He won't make the HOF, but to still be pitching at a high quality in his mid-40s? That's remarkable. You won't see another pitcher like him again, so appreciate him while he's still out there.
Moyer had 2 good years in Philly, and was a major part of them winning the world series. He had a decade in Seattle and was a major part of them setting the single season win record .
It's unlikely that he'll go to the hall at all which is sad because he's an amazing pitcher. However if he does get in, it will almost certainly be with a mariners cap on.
@hkkiid i dont think so.. hes a hometown hero here in philly. and because he went to two world series here. although he spent ten years with seattle i think hes a philly at heart.
Hey mariners fans guess what you could'nt give Jamie hmm how bout a big ass rock the size of pittsburg on his finger that says world champions take that seattle. Phillies all day!!!!!!!
Hey, Moron Phillie fan, watching Jamie earn a ring was nice, but in just about any other year, other than last year, when the upstart Rays ran out of gas, there's no way your team or any other N(ot good)L team wins a World Series. Gotta say,though... you represent your fair city well. Isn't there a Santa Claus in your neighborhood you can go boo?
Wow. You represent your city well, with your eloquent use of language and words that don't stretch past four letters. Your city and your team must be rather lucky to have you. Hasn't your beloved franchise also lost the most games in baseball history? You may have the most recent World Series, but you'll always have that honorific. And, apparently, no one's more deserving than you. How long did it take to get those callouses from dragging your knuckles on the ground?
He grew up as a die-hard Phillies "phan" (he even played hooky in 1980 to attend the championship parade), and I think he'll go into the Hall of Fame with the Phillies "P" on his cap.

Gooooo Jamie! Player of the Game, world series Game 3! And that flip to 1st base... I bet most of the 25 year olds on this site couldn't do that! Moyer will keep pitching until his age matches his number. You heard it here 1st!
this could be the best Mariner highlight of the past 6 years

Isitrealgood takes great pride in bashing Phils fans. I hope you realize that Jamie Moyer is himself a life-long Phils fan!
He stood there at Citizens Bank Park after the Series win and told the fans that he "lived and died with the Phillies just like you have".
As I posted earlier, he played hooky from high school to attend the 1980 championship parade.
When he made his first start as a Cub (vs. the Phils), he took pride that Harry Kalas would announce his name!
