  • I already own the 60 inch Bravia. My controller says Internet video but when I click it nothing happens, is it internet capable?

  • @digitalmillenia no is not internet compatible

  • you got a returned item that had stuff taken out of it :D happens all the time.

  • im gonna get this tv is this a good size if you plan to sit 5 feet from it

  • Firstly; this is not how a review is made.

Secondly; Even a salesman would be more excited, although I don't really care about that, I'd really enjoy some more demonstration. How big it is, how fat it is, how it fits on a wall, and finally some blackness demonstration.

  • 1.5 minutes were wasted on opening the box''''''lol

  • U can't b pissed cos you did'nt get screws with the stand, you can only b pissed-off

  • I can see your old school tv behind you

  • Is the TV stand plastic?

  • This is the slowest and least excited I've ever seen someone open an HDTV box, lol

  • Any issues with backlight bleeding?

  • @Coligion no

  • did this tv come with screws to put on the stand? because mine didnt and im very pissed that sony didnt provide the screws necessary...

  • @fallenlino yes

  • Buy a new house or renovate it! Only then buy a new TV. Check your priorities list!

  • Does it have a headphone port for headsets?

  • @MegaPablo1231 yes it does

  • cant believe they still release TV that thick, jesus.... not for me

  • @carnews333 No Mpeg-4. Here's what it supports: Photo Viewer (jpeg), Music Player (mp3), Video Player (mpeg1), Video Player (mpeg2 TS).

Who cares anyway? Why would you carry a USB drive to your computer everytime you want to watch a movie? There's no ethernet/wireless on this TV.

  • I'm getting the 60" one Saturday. sweeeet.

  • what a gaylord

  • Did it have any dead/stuck pixels? Mine did and I had to return it and exchange it for a new one :(

  • @s1gnex i am happy enough with my 42in LG right now lmao

  • @s1gnex lg's are pretty good as well, well i had my for over 3 years now atleast

  • I have the 40 ex500 has anyone had any issues with adding tv channels to favorites, for some reason I cannot. Sony told me it may be a hardware issue...just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

  • i was gonna buy a 46in ex700 but decided yo get a 46in ex500 and with the money i saved i got a ps3 :) ..ex500 is cheap and looks great

  • @JestRv10

You wasting money with LED. I have a 46'' bravia without LED. my little brother has the same WITH led. We put the tv's together to compare, but you cant see the difference @ all. The only difference between both tv's was the size.

  • I'm seriously considering whether I should go with the ex500 40 inch, or the LED EX700 model. I don't know if I'm just wasting money going with the LED. If it helps , I'm planning on using the TV at home, alot of gaming involved and blu ray.

  • @JestRv10 it all depends on you because if you want new technology go for the led or if you want to save money go for the ex500

  • @carnews333 Yea I think I'd go with the E700, money isn't much of an option atm so might as well.

  • @JestRv10

You wasting money with LED. I have a 46'' bravia without LED. my little brother has the same WITH led. We put the tv's together to compare, but you cant see the difference @ all.

  • @JestRv10 get ex600 like 200 bucks cheaper and it's also LED- backlit (EDEGE)

    difference x600 and x700 = x600 ( Bravia engine 2) , X700 (Bravia engine 3)

    That's all

  • i love the smell of the new TV!

  • Sorry to say this but this model has an input lag of 30ms-50ms which isn't good for hardcore gamers who play online or for any fast paced game. Or for any person who does care about lag. The viewing angles are bad on this set. I really wanted the 32 inch version of this tv but after some research on the avs forums I decided to wait until I got more info on a tv with low input lag and with ips panels. But other then that it's a pretty good tv for blurays and regular gaming.

  • whats the response time on this LCD? I think I notice it when I game

  • @FrankDaTank1218 i believe its 8ms.

  • is this tv good for gaming? (ps3)

  • @carnews333 oh ok. but i heard some various reports from users about input lag?

    did you experience such thing?

    im seriously considering this tv.

  • @jagdiggarstoratuttar I have this TV there is no lag in Game Mode and minimal lag in other modes. it's good for gaming.

  • @azm1987 the lag on this model is pretty high. was on my top 5 list to get this week but i guess i need to choose a different TV.

  • How's the viewing angle? *giggles*

  • hey dude i need to no something when u watch a bluray movie on this sony tv and its a wide screen movie like transformers revegnge of the fallen on bluray and since its wide screen u no the two black lines on the top and the bottom ---- r u able 2 take the 2 black line out and watch the movie full screen ------ in some tvs u can do that ------- if u can let me no that would help a lot cuz i plan on getting this tv at walmart next week --------------- thanks and awesome video peace

  • @carnews333, hi i have the same tv, but i cannot find the ethernet port. where on the tv is it

  • @beesnees14 it doesn't have an ethernet port

  • @carnews333 It does have a Etherney port located on the rear view. Only 1 ethernet available. Read the side of your Box it's displays all information about pannels.

  • i got the 40 inch and i connected it to my pc and xbox, so badass

  • @GUCCImontana420 im getting the 40 inch tomorow, gonna connect my pc to it and maybe even get a ps3 for the fun for it :P pc will be so awesome!!!

  • @abdoelah01 yea its the perfect size for serving as both a tv and pc monitor.

  • @netkongen sorry for the last comment . i ment what trap your talking about

  • Well I know it been awhile since I comment on here but I now saving up for a new Sony Bravia it 40inch 240hz with internet features but only sold in Sam club, its $850 dollars...

  • hey i have the same tv u have but tell me something on the upper left side corner do u see a light on black images? mine does and i want to kno if its like that or its the tv please answer as fast as you can

  • @MrParanoico no. it might be a dead pixel. contact sony for that

  • I have this same exact tv and I have already been through 2 of them......the problem is that I see these little faint white lines going up and down the screen when I play a game and move left or right you can see them. Especially on dark gray or blue backgrounds. I first noticed it on the nighttime sky in Red Dead....

  • Got the exact same tv. OMG PS3 on this tv is a dream! Congrats to both of us man!

  • do you know how I can watch youtube videos in 1080p on this tv? :) thx

  • @northwind877 to play it directly to the tv you will need a 1080p video on a usb stick; beacuse this tv has no ethernet port

  • @carnews333 thank you, my tv is the KDL-40EX500 and I can watch youtube videos on the TV via ethernet port.

For example I watched the Dark Knight Trailer, but I can't find the settings for 1080p.. it looks like 480p

  • @northwind877 well in that case is the program the sony use(and can not be changed). mostly all device that i have that play youtube (like ps3 and blu ray player) play like 480p.

  • @northwind877 do you just plug the ethernet directly into the tv? does the tv have a built in browser?

  • got the 60 ex500 best tv i have ever owned but the sound sucks you must get a home theather system.

  • @masoodmagic101 yea i should get one; but i on't have space in my home

    P.S sony offered a free blue ray with a 46 inch ex500

  • got the 60 ex500 best tv i have ever owned but the sound sucks you must get a home theather system.

  • What is the input lag/response time on this tv? I want to know if it is good for gaming.

  • getting a 55" EX500 in a week or two.. I CANT WAIT!

  • Video games are just like movies in that they run at a certain FPS (frames per second). 30fps is playable and anything higher than 60fps is hard to discern with the human eye.

Refresh rate is amount of scans per second a display has. Old CRTs have always enjoyed anywhere from 60hz to 200+. LCD monitors, on the other hand, were mostly limited to 60hz or maybe 75hz at lower resolutions.

Combine the two technologies and in order to prevent screen tearing, you need V-Sync.....

  • Any 120hz or 240hz TV/Monitor is 3D Ready. At least I know of one way to get it to your TV/Monitor: Nvidia's 3D Vision. Their list of 3D Ready displays needs to be updated but you get the idea. Just type that into Google and you'll find their main website.

3D is generated by layering two 60hz signals on the same screen. The 3D glasses then use a fancy shutter system to filter out each picture from the other eye and thus generates 3D. Without the glasses, it just looks blurry.

  • whats the calibration settings u used?....best buy charges me 300 bucks for it....lol

  • Can you provide a link with information on the EX500 series being "3D capable"? What I've read in Sony's press releases that other (i.e. higher end) series either have 3D functionality built-in, or are 3D ready (using 3D active shutter glasses and 3D transmitter sold separately). But I didn't find anything about the EX500 series being 3D ready.

    Thanks for this review.

  • @dliuzzi no that was by mistake

  • Nice TV

How about the sound quality ?

  • @666patrickbateman666 it is preety good for a 10 watt speaker. but it will be better in a home theather speaker

  • yeah man ! cool... thanks for the "litele" unboxing ;)

    Bye from Germany

  • hey excuse me by asking you, is it ok to play your games on 60hz or 120hz because I got an EX400 32" 1080p TV but with 60hz, my best buy employer told me that games are suppose to be played on 120hz TV to decease blur

  • @RandyWells3000 : well you can play video games on a 60hz , but on a 120hz or 240hz will look much better in fast motion pace

  • i like it
