbusters made a mistake...in the original video the end of the cloth on the pulling side reaches to the ground and from there the rope goes to the bike. in this video it is shorter so the bike will start pulling the cloth earlier than the original video, so with less speed and power.

  • All they need is for motor bike to be going at a good speed before the rope gets tight and the cloth to be pulled exactly horizontal and it could well work.

  • lol it shows the slow motion result at the end..

  • @avalanch08 the slow motion at the end does not show whats pulling the cloth, they may have hooked the cloth up to a rocket just to try and do it

  • @avalanch08 uh no that was from the viral video theyre testing.

  • what's ironic about this is that right after they fade, they have a promo with the result of the myth.

  • viral video is fake, probbably switched to another clip of him clapping of a fake success

  • Ignorant comments never fail to amuse me. xD

  • bet they got a stunt man in for the bike ;)

  • it shows the end restult in the end commercials

  • @LJLiveLV

though you can't see the table closeby, the stuff might have fallen and he just drove a long way :o

  • of course its not gonna happen

  • Gotta say im dissapointed they did this party trick.. could have done some an actual myth instead

  • 1:37 #FAIL they show the experiment #FAIL ing in the commercial

  • @zabusant and that is the mythbuster way, kids

BLOW EVRY FCKING THING TO SMITHEREENES!!

    WOOHOOO

awww my sugar rush is gone nnow D':

  • Jamie looks hot in his gear

  • frekin ending spoiled it!

  • we did this at my school. We had a small table, then we pulled the cloth out from under neath the glass plate and drinking glass. It worked, but only because there was some downward motion as well. The motorcycle wouldn't work.

  • @milliondollarmistake i wont work because the cloth has to much area to it the longer the oblects are in contact with it the more likely for them to fall

  • 1:15 That video is fake and you don't have to be a nuclear scientist to realize that...

  • @4N0NYM0U557 hahaha fuck... theyve literally run out of ideas and are now just calling random fake videos "myths"...

  • @fields911 They've litterally done hundreds of shows, cut them some slack.

  • ATTENTION FELLOW MYTHBUSTERS:

    SPOILERS ARE IN THE END

    P.S. - IT DOESN'T WORK.

  • Thanks a lot for spoiling the clip, mandatory promo.

  • dislike for spoilers

  • wtf i was watching that y they shut it off?

  • @phenixking300 they spoil it at the end

  • they show it fail on the advert... thats a bit stupid.... anyway... to get anything like the video the bike needs a quite long running start

  • its faked. due to to deal with just one table setting you need downward force is the main key to the tick not just pulling out. if you pull out you just bring everything along with it

  • SPOILERS WARNING SPOILERS

    it fails

  • @ILCOVERU

    SPOILERS

Spoiler warnings in text are stupid.

    END SPOILERS

  • read pres. obama is going to be on the the episode airing december 8th. looking forward to that.

  • so we need these guys.. lol they were like "hey mom, I'm on TV" :D

  • 1:37 FAIL!

  • Haha outro fail to cover up the video.

  • I like how they don't show what happened so they don't spoil it, but it ends up being in the montage at the end anyway, lol.

  • yea its def faked. like u have to pull downward first. there no way u can just pull straight and it stays that still

  • We saw it at 1:37 hehehe

  • YOU TEASE!

  • The original video looks motion tracked.

  • @lordkelvin1 Or rather, it looks like it's on a plastic sheet or something.

  • AHHHH I HATE HOW THEY CUT IT OFF LIKE THAT!!! I WANNA sseeeeeee...Sob.

  • @M3iscool

    Just go to 1:36... hehe

  • In case you're wondering... 1:37 It fails.

  • @Cypress77 it looks like most of it survives, so it mighta been plausible

  • Dicovery needs to put whole Muthbusters episodes up.

  • hmm...this reminds me of my favorite quote... "When in doubt, C4"

  • I like how it says Busting is beautiful. my perve senses are tingling.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • HA! You just revealed how the outcome is in the end trailer! AH HAHAHA!

  • @LiquidZ2k cool story bro

  • @LiquidZ2k hahaha epic fail!

  • @LiquidZ2k the trailer at the end does not show whats pulling the cloth, they may have hooked the cloth up to a rocket just to try and do it. Then again we cant see it so it might be the bike

  • @000kid000 Hmm... ok I'll give you that, damn...

  • @LiquidZ2k @avalanch08 uh no that was from the viral video theyre testing.

  • no it doesn't work.. the clip of it is at the end.

  • @Peevot From what I saw in that tiny clip it worked fine, only a few things fell off.

  • @thethrifter1 but the thing was, to do what the video did, and nothing fell off in the video.

  • TABLE

now blow it up mythbusters style

  • 2nd :D!

  • weee first
