Apologies to all the Mari Iijima fans out there, but it took this version to make me realize I didn't dislike the song itself so much as the way they recorded it in the '80s. Never liked the original, but when I heard this one I thought, "That's actually a good song!"

The original singer made it sound like she put her heart and soul into the song, this one just sounds like she's singing/reciting the lyrics with little emotion. It doesn't strike a chord in your mind like the original one. Don't get me wrong, this girl sings nicely but her version is nothing remarkable.

This has got to be the best vesion of this song ever. I like it more when it was in the anime final scene. It was good in the old macross movie, and decent when they tried to make it better.
