  • that would be cool if we did that at the same time... :)

  • You'd better choose Challenge difficulty on DDR

  • .......

  • Because doing both at the same time is totally possible.

  • im asking a question omg man. u guyz dont have to fucking give me a thumbs down for a question ffs.

  • F@#CKING HELL O_O So Fast

  • You probably should have used FAXX ONI footage instead of standard. >w>;;; And is the IIDX side on Hyper or Another?

  • IIDX is on Another (note the red text). Hyper doesn't have a 100 combo opener lol.

  • Umm... FAXX DDR SN is on Heavy mode (aka Expert).

  • The challenge chart for FAXX is even more retarded than the expert.

  • Nice video :)

I think that FAXX is harder on IIDX compared to DDR.. but it depends. Obviously FAXX on DDR Oni is harder physically, but IIDX is harder mentally (you need better hand-eye co-ordination, reflexes).

It's funny watching the BG dancers on FAXX with SN. Because of the insane BPM's and BPM changes, they are going insane.

  • Asura96 awesome idea that would be so fun lol

  • oh look its Zero lol.

  • Konami needs to release a new Club version. SuperNOVA2 + IIDX 14 GOLD...just imagine!

  • It'll sure as hell make Rock Band look like shit...

  • Both games are difficult in their own ways. There I said it. To be "good" in DDR is easier than being "good" in IIDX.

  • DDR is a much stronger physical strain. There may be only four arrows, but if you don't wuss out and use the bar like a pussy you actually have quite a challenge moving fast enough. IIDX is vastly more mentally challenging. With the hardest songs having upwards of 2000 notes that span across 7 very indistinct keys and a turntable, it takes much more work master. On top of that, the timing in IIDX is far more strict than in DDR.

  • EXTREMELY STRICT!!! I was comparing Xepher on both IIDX (Happy Sky) and on DDR SuperNova just to see which one has the highest full combo a while back...

  • ...Xepher on HS gets a higher combo in the intro then Xepher on SN (Challenge) gets throughout the entire song.

  • oh look its Ixion lol.

  • I don't know how using the bar makes you a pussy. Go kill yourself.

  • Playing in iidx you can't die well you can have a heart attack playing on a ddr machine

  • you could get a seizure from the note flashes.

  • In all fairness, if you're going to compare the two the least you can do is compare them at their hardest difficulties. IIDX14 is on Another while DDR SN is on expert (challenge mode version is more of a fair comparisson all considering Fascination Maxx has a challenge mode chart).

They are both very hard for different reasons

  • Wrong. Fascination maxx has an another on 14 keys in iidx while Fascination Maxx on DDR has an oni on Double play. I'd still say FAXX doubles oni is MUCH easier than FAXX 7keys another, but I've been playing both these games for a very long time.

  • Considering the video is 7 Key (Another) you compare it to single play (Challenge) mode on DDR.

If this video were (14 key) on IIDX14 then compare it to Fascination Maxx double (Challenge) (2 dance pads, 2 "dj" set ups).

It's of no concern to me which is harder than the other, one is hard for your feet, the other for your hand(s). You can't exactly compare it especially if you factor in something like leg/knee problems or even someone with carpal tunnel.

  • One last thing, I've been playing DDR and Pump for quite a few years. As for Beatmania IIDX, i've only been playing for less than 2 years. I would hardly say i'm great at IIDX and I could care less how good I am at it, don't need to be the best to enjoy a game ("making music" and techno are fun on their own).

So just because someone has a different view than you doesn't make them automaticaly wrong.

  • I'm not trying to dispute your opinion, but the fact that they're not on their hardest difficulties, that's all.

  • Damn

  • playing IIDX wears the arms out too, especially your upper forearms somehow they end up moving around a lot. Only playing style I see that doesn't move the arms much is one handed style and you can count the amount of people who use that on... one hand.

  • 1 hand is insanely more tiring than 2 hand. Your joints get stressed out really fast, including your wrist.

  • the difference between the two: beatmanias better co its got no announcer :P

  • I sense a SUBSTREAM of SuperNova 2 and the next IIDX. What endeavors shall occur?

  • nan to naku CLUB VER. ppokute OK. =D

  • That's kinda a bullshit comparison here. IIDX= 8 notes while you have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. DDR= 4 notes and 2 feet. DDR is more tiring to cause it's more movement, while with IIDX and stepmania you may get a thumb cramp...

If you want to make it a better comparison then you should have put DDR doubles with IIDX, which just ends up proving that 8 notes and 2 feet is even harder (no brainer). Oh yea, hand-eye coord muchos better than eye-foot. =)

  • Maybe, but beatmania has a hell of more notes, and more notes at once, where in DDR, you only get 2 at once. beatmania also has many more rapid taps, and the turntable isn't that easy to spin with just one finger crazily. Most of DDR's songs are a simple flow with only some parts that crossovers can't handle, and doubles isn't that much harder since you go from one side to the other. Also, getting used to the DDR pad shouldn't take even a song, where getting used to IIDX will take hours.

  • Please don't tell me that the smallest note in IIDX is 1/256. >_>

  • you might only have 2 feet, but the patterns in ddr are so much easier than in iidx. its usually the same shit. each song in iidx is different and follows the song. there might be some songs for ddr that do this, but not to the level that iidx has. i also remember you can play doubles with iidx. 14 key vs 8 steps. sure we might have more fingers, but you try processing 14 keys and 2 turntables.

  • Let's get serious ppl. IIDX= 8 notes while you have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs. DDR= 4 notes with only two feet. Plus, you get tired playing DDR cause its more physical. IIDX and stepmaina may give you a thumb cramp...

If you want a better comparison, you may be able to take DDR doubles and IIDX then compare and say which is harder, just to be a little more fair.

  • IIDX has doubles too, and IIDX is 7 notes and a turntable.

you're only giving numbers right now and you're not doing much to prove that DDR is harder. numbers might help DDR look as if it's harder than IIDX, but only after personal experience will you learn that the IIDX learning curve is indeed very much heavier than DDR.

  • 2 feet AND 2 hands as well.

  • Not in DDR.

Well they had 1 hand once, but that didn't count.

  • 2 feet and "10 fingers"

  • DDR (and to a lesser extent, GFdm), is easier than IIDX, given that its notes are easier-read, and also doesn't have a "gauge" requirement, which IIDX & PoMu have.

  • DDR & IIDX are both insane... :|

    i can't compare both..

  • Yes,I think Pop'n music can also compare with DDR.

  • Wow, it really shows how insane IIDX is compared to DDR.

  • I think that too, but you should keep in mind that DDR is played with your feet rather than your fingers, requiring stamina and hand ( or feet) eye coordination, and reaction speed. But who cares. I love both! =)

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats a good 1
