    Is there a place where one can still purchase plans for the Quail?

  • is that 1600cc vw? does it have an alternator to start the engine or do you have vertex magnetos?

  • it is a 2180, I had a 1600 on it at first but I and the plane are a bit heavy so upgraded... it is a Slick magneto on the back of the engine.

  • Absolutely fabulous video. I bought plans for a quail many years ago along with an engine and the tailplane kit. Never finished it. Always wondered what it would look like flying. Hats off to you.
