You forgot about my favorite Amazon critter...the candiru fish! Thats the one that is attracted to ammonia and urea. So you're swimming in the Amazon...there's no bathroom...in the water you go. The candiru smells that sweet, sweet aroma and swims up into the source; where it latches on with razor-sharp barbs. have fun getting THAT out!
Using your iphone as a flashlight? In the jungle? And when your battery goes dead, then what? lol You should grab one of those wind-up LED flashlights! No batteries required, just a few cranks of the handle; and bright as all f**k!
How did it went? Not too many bugs, I hope (I think you sound be safe with your precautions). Thanks fot uploading this, it's nice to see you more personally ;)
Don't forget to pack WATER and some energy bars just in case... and maybe some ear plugs in case the natives you encounter have a crappy band! You rock, Tony!
Para los que no han escuchado bien... Tony y los demás han aprovechado el día libre entre sus conciertos en Sudamérica y México para parar en Iquitos, Perú, y darse un paseo por el Amazonas... no es en Chile, por favor...
Tony: nice packing strategy, though if it's the kind of one-day tours normally available in Iquitos it's probable that the natives will have better apps in their iPhones than you... nice meeting you in Lima, BTW, and the concert was better than Thursday's dinner.
Antonio - perhaps a little Campari might scare off the remaining wild critters you may encounter. Between the two beverages, I feel you're relatively safe. The flashlight app has already saved me a few times - great to change strings or repair flutes with!
It's just a day trip, right? I mean, you can't stay for long; there's no air conditioning, no cable. And isn't that the area with the huge snakes that eat boats? I saw it in a film. Oh wait; maybe that was someplace else. Never mind.
Hey Tony...where's the Japanese Racoon hand gel? I believe this is the first time I've seen you without it...I'm concerned! Perhaps we can get the fine people at the racoon hand gel company to sponsor Stick Men??? Have fun...see you soon...m

Very well done Tony. This is probably more comical than you probably thought it would come off. Watch out for the piranhas.
