Don't drop your lower back and hips, this shortens the lever arm. In reality, a one arm pushup is just that, a proper push up (feet together, shoulders to ankle in straight line, neck in neutral, legs fully straight) with one arm behind your back. Also, you need to work on limiting the thoracic rotation you are using for momentum.
I can do like 3 and im out of shape so im not impressed

@RebOriginal I can too but I'm a weightlifter that does powerbuilding.
Although, my eyes go VERY red. Due to the increased blood flow to my head but it feels horrible.

@supergeo562 if you start by doing them on higher surfaces (feet n the ground) and hand on a chair
it will get easier
if thats still too tough, start by leaning towards a wall. the further up your hand is the easier it is.
you want to have a max of no more than 10. and you want to do half your max, about 3 times a day (so 5 3 times a day)
you can do more sets, but you want to take brake days like 2 days on 1 off, if you are doing lots. its for your joints

Pavel Tsatsouline does it with the opposite leg elevated, that makes it harder both weightweight and resistance-wise, yes?
