But behind that, the pains, insults, discrimation, embarassment are always there. 90% of the Fil. hospital workers are not only having 1 job. Mostly 2 jobs, even 3 jobs every week. If you have a house,a nice car, your kids are also living here, 1 job is not enough to pay all your bills.

The salary of $30/hr. in Florida is pretty good because the cost of living there is relatively low. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, nurses earn as much as $50/hr plus up to 20% nightime differential but the cost of living is quite high. I think the pace of life in Florida is a litlle bit slower, the stresses in life are a little bit less, I kind of envy these Filipino RNs working in Florida. I work as an RN for almost 30 years now here in San Francisco.
