  • Wasn't Pappas' last national tour telecast. He made the show in the Showboat Doubles with Schlegel in '86.

  • For both players in this match, this would be the last telecast on the national tour they'd ever make. Not too much of a surprise in Dick Weber's case at age 55, but George Pappas was only 38 at the time and had made the telecast in Torrance a couple of weeks earlier.

  • Well I think you can say that some athletes are born with physical attributes that give them an advantage over other athletes, and in turn, those other athletes have to practice and work harder to be good. But I think it comes down to genetics more than anything.

  • Fantastic. Such a great gentleman and bowler.

  • What did he win in the 80's?

  • According to the pba archives, the last title Dick Weber won was in 1977. Unless they are including the Senior tour.

  • 7:29 best strike ever, haha

  • Always nice to see the greatest bowler of all time on TV Always a pleasure
